We were very impressed and are so happy it is in our neighborhood. We ordered a variety of things to try and were not disappointed in the least bit! Excellent quality ingredients, preparation and presentation. We will return again and again...just thinking about the Crispy Tuna Rice makes me salivate!
The restaurant did not seem to have record of any reservation made through this app, and we ended up waiting at least a half an hour just to be seated outside in the cold. We then waited another 20 minutes to actually have someone come outside and provide service. Once our order was submitted everything came out quite quickly and the food was phenomenal as always. I hope they are able to fix this issue with making reservations. Other than the inconvenience of having to wait long after our reservation and sitting outside the food was excellent.
Very limited options for sushi aficionados. What we had as delicious, but outrageously expensive for nigiri. (Listed prices are per piece, so it is at least $8 for 2:pieces of standard fish selections.) The restaurant is very cramped and loud. Out server didn’t bring everything we ordered, and so we had to,wait for one of ur appetizers until after our main dinner. Can’t comment on rolls, since they seemed to be very Americanized and didn’t appeal to us. Overall, after reading great reviews, we ere disappointed. Very fresh fish, but nothing special.
Went for restaurant week. Ate outside. Delicious !
Excellent sushi rolls, with a larger variety of combinations than in other places and some not found anywhere else. Has gluten-free options. Dessert is very good. It's BYOB so the overall price of the meal is moderate. Enough space to feel comfortable at one's table. Great service.
Food was delicious but they got our orders mixed up and food was very delayed. Other people were served before us. Staff were very nice and apologetic but given the delays and mix up, i feel.something should have been comped.
Awesome deal for $35 for restaurant week.
Our service was painfully slow. The waitress was nowhere to be found and it was not busy. There for 2 hours to get some dumplings and a few rolls. She could not answer any of our questions about the menu and had to keep running to the kitchen to ask. At the end our waitress miscounted the cash for our check and said we underpaid. We had to get out a calculator and do the math for her and count the money in front of her. It was ridiculous. That being said the sushi was delicious but the service was so awful I don’t think I’d ever go back.
The service was great, and the food was even better! I would highly recommend.
The food here is excellent! Great service as well! If you are a theatre goer you should eat here before your show. Their different sushi rolls are named for popular theatre productions (including Phantom, School of Rock, and Hamilton just to name a couple)!
Excellent dining experience! Service was impeccable. The worst part was choosing which of the amazing menu options to order! Everything tasted amazing. Ambiance was very intimate and good for a quiet but modern Friday night outing with friends. Be sure you bring a bottle of
Your favorite wine!
I had the most lovely dinner at Kinme this past Wednesday! Brian and Nancy were SUPER attentive and entertaining, and the food was incredible!! Thank you so much!
The food is so fresh every time!!
The edamame comes out super hot!
The Annie roll is my fave!!
Will keep coming back!
This place never disappoints!
I love this place so much! I have severe allergies and they were more than accommodating with me. The food is so delicious & fresh. Wide range of menu. Definitely recommend Kinme.
Came here for dinner during my visit to Philadelphia, great service and waiters. The food was equally enjoying, will definitely dine there again.
Great Sushi with unique and creative rolls as well as some of the best service in town.
Fun, professional wait-staff. Delicious food with subtle fusion-adds. Great value.
Amazing place!!! Will def be back
We had an awesome time here! Good atmosphere, great service, amazing food. Would recommend and will certainly be going back.
Let me start off saying I am not a sushi fan. I’ve tried it several times with a variety of kinds and disliked all of it. But I want to like it, so I decided to give it another try.
The assortments my husband, son and I ordered came out on a beautiful tray and were decoratively arranged. I started with the shrimp tempura roll and it was delicious....I branched out to the eel, scallop and not sure what else rolls and I liked the majority of them. So am I a fan....I am definitely on my way and I’m looking forward to another try at this quaint spot right around the corner.
New and interesting rolls, nice space, and great service.
It was a fantastic experience. Food was delicious and the service was amazing! Highly recommend!!
Excellent food and service, quantity small.
Delicious, quiet and great service
Place was great. Sashimi was fresh. Not the most amazing but very good. Very good service. It was calm and quiet.
Interesting and delicious food! We were well taken care of by the staff and the value is spectacular. Adding Kinme to our regular rotation.
Always fresh ingredients, good service and consistent. BYOB
This is my new favorite sushi restaurant. The reason is the prepared and cooked options. My favorites include the crispy Brussel sprouts (with a terrific soy based sauce), the shishito peppers (best in Philadelphia and again because they are accompanied by a great sauce), spicy tuna on crispy rice (why haven't I found this anywhere else?), creamy rock shrimp (a tiny bit spicy, but again -best in Philadelphia) and the best and most creative desert - chocolate won tons. Their sauces make Kinme stand out, but the desert forces me back each week because my wife loves chocolate. The wontons are small, bite sized and are filled with a high quality dark chocolate. It's always a spectacular end to a great meal. I do have a few pieces of nigiri sushi at each meal and it is always very good. But I can usually find that anywhere. I will note they serve the high quality ginger found in better establishments (pure ivory in color). But the truly unique dishes are from the kitchen.
As an aside, I have had the Pho and enjoyed it, but my go-to every-week dishes are listed above.
Sushi was aweful! We ordered Brussel Sprouts, Pork Buns, Summer Rolls, Mushroom Gyoza, to start. For sushi we started with Yellowtail & scallion
Love this place!
Best shrimp tempura roll ever! Loved all of the unique rolls and super fresh fish!
Great food with great presentation! We had show tickets and they were great serving us quickly and he was awesome !
Our second visit was just as delightful as our first last month. The food is fresh and creative! This time we tried the crispy duck tacos and the salmon sundae, both very flavorful. As at our previous visit to Kinme, we had to order the Annie roll and the School of Rock roll, they were so memorable. Unusual and unexpected combinations, perfect bites that satisfy. Can't wait to return!
Kinme was a great find! Deciding to celebrate Lisa’s birthday was fun and the variety of sushi options wonderful! Looking forward to our next visit!
Excellent sushi and great service. A neighborhood gem!!
The rolls are creative and unique, with unexpected ingredients that really worked well together! The ingredients were all very fresh and flavorful. Can't wait to go back!
Cozy, romantic spot with friendly staff and crazy good & fresh food.
