Great food, fun environment! Will definitely come back.
Love it!! Get the Ahi tuna
Literally used Open Table to find a place for dinner after the Scottsdale Art Festival. Very happy to have stopped here. Excellent dinner and beer selection. Recommended
Great food and service. Definitely going back!
A group of six dined early before Electric Desert at the Botanical Garden.
Had a great experience with good food, friendly service and great music.
Will definitely return.
Great food and ambiance!
the food is always spot on! What a great meal and what a great Value!
I had driven past kitchen 56 so many times and finally we decided to check it out. What a hidden gem! We loved our food and will definitely be back!! Yum!
Edamame is the best! Good food, nice atmosphere, reasonable prices....great neighborhood spot!
The steak was really good and so were the fries that came with it. The service was good overall except at the end. We had a reservation at 7:15PM, I was not sure how busy it could be. It is winter in AZ and we have a lot more people in town this time of year. Lucky for us it was not really busy at all. At 8:30 we were told to leave because they were closing. We were sitting at the bar finishing our bottle of wine and they turned out some lights and shut off the music and in an abrupt manner said, "in case you cant see, we are closing." It is not like we were ordering more food so I was perplexed. I know it was Monday but it was only 8:30....
Everything about the experience was great. The service was personable and the food was great. Will definitely be returning.
Great food and customer service! Would definitely recommend Kitchen 56!
Fun neighborhood spot! Nice for the patio or inside, especially for Happy Hour. I went yesterday to have brunch, cheer on the runners in the R&R Marathon, enjoy the music and neighborhood gathering. Very festive! The staff and servers were into it and fun. Nice food, friendly service, great ambiance!
We were there several times while wintering in Scottsdale. Delicious food and quiet for lunch. We did not dine during evening or weekends when we have been told it is hard to have conversation due to the crowd. The food was absolutely delicious each time!
I had a pizza and my wife had a salad and they both were delicious.
it was a great place. our first visit and Dina was a joy to have as our server
It had been over a year since we visited Kitchen 56, and this was the first time since it had reopened. The food, service, and the ambiance were very good. Actually, the food was excellent, and was fairly priced. We will come back soon!
Great service, good meal
Drinks, apps, food, service, everything was fantastic!
The food didn't seem special. Fun atmosphere but the food seemed pricey and not interesting. Great drinks that were interesting though.
My whole family enjoyed their meals. They also have excellent, creative drinks! Our server was wonderful. Highly recommend.
Tried this place on a fluke and loved it! The atmosphere is inviting and even though the place was full, it wasn’t too loud for conversation. The menu was interesting for meat lovers as well as those of us who don’t eat meat. We all loved our meals. The service was fantastic- friendly, but very professional.
We will definitely go back!
Service was awkward. Food was simply perfection!!
Incredibly friendly staff; great comfort food. I'm already craving the cabernet braised short ribs with the shaved brussel sprout salad! The seared ahi with guacamole salsa and ponzu sauce was also delicious. We'll be back!
Great food & service! It was our first visit. It won’t be our last!!!!
We met friends for an early dinner. What I enjoyed was the atmosphere had great music playing, but you could still converse and hear well. The food was exceptionally tasty, and perfect portions. Very attentive staff!
Mac and cheese had not a molecule of salt. We were seated before three other tables, they got their meals before us... all the fault of the waitress. The tip reflected our hunger...
Staff was kind and helpful. Food was overpriced and was not good. Curiously, I was asked how I wanted my salmon cooked (medium) and yet it was delivered over cooked.
This food was absolutely delicious. We loved it and thought that the ambience was hipster cool,
Loved brunch celebrating our first anniversary. Great food and great atmosphere.
Service was excellent food was very good will definitely be back to try it out other dishes. Another cool thing was while we were praying at the end of our prayer and the waiter said in Jesus name so definitely a Christian friendly place. We sit outside which right now in Phoenix is starting to cool down a lot very good ambience and very quiet for date
We were lucky to find this place while staying overnight in Phoenix. After we walked in I remembered seeing the restaurant on the television show Check Please!. We started with a appetizer of Short Rib Tacos we had four tacos with chipotle aioli, onion marmalade. They were so delicious I could of ate all of them by myself. For our main Entrée my husband had the Coconut and Sesame Crusted Tuna over hickory smoked pineapple, arugula, avocado salsa, and a side of ponzu sauce. The tuna was cooked to perfection. then you can taste sweet, smoky, creamy, citrus and peppery flavors from one bite. Yum!! I had the Atlantic Salmon that included asparagus and pineapple salsa. The Salmon was tender, with a sweet and spicy salsa. Yum! The waitress made the experience even better with her attentiveness and suggestions on our wine which paired perfectly with our food. We made sure with told the manager how wonderful our waitress was that night.
Kitchen 56 is decorated nicely and has a quaint and “cute” feel to it. Unfortunately, the rest of the experience didn’t match up. The food was just okay - nothing special or anything I would recommend. The “Wings 3 Ways” was the best dish we had - but you can get chicken wings down the street at JTs that will blow these away. Plus, they were $12 for 8 wings - kinda pricey for just 8.
We got the Baked Potato ($12 - with pulled pork and other stuff like cheese on top) but there were literally only 2 tablespoons of pork on it. The Tuna Entree ($18) was okay - the ponzu sauce saved it, but I wouldn’t order it again. Kids had burgers that were $11.50 each. Just basic burgers - nothing too spectacular, but whaddaya gonna do? It’s a burger.
Wife looked at the “Savory Grilled Vegetables” and they were $17. For grilled veggies? Hmmm. If they said “local farmers market hand-selection” or something then it might be worth a try, but no thanks.
Total bill with 18% tip (drinks were one cocktail and three sodas) was $100.
We’re always looking for a “neighborhood joint” that we can walk to since we live nearby. We’ve supported the restaurants that have gone in this space since Vatra Grillhouse first opened here in 2010. That didn’t last long, and it’s been Kitchen 56 since, with some different owners and different looks. They’ve made attempts to appeal to Arcadia, but it just hasn’t quite gotten there for some reason.
It’s really too bad, because Arcadia will embrace any local independent restaurant that puts out good food and isn’t too pretentious. Maybe we’ll come back someday and give it another shot, but with so many good restaurants around here, probably not. Sorry K56. We do want to love you, but ya gotta reciprocate.
Wonder menu, staff and drinks fabulous!
Good, solid old-fashioned neighborhood bar and grill.
Great food and service.
First time I’ve eaten there since it reopened. The Cauliflower risotto appetizer was fabulous. The entre also was good as was the service and dessert (crepe brûlée). I would definitely recommend eating here and during nice weather there is a good outdoor area. Food and drink pricing is $$.
This used to be an old favorite before they shut down to shrink and remodel. We went soon after they reopened and service wasn’t great but food was, so wanted give them another chance. Tonight everything was terrific. However, the restaurant was mostly empty and it was a Friday night. I hope they make it - we waited so long for them to reopen!
Kitchen 56 was delightful. Great atmosphere, great service, great food. They accommodated all our wants and needs. Definitely a place to visit! CCCAZ
Been there twice and both times the service was just wonderful. Food was good and will be going back. Was so nice to be able to just sit and talk without yelling to be heard. Also has a nice patio. Everything was great.
