Kitchen 320 at B Historic Ratings and Reviews
It was very tasty, the staff seemed aloof and absent. When our server would appear it was great, but it would take a while to get him. It was always empty in there. I went for breakfast... However, I did go for drinks later and they were some of the best I have ever had. I am curious to try dinner next time I am there.
the menu is creative and the food is very good. The seating is less than optimal with some tables so close it is impossible not to hear the conversation at the table next to yours, especially if you are only two. Next time we will ask for a different table, but there are few options for two seaters.
Don't be put off by the location with a hotel! This was absolutely worth a trip and is way better than a lot of historic and free standing options in Savannah. Having lived her for almost 2 years and gone to literally every "top-rated" restaurant, I can say without a doubt this is in the top 5 in Savannah. Food was delicious and there were actually multiple options for a range of tastes. Biscuits are delicious, kitchen fries are to die for, scallops were perfectly cooked, sweet tea chicken wings were unique and a decent portion, crab grit cakes were delicious and way more fresh crab than most other restaurants. The dessert sundae and ice cream sandwich were each large enough to share. Love that they take reservations, very comfortable seating, easy near by street parking, bright, modern decor, and very attentive staff. Will absolutely return.
This restaurant is located in B Historic Hotel. The service is abominable. The staff is inattentive, unprofessional and lazy. We stood there with a reservations and there was no host to check us in so the front desk manager yelled to the restaurant staff that they had a customer. We are at Corleones instead.
My husband and I had a magnificent dinner on our first visit to Kitchen 320. The Biscuits and jam are to die for. The shrimp and grits and hopping John were delicious! Our server Jeremiah gave excellent service and was very knowledgeable about the menu. The restaurant is beautiful. We will definitely go back.
Food was ok.. took 35 mins after ordering our cocktails to get them and that was only because we asked the bartender. Only one waitress, extremely understaffed and could not handle the volume in the restaurant. She was nice, but just could not handle the workload. We got the skirt steak, absolutely awful.. it sounded like a great dish, but too expensive for the cut up pieces of meat that we got and the chicken dish was just not seasoned and had to ask for salt and pepper. Overall, would not go back due to its lack of service and poor food.
Went here because the reviews were great. I did not understand how. The food was bland and dry. I had the salmon which didn't taste like much. My husband had the flounder and there was no flavor to the breading. We loved that all of the menu was local but I feel like I could have prepared better. Service was GREAT! Food left a lot to be desired!a
We dined here once before for Valentines and absolutely enjoyed it. We went back for my birthday, and only enjoyed the first 20 minutes or so, until a large party of 35 people came in (the space has room for maaaaaybe 40-45 people at tables). These people keep swarming around our table, and took up the time of the only waitress. When I tried to voice my concern to the manager, he simply asked were we from around here (yes), have we eaten here before (yes), and that we need to come back and see them; the whole time his eyes were looking at the large party and his body was turned towards the kitchen. It was a very upsetting birthday, and felt like money wasted.
When we arrived to the resturant the hostess stand was unmanned. We stood there 5 minutes finally the bartender came over and asked if we had reservation which we did. He said ok and left and went back to back to the bar. Next a few minutes later the hotel clerk came over and inquired if we have reservations. I told her yes and she said ok then went back to main check-in. Next another staff member came and ask if we had reservations and I explained, yes he was the third person we spoke to about our reservation. His response was "he was the only one that mattered", which I perceived as very curt. I explained I had been there 12 minutes an no-one actively was seating us. he did not respond but seated us. The food was exceptional. The drinks were delicious. However we felt the service was hodgepodge. 3 servers were trying to handle our table but none communicating well. Drink orders were wrong and waited long periods before the staff checked on reordering drinks. With a superb selection of restaurants to choose from in Savannah, the service here has made us question if we should return to this particular restaurant.
Every bite of the food was amazing, delicious, full of wonderful aroma and flavor! Just small portions that made the check a little more expensive because we had to order more plates between two people. BUT the food was really, really good. I am local Savannah and love to try new places. Maybe invest in some of those yummy yeast rolls and/or southern biscuits to fill people up a bit. The food awesome!
