Lobster Shrimp & Grits
When we arrived on a Thursday the restaurant wasn’t busy, we ordered our cocktails then our appetizer few minutes later. Our appetizer came before our drinks, which would’ve been okay if the lamb chops were supposed to be medium rare but there were extremely over cooked. Our entrees were the short ribs & the surf and turf. The short ribs were good. On the surf and turf the lobster was raw on some parts then over cooked on others. Over all, for spending over $300 it was not worth it.
Food was salty or bland, service was terrible. Waitress barely paid any attention. Probably because 20% gratuity was tacked on automatically. Could have went to a cliché steakhouse or chain restaurant and had a better experience and saved money. Expensive with no reason to be.
Not good. Asked if we were carrying weapons and were wanded for metal. Dirty plates and silverware which were replaced on request. $13 dollar drinks cost $21. Chicken and waffles arrived with waffles and two fried chicken wings. Fried chicken arrived with a single thigh and a leg from a baby chicken and no sides. Very salty. Leg was smaller than a wing. Mandatory 20% tip. Ladies room was filthy. We will not go back. Dinner for 4 including 3 drinks and no dessert - $306.00
Food was great Service too I’ll definitely be back
Thank you for stopping in to dine with us!
This was my first time at this eatery. We were in town to visit friends & had a blast. The food was superb. The taste, seasoning, flavoring & portion sizes were perfect. The ambiance of the restaurant was nice as well. Music/Dj played music during the evening. The service from our waitress was good as well. They had security on site as well who checked for vaccination cards upon entry which was understood & well communicated that they’d be required when we made the reservation. I have already tried to make reservations for valentines but they’re fully booked. I can’t wait to ho again!
Thanks for coming in! We are glad to see you enjoyed the restaurant. Actually we will be releasing slots for Valentines Day and will even have a set menu with the options of other menu items! Please come dine again we would love to have you.
Definitely will be back.
Thank you for coming in!
This is my 3rd time coming here! Love the food and drink are super amazing! Love the ambiance as well!
Thanks for your constant support!
My daughter treated me out for brunch. I loved everything about the restaurant. The food was good. I had the shrimp and grits, eggs, and bacon. With a side of crab cakes. I could not eat it all. Had enough for couple of days left over. I will definitely go back with my girls.
Thank you for stopping in! Happy you enjoyed our brunch menu!
Thank you for dining with us ! Come again!
The drinks were good and the food was good
The staff was really friendly however The service is really disorganized. Waited 30 min for a table when we had a reservation. Then just to get our check we waited another 20 min.
The food was very mediocre. Overpriced for the venue and ambiance provided. I was patted down and searched for entry, food was not flavorful, and the atmosphere is very much a high school cafeteria. I will not be returning.
Kitchen and Cocktails did not disappoint, from valet parking to being seated.
Drinks were fantastic food was amazing.
Good food and experience but overpriced for what it is.
Food was delicious and our sever Jasmin was excellent and great with her recommendations. Being picky, the light were extremely bright in the dining area (I think that dimming the lights can make it a more relaxing experience) We’ll be back for sure!
It was nice
I have tried several times to dine at the establishment in my home city of Dallas, TX. To my surprise, my cousin told me about their brunch experience. I was at so elated to finally dine in my adopted city of Chicago. What an amazing big place. The food was so on point, I wanted to scream. Food was seasoned so well. I was sad I did have enough room for dessert. I will be back. Kudos to the owner, chef and staff. Chicago needed this restaurant in the city.
The food was good. The service was better than expected. I’m not paying this much money, ever again, to not receive white glove service. The expected ambiance was not to par. Extremely overpriced. Not worth it.
After reading all the reviews and hearing horrid stories about this restaurant I decided to try it myself. I strategically went early to avoid the crowd, possible wait, and slow service. The food, wait staff, and drinks were amazing. The food was piping hot and delicious. We started with appetizers and solo drinks. Somehow we discovered the frozen drink menu mid meal. We had three of the patron margaritas which are served in patron bottles— $37 but well worth it. Honestly, I know we stayed well over the 90 minutes but no one complained. Our bill was hefty but I can honestly say the wait staff, food, and ambience were good as if not better than some of the upscale restaurants downtown. The four is simply because the hostess did not seem happy to be at work — I felt like we were inconveniencing her, which is certainly not the first impression you want walking into a restaurant. Besides that tiny moment, my friends and I enjoyed every moment.
First time dining and everything was amazing service was great ! Will be visiting again
Services was good and so was the Food.
Seated us at a dirty table, and we had to wait 10 minutes for someone to come over and wipe it. Even after waiting for our table to get wiped a server never came over to our table. We ended up leaving.
Scanned by a metal detector upon entering.
Dress code for dinner? No hats?
No hostess, had to go find someone
Server took a while to come to us. Couldn’t describe dish.
Food wasn’t bad, flavor was good but overpriced.
Feels more like a club than a restaurant but the main issue is poor, slow service.
Very nice ambiance and dinner music!
Drinks were delicious! Food quality is average, but still enjoyed the dining experience.
Service was absolutely wonderful especially considering they seemed to be short staffed. But everyone was very accommodating! Love the look of the bar (probably should’ve sat there). The appetizers were great and so were the drinks. I believe the price point for the entrees are not equivalent to the quality or taste of the food. This place has really great potential but should probably revamp their recipes. Things were either too sweet or too salty. Sitting down with a food and brand expert to make everything coincide would be best. Also i think they’re still doing a bit of construction because the bathrooms were half lit and the sinks didn’t work. They did have hand sanitizer on each table and next to the faucet….but that too sent me off and made me wonder about sanitation and food quality.
Great food and great service. It was an over great experience. My mother enjoyed her birthday there.
While the food was good and perfectly seasoned, the ambience felt more like a club scene. The website did not match the actual experience. Expecting more of an upscale dining experience, I was definitely disappointed. This is a place that you would come with a group of friends who are celebrating life rather than an intimate date. In terms of value, we did witness a local grocery store delivering food to the kitchen staff, which one would assume was due to a level of unpreparedness and leaving me questioning whether a bill upwards of $300 for 3 people was truly worth it.
Food wasn’t worth the money my Mac n cheese was $13 I got a bby soon of Mac chicken was old
Waited 1.5 hour for food. Asked waiter for update she said ten more minutes. Decided to leave instead of waiting longer. Waiter offered no remorse or anything didn’t care. Wasn’t apologetic that they wasted my Sunday afternoon with friend I had not seen in years. Never going back. I’ve been to this establishment 10x in last 2 months food is usually exceptional I must admit and service is always bad and this was the final straw
Didn’t wait too long , didn’t like the fact I was waved down with a metal detector. We f we at rushed putting our orders in . Food was amazing , overpriced , waiter was over worked . Got my drink at the end of dinner ! Great food and ambience , service just needs to be better . The experience needs to match the prices .
Food was really good, very nice ambiance. Our server was terrible. He was too talkative to the customers about nothing that had to do with the restaurant, he had to come back to our table to get our appetizer order again stating the system went down even though he wrote it down almost 30 minutes later. We received our appetizers before we got any silverware and we had to ask for it. He never checked on us. He called my husband “bro” so unprofessional. He is definitely someone I don’t want to experience again.
The atmosphere was a cool chill vibe, w/ good music. The music was loud enough to hear but perfect volume to still converse. Our waitress Kiara was awesome. The food was delicious & that blackberry patron margarita was definitely a hit. I’m sure I will be visiting that spot again.
Great Service great good …
Such a cool atmosphere with great drinks and unforgettable food! So good! Highly recommend!
First time here, I think I will come again! Have to bring my girls next time
Great place! Food was excellent!!!
No complaints here. Food was great, drinks were great… Nice ambiance
The staff was great & the food was as well! I look forward to booking again!
Tried the Dallas location in December 2021 and loved it so I was excited to try the Chicago location. We had to go through a metal detector search which was unfortunate. The food was great, but the service was just okay. We were made to wait until every person in our party showed up despite 3 of 4 of us being there and the restaurant being mostly empty the entire time we were there. The music would cut out alot, which was disheartening because there was an amazing dj at the Dallas location. Our waitress was really nice, but at the end of our meal she asked us if we needed change, and then returned to gather our payment slips before we left, which made me feel as though she assumed we weren't going to tip her. That was a weird exchange that made me uncomfortable after a seemingly awkward, but good visit. Overall, the experience was ok. There are some other really amazing black owned restaurants that do brunch that have great food and service not too far away, so I'd probably recommend one of those instead.
The waitress was not good she told us they dropped our food on the floor and they had to remake it which worried me terribly and we had reservations and waited for 30 minutes to be seated. Very pricey food was ok but could be better and lastly we wanted to-go bowls and they ran out of the larger sized ones so they gave me the minis which couldn’t fit all of our food in it
