Great food and service. Limited menu choices.
Food was great - Not sure if It was only one server working because the service was not the best.
I really had high expectations, but was disappointed. Hopefully it was the result of the pandemic. The server was preoccupied with one of the 4 tables she had, causing us delays in ordering our different courses. The menu was extremely limited. With that being said, I expected the food to be amazing. It was amazingly ordinary. It was no more than a strip mall, Styrofoam containered carribean carryout. At this point, the only thing I see going for this place is the ambience. I want to give them another try, but will wait until things normalize.
Food in the past was amazing. I understand the covid circumstances but food shouldn't decline like it did. Goat shoulder has no flavor at all. Chicken was decent.
Appetizer portions were too small for the price. Jerk chicken not very good.
Curry goat was good.
The staff was excellent...especially our server Shanta! The Manager was very personable as well. The kitchen was not running as efficiently due to COVID times, however, Management and our server kept us informed and even made a few concessions for our wait.
Birthday Brunch 🙌🏾🙌🏾
It was great place and beautiful scenery. Food was good.
Food was great. We were a little upset that the menu was reduced so much because of Covid but what we ended up ordering was amazing. The staff was friendly, ambiance is beautiful, food is amazing. The kitchen is really fast also. It was a good time.
Everything was fantastic -- the food, the drinks, and the service! Love the patio setup for safety. Everyone was masked, and every dish came out with a cover. Even the cocktails! Loved the little steps Kith/Kin is taking to be extra cautious in this crazy world.
The whole menu wasn’t even available. I’m highly disappointed
Amazing, just wish the food menu was a little larger. But understandable due to COVID-19. I will truly return.
Get the jerk chicken and "one love" to drink. Warning only desert is sorbet. This is a fairly expensive date spot. The view and overall amibance is worth it.
Had dinner for our 19th anniversary. The alcoholic drinks are definitely very over priced. The drinks were good but not worth $18. The food was food but it would help to have more green vegetable or salad selections.
Great service, amazing food. I would definitely go back.
Everything was AMAZING! The jerk bbq wings were delicious!
Get there quickly as K&K closing in October . Limited COVID dinner menu is delicious
The food was just ok. I would of liked more of a variety to pick from on the menu as other restaurants have during this time. So there is no excuse for only 3 items. Also i prefer white meat over dark meat. And the jerk chicken was dark meat only. Drinks are over $10! Very expensive. I had h20 only because of this. Smh..
Their menu has almost disappeared due to Covid, however, what was left is great and the drinks too. However, outside seating isn't to nice more like lounge seating and not for actual dinner.
Okay so let's talk about Kith/Kin during COVID-19. I already loved this place and was so sad to see it go. But not so fast. There was a resurgence! I made sure to make a reservation mostly because I was curious about how they planned to handle the pandemic. You can choose inside seating but I opted for outdoor seating because it's The Wharf in the summer. It's gorgeous out there and not too many people were outside. These days, you'll order form a menu on your phone that you retrieve via a QR code. It's great because menus can be a rest haven for germs. The menu is pared down but their greatest hits are present, no worries. There's covers on the glasses, the drink straw and napkin come in a ziptop bag, and the staff keeps their distance by passing items on a tray. They set your items down, you pick them up. Everyone is in their own "bubble" so to speak. I'm endlessly impressed with how diligent the staff has been about safety. And the food, as usual, is absolutely phenomenal and worth every dime.
Limited (I imagine due to Coronavirus) but delicious menu! Staff maintained great service, were attentive and friendly despite limitations from current city guidelines. Overall a wonderful experience!
Three of the four of us were vegetarians. We wanted more options, but at the end of the day there were few options for anyone, regardless of dietary choice. Ultimately we all LOVED the food that we got. Although we felt that the side Brussel sprouts far exceeded the slaw as a vegetable to go along with the food.
I ordered the Curry chickpeas and Brussel sprouts and this was the best dish I have eaten at a restaurant in a long time. I will be back for more of this great food. Thanks Kith/Kin job well done!
Although the appetizers (Kith) & main dishes (Kin) provided limited options, the food was fabulous! The wine list was also quite limited, but what they served matched the dishes perfectly. Short walk from the L'enfant Metro station, definitely worth the visit if you are in the Waterfront area.
Friendly staff, beautiful waterfront outdoor seating. The food and drinks are good, but not super creative. You're paying for the beautiful ambiance.
Limited, but delicious, menu! Friendly service/environment.
The most horrible food I’ve ever eaten or in this did not eat.
I understand chef left. So they shouldn’t try to continue the same menu. Either close the restaurant or change menu.
Do not try to serve dog food and call it curry goat. It’s cultural misappropriation.
I assumed this place was a romantic/sophisticated vibe, and maybe it is on a normal night, but on Saturday it was loud because of a few groups dining inside. The service is nice but everyone felt like they only knew half the answer. The menu is tiny. I got the cucumber and avocado salad. That was so so tiny and frankly a joke. The “quinoa” in it was literally 7 dots of quinoa. Wasn’t even worth putting in the description. I’m someone who likes small portions but boy was this limiting.
The people were nice and wanted to make any drink you wanted. My drink tasted great. I don’t want to tear this place down, but it’s just not worth the money unfortunately. Plus they didn’t do anything to acknowledge my birthday which was a real bummer
Had a great time celebrating my friends birthday! Although in was in the midst of a pandemic, we felt safe and comfortable because of their procedures. Food was delicious! I’m eating my leftovers as we speak.
Entire experience, including their strict compliance with Covid regulations, was great. We felt safe and at ease and the food was as delicious as ever.
The food was amazing. I would encourage trying the curried goat which was quite tender and tasty. Service also was quite good and the wait staff was very attentive.
Our experience was impacted by a kitchen issue/fryer problem that while it greatly extended our time to wait for dinner, we were treated very well by staff and informed about the delays. This made the experience much more tolerable than not knowing why food was taking long to arrive. We appreciated the graciousness of the staff and the food was amazing.
New chef and whoever it is is nothing like Chef Onwuachi. I went here for my birthday last year 2019 & everything was so great I came back for the second year. Unfortunately it was not the same at all. I came for the red snapper but there was only two options of entrée jerk or curry and neither have a fish option. My food took over an hour to come out and when i got it it was cold. The food tasted as if they have Chef Onwuachi recipes but can’t execute them the way he does.
Food was OUTSTANDING!!! My sister and I have been meaning to try this for a while and we finally did on Sunday August 10th, mid-afternoon. Fantastic service - everyone, especially Demetri. We dined outdoors, great ambience under the umbrellas and on the waterfront. We had the chickpea curry bowl and Sangria. Fabulous. We appreciated the hostess and all of the wait staff and the COVID-19 precautions. BIG THUMBS UP! We will be back :).
Food was not up to par with what I’m used to from this restaurant. The menu is limited to 3 entrees due to the restaurant’s short staff, but I’ve experienced food from the shortened list and had a great experience in the past. This time though, it was a mess! I ordered curry goat and my guest ordered the jerk chicken meal. The rice and peas in my order was half cooked and not drained prior to being plated, so I had watery rice. Nothing on the plate was smoking upon arrival, basically I was brought room temperature/cold food. The curry goat was not warm at all. The brussel sprouts were warm but so burnt, it blended in with the goat. The curry on the goat was thick and stuck to the meat like it just came out the fridge and no one thought to heat it enough so that it liquified a bit. My guest had jerk chicken, but it was dried out and difficult to cut. They too had watery rice and peas. Lastly, we ordered chick peas, which did not taste like it had Caribbean curry or ingredients of the Caribbean at all. It was like tasteless, soup (tasted closely to masala) and had almonds and nuts sprinkled on the top. Caribbean chick peas as a side should be thick. I should know because I’m caribbean. All in all, this time I visited Kith/Kin, I was given food that clearly did not have time to cook thoroughly and was produced with little love and it showed. I was disappointed, but have high hopes for their future offerings.
Delicious! We tried the jerk chicken and the goat shoulder. Both meals came with more than enough food and were amazing. We will definitely be returning!
Great spot ! Classy and calm with an outdoor viewing the water! Their menu has been realty reduced due to Covid with a contemporary spin on Afro-carribean food.
One of the diners who was sitting at a nearby table was on a video call that was in speakerphone. She was very loud and disrupted the peaceful ambience of my time at the restaurant. I was going to tell our waiter but luckily she was finishing her meal and left as I was about to go so. I think the staff at the restaurant should tell diners not to do this because it's inconsiderate of the money others have spent to have a good time
