Such a lovely evening celebrating our anniversary. We were looked after from the moment we stepped in. Treated and attended to so generously across the evening. Food was spot on too. Thank you.

Everyone enjoyed their choice of starter and main. To be honest I was a little disappointed with the asparagus and quails egg starter and my partners crab arancini didn’t seem to have much crab or tasted of crab. Everything else including burger, chicken pie, pea spaghetti was great. Service was nice and friendly - a follow up order of a pint of lager took forever and we had to ask several times. Nice setting. Would go again.

A regular diner at The Kite, this was sadly somewhat of a lacklustre experience. My friend was visiting from out of town and it was a 'no-brainier' for me in terms of where to go to eat. Service, whilst very pleasant as always, was on this occasion very slow with team members choosing to chat extensively with regulars, rather than serving. We were left so long with dessert menus we ended up giving up waiting, didn't order and had to go to the bar to settle up our bill. Unfortunately, despite this being one of my go to roasts, it was a bit underwhelming with very dry inedible beef, which wasn't questioned when the plates were cleared. That said, the rest of the dish, along with the flat iron steak were of the usual standard and very tasty. Hopefully, we just chose an off day this time.

If you're looking for the best Sunday lunch in Hitchin, then you need to look no further. The food is amazing, the service superb and a wonderful friendly team. One of our favourite places to go.

Fantastic food , well presented and of high quality. Service impeccable with welcoming friendly staff . Our friends visiting with us for first time said they thought it was the best pub restaurant food they had ever eaten . Our third visit and we will be returning.

Quality food well presented. Small but varied menu excellent service. This was my first visit but it won’t be the last. Small point restaurant was on the chilly side
