The cocktails were disappointing. I ordered some whiskey and blackberry cocktail (not seeing it online) and my mom got the mirage a trois. I would recommend wine, sake or having the bar make your favorite cocktail instead! The sushi was good but I wasn't blown away. My favorite dishes were the lobster tempura and the soft-shell crab rolls. It was my mom's birthday and our waitress asked if she liked matcha and brought out the matcha cheesecake with a candle, which was good but it was added to our bill which felt a little shady. Don't ask guest their preference for a celebratory dessert only to charge them for it! Cute restaurant overall, great for date night but go later. We went at 530 (which is early) and it was just us until like 630, it started to pick up. The parking situation is confusing! There is a QR code in the elevator that I would've missed if my mom didn't catch it and she was trying to pay from her phone the entire dinner. Luckily, we didn't get a ticket.

Staff is amazing, food is excellent. Can feel small/cramped, but the experience is more than worth it. When you step into the restaurant, you feel like you've left the world behind. Highly recommended.

We had super service from Ray (the Barman), who gave us suggestions on items from the menu and all were excellent. Food was very tasty and fresh, and servings are like "tapas" style. Therefore you need to make numerous orders and they are no inexpensive. Although we had made a reservation, and we arrived on time, we were seated at the Bar. Ray was wonderful, so we enjoyed our interaction with him, but it was unusual (to say the least) as to how the staff manage tables.

The place is beautiful! They have a wide variety of actual Japanese whiskey’s which was fantastic. The food was AMAZING, the service was outstanding. Rae is by far the best bartender in Atlanta plus he’s hilarious!

went here for a date/catch up night with friends and was not disappointed.the food was so fresh, the service was great and their menu had so much to choose from. as a heads up, you will need reservations and they open at 5. We got at 5:07 and our reservations were for 5:30 and we got seated early. Will definitely go back!

Wagyu A5 nigiri was chewy not what I was expecting , it actually took a while to chew and was tough definetely not A5 wagyu . Uni was not the orange color you would expect it was dark in color and not sweet , Lobster roll was all rice with bread crumbs and some sauce . I didn’t see any lobster on it . The miso cod was decent and it was flavorful . Overall the ambience was good but the food was at most average not worth the price . I was expecting more for spending 350 for two people . By the way restroom had no toilet paper . With the amount of staff inside and the 1 person restroom this shouldn’t not be an oversight to keep your bathroom stocked .

GREAT COCKTAILS and amazing food. You HAVE to try the grilled Japanese black cod. The desserts are also really delicious. This is a great date night/special occasions spot. We love it. Been here 3 times and will definitely come back.

we told the waitress more than once that we were celebrating a birthday and she failed to bring out a special desert instead just brought us the check. they need to come up with a better speaker system. the giant bose speaker is mounted right next to my ear blasting music for the whole restaurant. i couldn’t talk or hear my friends who were right next to me. also, pay for spotify premium? i’m not sure why i’m hearing commercials when i’m paying $23 a drink. food is good, not the best in the city but it’s good.

To reserve at this restaurant, there is a $25 per person fee to hold the reservation- which we paid. So it was odd when people from the restaurant kept calling day of to find out if we planned to cancel, and told us to call back immediately. When we got there, they were out of menus. Service was slow, and many basic items on the menu were out. The sushi was good, but it seems a little unorganized. Hopefully it will get better the longer it is open.

We went for date night and it was amazing. One of the best sushi spots in Atlanta hands down!!!! Definitely coming back again for date and I’m going to bring my girls. Definitely worth every dime!!!

We had a great girls date at Kinjo. It was a little confusing to get to and way packed but definitely worth a visit. Just plan well because parking and locating (navigating to in heels) was interesting. The food was good, the place wasn’t large and they were busy. Felt like we didn’t see our server often enough maybe and although it didn’t make the experience bad, if we weren’t having fun as girls, and this was a date or other interaction, the inattention may have been problematic. Overall, I would go again. The drinks were good, a bit pricey but tasty for sure. The apps were good. I ordered the SeaBass as a main and although I can eat with chopsticks, this dish didn’t feel like it was best served by being eaten this way - I felt like I was hacking into it and ruining it. It was good too so this room away from it. Yellowtail rolls were fantastic!
