Everyone at the restaurant was gracious and eager to help, and even made sure to advise us to look around as we were getting ready to leave. They knew we had to depart in time to catch a show, and diners had been known to leave cell phones, credit cards, etc., behind, since the lighting is muted. With the warning, we left in tact. The menu was diverse and very creative. Everything we tried was excellent all the way up to “Must order pr this again!” Fresh ingredients, creative presentations (try the Mary Poppins roll}, tasty fish, and a surprising range of textures—I’d go back in a minute, and if I lived in the city I’d be booking a reservation frequently. I recommend it to anyone who loves sushi, but do try other items on the menu as well!
Great sushi and reasonable prices. Definitely will be going back again.
The food really wasn’t that great. I was so surprised because the reviews were amazing. The staff was fabulous though. Just wish the food matched their greatness.
We had a very enjoyable dinner at Kinme. They had a wide and creative variety of sushi and rolls. Each one that we had was better than the rest. The fish was very good quality and fresh. I look forward to visiting again and trying other varieties of sushi.
Wonderful experience. Amazing sushi (and I am a sushi snob), and the service was outstanding!
We had a reservation for another sushi byob but they were very busy and the place was loud. So we quickly decided to go to Kinme instead. Glad we did. The place was almost full, but the noise level was more bearable. Food was great. Good white miso soup. Sushi were good. Mochis were delicious. One of our servers, Brian, was hilarious. He was making so many tables laugh with his jokes. Overall, good time there.
Amazing food, reasonable prices, attentive service. All around a true diamond in the rough.
Great Omakase that doesn’t break the bank. Fantastic roll selection as well.
The quality of the food and service was outstanding. Although the start was a bit slow with meeting our waiter and finally taking our order (~15 min from seating), they were attentive and responsive. We let them know we had to leave by a certain time and they communicated with and reassured us throughout. Only complaint was that the restaurant was sooo cold, I had to wear my winter coat inside. It's also BYOB, which is a plus!
Service was impeccable! They noticed we brought sake and immediately without even being asked took the wine glasses and brought us a bottle cooler and sale glasses. Food was so good we ordered another after first 3. Gotta try to chocolate wonton!
Excellent food and service. Arrived late due to traffic and the host was very polite and allowed to keep our reservation.
Terrific food, great service, and a nice setting.
Great Valentine’s Day specials
Great service and wonderfully fresh omakase. We look forward to coming back!
A restaurant small in size but grand in experience. Our server was very attentive and informative, but still had a good sense of pacing so we never felt overwhelmed or bombarded. Food was absolutely divine.
Brian is an excellent waiter and the food is delicious
Best Sushi I've had in a long time. Very premium. Portions aren't huge, so order a lot. We sat next to a very loud group and was a bit disappointed that issue was not managed better. I plan to return and hope the loud group does not. ALSO THIS IS A BYOB!
I went to Kinme with two friends from college and was extremely impressed. Brian came to our table several times with food advice and some great jokes! Highly recommend!
My new favorite lunch spot in Philadelphia. Great food, great service, good value for the price.
Food was spectacular
I loved the food and the intimate environment! Very good just very crowded and felt like we were being forced to leave our table.
the service was top notch! food was very good and the sushi was really fresh! deducting half a star just because the yuzu salmon was over done in my opinion. the skin was perfectly crispy, i just wish the middle was a little more medium. i still devoured the whole thing, the bok choy and sauce combo was perfection.
We were at Kinme for restaurant week. It was great and everything seemed up to non-restaurant week level execution, no corners were cut. I would recommend and I look forward to trying the full menu sometime.
Excellent food—from appetizer to dessert. Lovely little find. Small and a tad noisy but wait staff very attentive and mindful of our overall experience. We’ll be back!
Went to Kinme for restaurant week for a friend’s birthday and so happy we did! The food was delicious and great value/portions for a restaurant week menu.
I always crave the sushi at Kinme. It is always fresh and delicious. The onigiri and the eel rolls are my
favorite. It is a very relaxed atomosphere. The service is great. I rarely try anything other than
sushi. My husband ordered the Tonkatsu ramen and it was superb. I could eat there every day.
Great sushi. It would be perfect if they served alcohol.
Annie roll is my fave!!
Kinme is a relatively tiny but sleekly decorated space. The service was friendly and gracious. The crudo and nigiri were top rate, delicious and beautifully executed by a clearly skilled chef. Some may consider it expensive, but considering location, quality of ingredients and the expert skills of the chef, I feel that pricing is fair. Quality is very high. I am happy to have discovered this restaurant. As one guest said afterwards, “I think we have a new spot.”
Wow! Exceeded expectations. We were hear for pretheater dinner. Food was exceptional and service was very good as well. School of Rock roll was amazing! Highly recommend it. Would definitely return.
Very nice place. The food during restaurant week was excellent. The place is also quiet so you can actually hear your dining partners. Nice ambiance. They have tables outside during the summer. We'll be back.
This was a last minute choice based on location and availability. The ambiance was great. Quiet and we didn’t have to strain to talk. Food was amazing and the service was attentive and very friendly without being overly intrusive. Definitely recommend this place.
Brian was the best server! Had a great experience.
Kinme was wonderful. Great, attentive staff and the food quality is very, very good. The Shui Mai was outstanding and they offer a lot of sushi options that are not on most menus at other spots around the city. I plan on making it my new go-to for sushi.
If i could give the Service a 10 star in OpenTable i would.. the food was fresh and fantastic. I will definitely be going again.
Best sushi in Phila
The restaurant is cozy and quiet. The signature rolls were delicious and interesting.
one of the best Japanese meals I've had in a while
great food, amazing staff, fun friendly vibes
reminder it's BYOB which makes it fun as well!
Very good and Consistent food and service
Best sushi I have had in a very long time. Each roll had it’s own taste. Service was very good. Everyone seems to be having a good time. It’s a BYOB which is great
