There was no service whatsoever. One employee was supposed to handle all five tables plus the takeout business. My wife and I sat for 20 minutes without any contact from a waiter - and there was no service to the other tables as well - before deciding to leave. Aside from that, the room has the ambience of a Penn Station lunch counter.

I think this place must be a front for money laundering. I can’t figure how else stays in business with only six customers last Tuesday evening. First thing was a fishy smell when we walked in. Not what you want for fresh sushi. After waiting for a few minutes, no one came and we went down to the basement. Having found the only waitress working that night we ordered sushi selections. They were bland and forgetable. Over $200 total for food and a couple of cocktails. Avoid this place like the plague.

The restaurant was a complete disaster. Totally understaffed and we sat at a table for 30 minutes! We didn’t even get to order. There were a lot of delivery guys standing around waiting for their orders next to our table. We didn’t even get a drink order in. It was my wife’s birthday and Valentines Day. We left. It was awful. We will never ever come back.

Someone saw a omakase and tried to replicate it but has questionable understanding of the concept.

It’s pretty average at best for sushi and omaske. Wasn’t bad but wasn’t thrilled with the cost and quality.

It was a Sunday evening and the restaurant was almost empty when we arrived so it was very quiet. We were celebrating my wife’s birthday and I notes that twice in my Open Table reservation yet Kissaki didn’t acknowledge it in any way. I was disappointed with the restaurant being nearly empty that they failed to pay attention to that request. That said the omakse is a very good value and we all enjoyed our meal.

I’m glad that I went to this restaurant to try the Omakase with the family. The critics from Yelp are not true. Either the guy was written against this restaurant is from the competitor or he doesn’t know about Omakase. The price of $150 each person is the best bargain in town. You have a generous portion of Kobe Beef, scallop in White truffle sauce, Uni, caviar, 8-9 pieces of very fresh and well prepared Sushi and the dessert is amazing. The only regret is that they are under staff. I would definitely going back there again. Sushi Gari would be much more money you have to pay.

Way overpriced for what you get. Definitely playing up being a high price she she restaurant, but the food does not justify the price. Did the 13 course omakase and was dissapoined with justa bout every plate. If you are in the area, would advise anyone to go a couple blocks over to Gari instead.
