Amazing food at Kips, the waitress was on it and took care of us very well.

After we were seated we were never talked to again. 3 different servers walked by and not one even made eye contact. We were there for a half hour and didn't even get water. Only interaction with the staff was when we were seated and when the host said goodbye as we were walking out

I met a small group of clients for a breakfast meeting. Reservation wasn't needed but honored nonetheless on time. The greeter set us up at a nice semi-secluded table which was conducive to conversation, at least in theory. Our breakfast orders were perfectly executed and everyone seemed very satisfied with their food orders.

The only significant glitch happened toward the end of our meeting when, inexplicably, one of the staff decided it was okay to start putting away silverware -- lots and lots and lots of silverware -- in an area just above our table area. The noise he/she created was really distracting. Left me with a bad taste in my mouth, since we were trying to have an important conversation.

Oh well....

We arrived on a Thursday around 6 PM and were brought to a table without delay. It took nearly 20 minutes before we were greeted by server. Once server arrived, we each ordered a tap beer that took another 20 minutes to arrive. The restaurant and bar was NOT very busy. We had initially intended to order an appetizer, however, since the beer took SO long to arrive, we nixed that idea and ordered our meal instead. The fish and chips arrived hot and was delicious, the corned beef, cabbage, potatoes and broccolini were fine, however there was very small amount of cabbage, a lot of mashed potatoes and a good amount of broccolini. The corned beef was lean , but a bit tough. The Shepherd's Pie was just ok. It's much better at the Cross Roads Deli in Minnetonka. This Pie featured undercooked vegetables that were just diced carrots, onions and peas. The description of the vegetables being 'roasted' was completely inaccurate - not a meal for repeat order.
This was our first visit and we were hoping for a better experience. Would we return? Maybe, to give it another try, but hopefully, Kipps can improve their service.

Oh no.... what happened. I took a few people to my late fathers favorite place, Kips. We sit down and all order the Chicken Pot Pie, low and behold they no longer make it. Very disappointing. Over all the food was good and will go back but I want my Pot Pie! I also couldn't figure out the techno music at an Irish pub.

I was just not that impressed. The hostess was not very friendly. The menu was fine. We tried the pretzel appetizer. It was just ok. I had the fish & chips. The batter they use is not a taste preference. And the size of the fish inside (cod) was a very small portion compared to how large it was with the tasteless batter. Hubby had meat, potatoes & greens. He enjoyed his meal. We had the bread pudding for dessert. It was not a taste preference for either of us. We had a very nice waitress. She went above & beyond for us. The drinks were fine - hubby had Guinness & I had a virgin honey tea. Huge side salads. But I wish the kitchen would not have sent out our salads before we even had our appetizer. It was a bit disorganized. Long walk to the bathroom in the same building as hotel. Near hotel lobby. Very clean establishment & bathrooms. I think they need a giant sign outside by hotel doors advertising restaurant. And be careful not to trip on cobblestone path inside & very dim lights in entry way. Be very careful if you have mobility issues.

This is a "happening place"! Great food, Happy Hour prices are very good, selection of beer good, wait staff very pleasant and helpful. Some tables are less noisier than others - the crowd is having a good time. Menu selection is very good.

The evening service was slow and staff rude. Waiting for 5-10 minutes upon arrival to be greeted. Said the was a 20 minutes wait but there was clearly empty seating at the bar and in the various dining areas. This isn’t the first bad experience at Kipp’s - a prior visit we had bad service and ants on the table. They only survive sucking off the hotel guests. Order food delivery service.

We went to Kip's for Thanksgiving not knowing what to expect, and we were more than surprised at the quality of the food and service. Small dining area was nice because it never got noisy.

The pumpkin pie was excellent!

Overall, a nice place exspecially if you are staying at the Marriott. The Waitress was extremely friendly and accomodating- my Mother did not like her cocktail and it was taken off the bill and the Waitress helped her figure out what she may like!

The Hostess/Greeter and it appeared the Manager were rather rude and dismissive- exspecially the Hostess/Greeter even on the telephone.

I just moved to the area and will more than likely be returning!

No one was at the restaurant when we arrived but within a few moments of being seated a large group (20+) came in and hung around the bar which was literally right next to our table. We were having a hard time hearing our group but when we asked to move we were told they were leaving soon - just hanging out as their ballroom for the wedding wasn't ready. That was true but still we were irritated for about 15 minutes.

Very few dining in the room so not at all busy yet our water glasses were not filled until requested and then the wait was 10 minutes. The waiter forgot a drink order. Food was okay - not great. I read reviews about the fish and chips so I got that... nothing special. Order of Reuben was tough and chewy. Crab roll was greasy. We didn't send anything back because waiter didn't check on us until the end of the meal... not even around to flag him down.

We had hoped to find a real Irish pub feel - it was just a regular bar feel... again... nothing note worthy or special.

Went for the fish and chips, as a post St. Pat's day night. The Tim Malloys played that night. Many people still dressed in their St. Pat's colors.
There was great food and Irish music. No cover and special prices on Black and Tans and Two Gingers.
So a great night, authentic food and drinks tailored for an Irish flavored affair.

I wasn't impressed. We went for family dinner. Although our waitress was nice, she was too busy with a big party in the party room which left us waiting for awhile for us to order and to pay our bill. Only saw one other waiter and the restaurant was pretty steady. I don't plan on returning again.

This place is amazing! I have been there for lunch and they had lunch under $10 specials which all sounded great. I tried the avocado blt which tasted the best I have ever had because of its richness with avocado and the fresh ingredients.
Even if we were there for lunch, the cocktails on the bar menu looked refreshing and ended up ordering bees knees, deliciousness! The bartender informed us that they make their own syrups and use all fresh juice.
They have early happy starts at 3p and offers great value.
