Kitchen & Bar at Safety Harbor
New owners and seasoned restauranteurs Tom Golden(The Lure, Vintage, The Artisan), Michael Stewart(Ava, 717 South), and Executive Chef Jason Rodis are keeping some of the old menu favorites while introducing an eclectic mix of New American dishes served tapas-style and an amazing weekend brunch. Other exciting things in store include a full liquor bar, a charcuterie bar, and even more charm to this historic bungalow setting: an outdoor pavilion where you can dine under the twinkling oak trees and stars.
Fabulous fresh food and wonderful presentation! We will be coming back
Great food and service. Highly recommend the duck wings!
Great service, friendly staff. Food was average at best and extremely overpriced as was the wine selection. Very disappointed as the staff was great. Would not try again.
I think the food is excellent. The restaurant is always full!
We had a shakey start, the first 3 requests were not available or could not be accommodated. This was frustrating as it was only 7pm and already out of a couple entrees and could not make a modification to another. Once we got past all that it got better.
Food and service were very good.
It got pretty loud as many places do.
I would certainly give it another try and recommend others do to.
We loved the portion size . WE had the small filet and the house side salad and they were both delightful. We went on a Wednesday night when a lot of the wines were half price which was a nice surprise. WE and the other couple we were with are already planning our next visit.
Our first visit to the Kitchen, which is in our neighborhood and received good local reviews. Food was superb. Service was friendly and attentive. Table was small and near other tables thus we did not have a sense of privacy. They will have a full bar by March 2019 but are presently only serving beer and wine. The wind selection was eclectic and not well known brands but our bottle of pinot noir was good and went well with our menu selections. Going back for the food. Hoping for a better table.
Wonderful dining adventure. The food was fantastic and the restaurant is in a cozy old Safety Harbor home (as are a lot of places in SH). Everything is served tapas style, so your meals may not come out together, but they were all served pretty close together. We had the red grouper, game hen and a risotto - all the food was delicious. Desert was a berry cobbler a la mode and the other was the frozen key lime pie - also both quite tasty. Definitely returning as we saw lots of things on the menu to try.
Food was good but service uneven. I got my salad then my wife's came out 3 minutes later. Same for entrees. They need to coordinate kitchen production with service.
Green Springs is the best. Cozy and romantic -The food is fantastic! Don’t miss the Filet or the Saganaki or the gumbo. Chef Jason is great!
Just a great overall dining experience...authentic and well prepared, with very smart presentation. We’ll be back!!!
Was disappointed to find out they were out of their dinner special and desert special on a Saturday night at 7:30 pm
The staggering of dishes should be explained since my entree arrived 5 minutes prior to my husbands.
But the service was great, undercooked grouper (raw) was rectified quickly and with appropriate apologies.
Will definitely return
Great food, excellent presentation. Wonderful small cottage environment. Gumbo is fabulous and authentic (Louisiana). We’ll be back!!!
Great food in a awesome location.
Best food I’ve had in a long time. Very cozy and comfortable, great service!
Food is innovative and fun. They will allow substitutions if you prefer a different side item. Lots to choose from. Great desserts. It is fairly noisy and wine is expensive. Servers are knowledgeable. The only thing I don’t like is the pace of the meal. Things just come out whenever they are ready, and I prefer a more traditional approach with appetizers and salads first and then the entree
Way over priced for the quality of food. Won’t be going back.
Arguably the best Greek food ever. Great location, a welcoming home, and reasonably priced small plates. Worth going to Safety Harbor.
Thank you for another amazing meal.
Great dining experience. Presentation was appealing , food was great and friendly and accommodating service. Can't wait to go back!
The service was excellent. My husband ate the 1/2 Cornish hen. The food was very flavorful, but the portion was very small. I ate the salmon and it was delicious; the portion was ample too. Overall, it was a delicious and reasonable meal.
Wonderful dining experience. Comfortable and unique with wonderful food
Great, friendly service. We went on Wednesday for 1/2 price wine bottles, ordered some delicious tapas ( the petite filet mignon is great) and enjoyed a leisurely meal in this charming cottage setting.
Charming and friendly place with excellent food.
Green Springs is a great romantic restaurant. The food is outstanding. The Filet, and Shrimp and Grits are the best I’ve eaten anywhere. The dessert selection is amazing. The price is right too.
First time at restaurant, cozy, warm, serene, excellent wait staff, fabulous food better than we expected. Will definitely recommend and visit again.
My wife and I really enjoyed everything about this little special place. We can’t wait to go back with family.
What an adorable and cozy place with DELICIOUS food!
Dinner was marvelous!!
The food and service here are top notch. The chef is very creative and the dishes that come out of his kitchen are well balanced and the use of spices works well with all the selections I have tried. There are specials every weekend which shows off the creative performance of the chef. I definitely recommend a visit to experience a very special place in Safety Harbor.
This is a great dining experience. Great food and setting and our waitress was good expect for an order error the on duty manager refused to fix. I ordered the small plate filet and they brought me the large plate. They are exactly the same except for filet size. We commented to ourselves that it looked large but ate it. Only when the bill came did I see it was the large plate. I offered to split the difference but was told “no, you ate it.” This is exceptionally poor customer service recovery on the manager’s part. Or maybe they should differentiate the menu so it is clear when your order is wrong so it does not appear to be a bait and switch situation.
It was great to find a weekend brunch place with gourmet food. I found the menu and service outstanding.
Fantastic as always! Service, food, Sangria all amazing. Love The Kitchrn and Bar at Green Springs.
Had the big brother tomahawk. One of the best steaks I've had in years. Side dishes were pretty good as well. Would highly recommend it!
We celebrated a friends birthday and were not rushed. Enjoyed our dinners and wine, sat next to fireplace.
Had to pay for bread
No music anymore
Wine list was weak
Great place in Safety Harbor...filet was cooked perfectly!!
