Kitchen & Bar at Green Springs
New owners and seasoned restauranteurs Tom Golden(The Lure, Vintage, The Artisan), Michael Stewart(Ava, 717 South), and Executive Chef Jason Rodis are keeping some of the old menu favorites while introducing an eclectic mix of New American dishes served tapas-style and an amazing weekend brunch. Other exciting things in store include a full liquor bar, a charcuterie bar, and even more charm to this historic bungalow setting: an outdoor pavilion where you can dine under the twinkling oak trees and stars.

This is a great dining experience. Great food and setting and our waitress was good expect for an order error the on duty manager refused to fix. I ordered the small plate filet and they brought me the large plate. They are exactly the same except for filet size. We commented to ourselves that it looked large but ate it. Only when the bill came did I see it was the large plate. I offered to split the difference but was told “no, you ate it.” This is exceptionally poor customer service recovery on the manager’s part. Or maybe they should differentiate the menu so it is clear when your order is wrong so it does not appear to be a bait and switch situation.
It was great to find a weekend brunch place with gourmet food. I found the menu and service outstanding.
Fantastic as always! Service, food, Sangria all amazing. Love The Kitchrn and Bar at Green Springs.
Had the big brother tomahawk. One of the best steaks I've had in years. Side dishes were pretty good as well. Would highly recommend it!
We celebrated a friends birthday and were not rushed. Enjoyed our dinners and wine, sat next to fireplace.
Had to pay for bread
No music anymore
Wine list was weak
Great place in Safety Harbor...filet was cooked perfectly!!
It was decent food and service for the price.
This was our first experience here and we loved it! Food was wonderful and the service was friendly and attentive. Can’t wait to try the special brunch menu here sometime soon. Looks delicious! I highly recommend!
Absolutely love this place. We go there at least once a week. Food is excellent. Staff are wonderful. Great Red Sangria!
Great food and service. Nice brunch choices. I hope they do real well
The waitress seemed to be trying to hurry us along although it wasn’t at all busy. We clearly wanted to talk to each other but she wanted to push us along. The chef was not at all accommodating about substituting sliced tomatoes or steamed spinach for a starch for my friend. They finally agreed to steam Spinach for a $2 upcharge. It couldn’t have been more than 3 or 4 leaves. Her steak was reported to be superb
Absolutely the best meal I've had in years....everything was right on the mark.....we will return !!!!
The food was great. The only downfall was the service. My wife’s meal came five minutes before mine. At a restaurant with this price point, I would expect the meals to come out together and not five minutes apart. It was late in service so I really don’t see why this happened. Maybe they just weren’t paying attention. Details, details. I will be back.
Different from the original Greensprings but food is still excellent. Atmosphere in the back room is not as nice as the front and we miss the live music but we had a great time and loved the food.
I loved the coziness of the converted home. The staff was extremely helpful with accommodating my husbands Gluten and Dairy allergies. Both of our meals were excellent, this is a great place for a romantic dinner.
Very good restaurant with interesting food preparation. We will definitely go back.
The menu is short, but very good. Everything we ordered was cooked and seasoned perfectly, plus attractive on the plate. The restaurant gets loud because it's a converted bungalow; there aren't enough soft surfaces to absorb the sounds of larger groups. We really enjoyed our visit.
Green Springs is wonderful. The new menu is great with lots of small plates in addition to full sized meals. I had the filet and it was outstanding for a reasonable price.
Night out with some friends, all good!!
Our experience was a big disappointment. After deciding we wanted to share a date night at a new local spot we choose this location. The server (Racheal) was the brightest part of our dinner - she truly tried to make our night enjoyable. Our bottle of wine was great, too. We ordered the shrimp and grits but unfortunately it came out cold. We are from the south and every southern knows you never serve cold grits. We had hope that the Red Grouper would be amazing but it was an even bigger let down over the shrimp & grits. The Red Grouper was so overseasoned that it could have been mistaken for blackened tilapia. We asked if we could order a basket of bread just to help us finish our wine - some one other than our server brought us a plate wth four little cold piece of sliced bread. The icing on the cake was when the table that was sitting next to us apparently had a guest who thought it was perfectly ok to come to our table, bend down next to my chair and plug her phone into the outlet adjacent to our table and leave it on the floor while we were eating our dinner. The only reason we did not give this location a 1 Star was the because of the service we received from Racheal.
Great food and great service. We visited in early August 2018, and I understand they had just revamped their menu to be more small plates for sharing, from a more traditional menu. The change is worth it! The shrimp & grits is to die for. Everything we had was amazing, including the wine and the service. Definitely going again!
Pro: Some good new additions to the menu and most of my old favorites were still present and of similar quality.
Con: I used to enjoy the colorful paint and decor as well as nightly live music and now the decor is more subdued and there is no longer live music. Definitely a different experience now.
