   Went with my wife to watch the Kentucky Derby at the bar, and to celebrate her birthday at a table after the race. We explained the plan to our bartender, and to Xan, and they made the night go better than we could hope for. Our bartender was attentive but not intrusive, paced everything perfectly, and Xan topped it off with a complimentary tasting of a very high end treat. For dinner, we were shown upstairs to a two-top table in front, overlooking Main Street. Our waitress Margaret was a gem, and our drinks and entrees came out at just the right time, just as described, and delicious. Kix made our night fantastic, and we've been telling all our friends ever since. Forget the negative reviews. Be open minded and go for fun and good food. Visit Kix for a great experience. We will definitely continue to recommend it, and we'll return this summer for sure. Thanks Xan!

   We have dined upstairs prior, but decided to try a high top in the bar area. Both have been wonderful places to be seated. Food is wonderful, service is outstanding. Just a great place for a meal and drinks.

   great experience! ordered something new to me and very happy with the dish. Love the presentation as well as the quality of the food (yep I admit I'm a food snob). Love KIX because we are never disappointed in the experience - from food to service to the quality.

   The wait staff was awesome! Helpful, friendly, excellent sense of humor. The food is delicious especially the FraDiavolo . And the grilled cheese and tomato/basil soup. And the calamari and, well, everything. Except the old people behind us who didn’t have inside voices, apparently.

   This place is a hidden gem. I found it searching online for something unique and I found it. We had calamari, ahi tuna wontons and lobster & corn bisque. It was all so flavorful, served hot and quickly. The wontons and calamari were unique with flavors. Staff were all very nice, the decor is very rustic with exposed brick. I highly recommend.

   I don’t usually eat calamari as it always seems chewy to me the calamari that we ordered at Kix on Main  was wonderful and cooked perfectly!! And by the way, Margaret was wonderful!!

   We arrived about 10-15 minutes early for our reservation. We were told a table on the heated roof "just opened up" and they could seat us there. I said yes, then proceeded up the narrow steep stairway. It smelled funny up there, like old fried food..the tables and windowsills are filthy. The food was subpar. They do not bring your meals together yet one at a time. My husband got his food and mine came about 6 minutes later. It is strange. For the prices they charge, I expect cleanliness at a minimum.
