The restaurant is beautiful. The menu was very limited. I was really excited to be able to get in but disappointed once I looked at the menu—chickpeas, chicken and goat. The food was good but not what I expected. Our server had too many tables which meant we had to wait for everything. Hopefully after the pandemic things will get back to normal.
We had read wonderful reviews of the restaurant and decided to dine out. The food was very good but the limited menu was a surprise (not on website)! The disappointing part of the evening was the service.... or there lack of it! The restaurant was 70% full and there appeared to sufficient staff but they were not attentive or better defined as “lazy”. We have always allowed room because of the pandemic but this was disappointing.
The food was unbelievable. The service was not great. It took a very long time to get non alcoholic drinks and to place our order. Showed up on time for reservation and still waited in a line with people who did not have reservations for 10+ minutes. I would return based on the quality of food only.
My friends and I dined here for my birthday and it was a nice experience. We were extremely late (due to looking for parking) and the staff was still able to accommodate us. The food was great despite it being a limited menu. Would go back if/when there are more offerings.
Service started off a little slow but got better; I think there was a shift switch and once we got a new server the service was great.
There were only two things on the menu and the previous chef had left with all his recipes.
Pros: *Delicious* food, friendly service, and great covid-19 safety protocols.
Cons: We waited 25 minutes after our reservation time to be seated (outside); menu was extremely limited (jerk chicken or curry).

Food was great - Not sure if It was only one server working because the service was not the best.
I really had high expectations, but was disappointed. Hopefully it was the result of the pandemic. The server was preoccupied with one of the 4 tables she had, causing us delays in ordering our different courses. The menu was extremely limited. With that being said, I expected the food to be amazing. It was amazingly ordinary. It was no more than a strip mall, Styrofoam containered carribean carryout. At this point, the only thing I see going for this place is the ambience. I want to give them another try, but will wait until things normalize.
Food in the past was amazing. I understand the covid circumstances but food shouldn't decline like it did. Goat shoulder has no flavor at all. Chicken was decent.
Appetizer portions were too small for the price. Jerk chicken not very good.
Curry goat was good.
The staff was excellent...especially our server Shanta! The Manager was very personable as well. The kitchen was not running as efficiently due to COVID times, however, Management and our server kept us informed and even made a few concessions for our wait.

Food was great. We were a little upset that the menu was reduced so much because of Covid but what we ended up ordering was amazing. The staff was friendly, ambiance is beautiful, food is amazing. The kitchen is really fast also. It was a good time.
Everything was fantastic -- the food, the drinks, and the service! Love the patio setup for safety. Everyone was masked, and every dish came out with a cover. Even the cocktails! Loved the little steps Kith/Kin is taking to be extra cautious in this crazy world.

Get the jerk chicken and "one love" to drink. Warning only desert is sorbet. This is a fairly expensive date spot. The view and overall amibance is worth it.
Had dinner for our 19th anniversary. The alcoholic drinks are definitely very over priced. The drinks were good but not worth $18. The food was food but it would help to have more green vegetable or salad selections.

The food was just ok. I would of liked more of a variety to pick from on the menu as other restaurants have during this time. So there is no excuse for only 3 items. Also i prefer white meat over dark meat. And the jerk chicken was dark meat only. Drinks are over $10! Very expensive. I had h20 only because of this. Smh..
Their menu has almost disappeared due to Covid, however, what was left is great and the drinks too. However, outside seating isn't to nice more like lounge seating and not for actual dinner.
Okay so let's talk about Kith/Kin during COVID-19. I already loved this place and was so sad to see it go. But not so fast. There was a resurgence! I made sure to make a reservation mostly because I was curious about how they planned to handle the pandemic. You can choose inside seating but I opted for outdoor seating because it's The Wharf in the summer. It's gorgeous out there and not too many people were outside. These days, you'll order form a menu on your phone that you retrieve via a QR code. It's great because menus can be a rest haven for germs. The menu is pared down but their greatest hits are present, no worries. There's covers on the glasses, the drink straw and napkin come in a ziptop bag, and the staff keeps their distance by passing items on a tray. They set your items down, you pick them up. Everyone is in their own "bubble" so to speak. I'm endlessly impressed with how diligent the staff has been about safety. And the food, as usual, is absolutely phenomenal and worth every dime.
Limited (I imagine due to Coronavirus) but delicious menu! Staff maintained great service, were attentive and friendly despite limitations from current city guidelines. Overall a wonderful experience!
Three of the four of us were vegetarians. We wanted more options, but at the end of the day there were few options for anyone, regardless of dietary choice. Ultimately we all LOVED the food that we got. Although we felt that the side Brussel sprouts far exceeded the slaw as a vegetable to go along with the food.
I ordered the Curry chickpeas and Brussel sprouts and this was the best dish I have eaten at a restaurant in a long time. I will be back for more of this great food. Thanks Kith/Kin job well done!
Although the appetizers (Kith) & main dishes (Kin) provided limited options, the food was fabulous! The wine list was also quite limited, but what they served matched the dishes perfectly. Short walk from the L'enfant Metro station, definitely worth the visit if you are in the Waterfront area.
Friendly staff, beautiful waterfront outdoor seating. The food and drinks are good, but not super creative. You're paying for the beautiful ambiance.
