4 stars is still "very good." The sushi was 5-stars but the Ramen was just ok (did not try the steak). The ambiance "safe"... nothing too exciting nor sexy but nice enough for a top-rated resort. Staff was awesome. With pricing so high, my expectations were also high... just not exceeded.

Had a wonderful evening. They were out of the wine we ordered and sommelier recommended a fantastic substitute. Had ramen and sashimi and a couple of rolls for the table- food was sooo good. We are in town to drop our son off at college- he was given a free dessert to celebrate. Service was great. Will come again

This was our second time at Kita. We went right after it had opened and did not get a chance to come back until now. The food did not disappoint, was as delicious as we remembered. They did condense their sushi menu- we hope they bring in some more because that’s what we love- we did expand and try some entrees, which were tasty! The hot tail roll melted in your mouth and was packed with lots of flavor, a must try! Claudia, our server, remembered us from our first visit. She is extraordinary, memorized the menu and made even things I questioned sound so good, and had great recommendations. It is up there in price, however, worth every penny!

We really enjoyed the octopus and cauliflower appetizers, carrot ginger salad and unique bread. Also orders the eel sushi roll, pretty good not great. The mescal cocktail Smoking something fell short, and the vodka martini was a bit short on the pour, no blue cheese olives. The mescal drink was a bit heavy on the pineapple making it too sweet. Our server Jeremy was very good. Food gets a very good. Cocktails need a better mixologist. We will return as the ambience was great.

We were a little reluctant to book Kita because comments about the prices. I actually did not see it being anymore expensive than any of top restaurants throughout the Park City area. The staff was very good as was the food. We had the octopus app and it was really good and a big portion, enough for a party of 4. The carrot salad was also very good. We split the Sea Bass and it was big enough portion for the two of us. The Hamachi Crudo is a must order. The wine selection by the glass is where I think Kita falls a little short. The price for the quality of wine is a bit on the crazy side. Other than that the place is beautiful and a great addition to the Park City Food scene.

Lovely addition to the Canyons. The food is tasty and interesting. The service friendly and efficient. It is very over priced, which distracts from fully enjoying the experience. If not for the excessive pricing, we would return.

I’m still dreaming about the milk bread rolls they pass out to each table. Wish there were more vegetarian entrees but the starters and sushi we are were good (it was too hot for Ramen, their veggie entree option).

Brought my parents to Kita for dinner and had a wonderful experience. Our server Eddie, was attentive, friendly, and full of great cocktail and food suggestions. I’ve been here a few times and it’s been consistent in fresh options, great service and lovely environment. I will continue to return!

Food was great & our server was awesome as well! We had old fashioned & wine & the toro. We enjoyed the carrot sald, big enough for 2. We then had the wagu sirloin which was perfect & nice portion. truffle mash are a must!!! The seabass was phenominal as well. My only criticizm was the hostess. Our reservation was at 5 (party of 2 "date night"). The place was pretty empty (off season). We were sat at a 2 top and asked to be moved to a booth. There was only 1 other party in this whole restaurant & we were looked at as if we had asked to have the world moved. She begrudgingly moved us, & we enjoyed every moment after.

Kita is a 5-star experience mountainside at Canyons. The sushi is top notch, the ambiance is excellent. The steak is tender and perfectly done. This is a premium experience with a premium price, so be prepared.

Very nice. High end Japanese steakhouse steaks and sushi were unbelievable prices on the high side, my wife, said her halibut was a little bit dry. Prices what you would expect at a high end Resort. Very few bottles of wine were placed under $100.
