Amazing food and well worth the money! We had the Kintan course for 4 and the food just seemed never ending! Cooking the food on the grill meant that there was plenty of time to chat and catch up as we went along!

Restaurant was busy but they accommodated us before our slot. Underground area was nice but the reception are (ground floor) needs some cleaning/tiding up. Food was good and we got a free bottle sparkling water as they waitress forgot to bring it . In summary, the place was ok but we found it too expensive for what it is (food and premises wise)

Kintan is one of my girlfriend and my favorite places to have a Sunday lunch. The Happy Hour is amazing and the food is delicious. The staff are always wonderful and inviting. The food comes fast and the service is great. I highly recommend it when you're in central London and need a nice place to eat (come hungry) and very family-friendly.

Food is good. However, staffs are not very attentive. I had to raise my hand to get attention. We went for buffet but it was not worth money because we could not order as much as we wanted. It was a bit annoying that we had to wait for someone to take orders.

Nevertheless, Thanks to a women ( skinny blonde hair) who came and asked later if we wanted to order more but was not in the mood to grill more meat after a long wait !

On Sunday at luch time, my friend and I went to enjoy our meal. The environment in Oxford branch isn't as good as in Holborn branch, including the toilet.
The staff who served me and my friend forgot to pass sparkling water until after half an hour I asked. The water which was in a glass bottle was mineral water, not the sparkling water which I ordered. The staff explained that it's not tap water but sparkling water (it tasted like normal tap water or mineral water). However, in Holborn branch, I had my sparkling water which is a bottle of San Pellegrino. I went to the Holborn branch twice. So I was very confused when I got my sparkling water in the Oxford branch.
The food in the Oxford branch was alright but the salade didn't taste fresh. To be honest, I prefer the quality of food in the Holborn branch comparing to the Oxford branch. But it's probably not fair to draw a comparison between the Oxford branch and the Holborn branch as I went to the both places in different time.
Generally, the price on the weekend is slightly costy. I recommend going during the weekday at luch time or happy hour. Although the food and the environment in the Oxford wasn't my favourite, but I will still have food in Kintan and recommend friends to go. My preference would be the Holborn branch as my favourite one.

First time visiting, enjoyed very much and really enjoyed the experience and would recommend to others.
Only critic would be to put chicken garlic on the meat lovers set menu. Didn't like the 2 hours only time limit, I guess due to Covid situation (especially as you have to cook the food yourself) which I loved by the way.
Definitely will return and try another set menu. Thumbs up.

The food is good but the cleanness of the restaurant is not okay, especially the stairs were dirty. The staff was friendly but the they were too busy to put cutlery on the table.

A very unassuming place from the top floor, but as you go downstairs it becomes an incredibly electric place full of energy. The premise of cooking the food on your table is so different to so many other places and is always fun to come back to. The food also tasted delicious, the rice especially was a favourite.

The staff were really lovely and friendly and attended to us so well.
The marinated beef, Kakiage and Takoyaki were all delicious. The miso soup is a generous size and the Draft Asahi beer was amazing as always.
They’re taking good safety measures with Covid and they measure temperature at the entrance.

Excellent food. love the spicy pork, duck breast and the fried chicken the most. The screen protector newly installed for Covid helps to cut the noise, too.

We enjoyed most of the food but the bistro hanger steak was a bit too chewy (go for the short ribs instead!).

We did feel let down by the experience though. We arrived at 12:40 and was assigned a table on the side of the room. We asked if we could sit on one of the empty booths but was told this was not possible as they were for parties of 3 or more.

However, just 20 minutes or so later, we saw a party of 2 sit on one of the empty booths! Not very impressed at all...

See the empty booth in our photo!

The food was nice and the cleanliness was good regarding the Covid-19 protocols.
However, their drinks were really bad and they charged for things which they were not supposed to.
The Coke was served into a cup and didn't taste like a proper Coke (charged £3). And what was actually written as Still Water, was served in a refillable bottle. Once asked whether this is still water or tap water, they said: "we use filter", and so they charged us for it.
There were no sauces available at the table, so we asked for some ketchup and mayo for our fries. They said they don't have ketchup and then charged us £1 for a tiny bit of mayo served in the smallest sauce cup.

A wonderful experience with the most delicious meat. The Russian waitress was supreme, very kind and attentive. The quality of the meat was behind expectations.
We’ve spent just over 60£ for a lunch, maybe a bit pricey but the quality was just there.
