Established in 2020, King’s Fish House is San Jose’s choice for seafood. Located at the Westfield Valley Fair, King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily.

We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.

Apparently I looked under 30 today. I have been to Kings Fish House multiple times and usually love everything about the place, love the service love the food love the atmosphere. I have NEVER been carded there. Not once. Apparently today I must have looked young-mind you, I AM 41 years old. The server I first had was training someone so I guess I understand him saying he needed to card me. I did not have my physical ID but I had a photo of my physical card as well as the DMV wallet app. Which he never wanted to see. My date and I then asked to be moved to a different table honestly because it was cold. He then ordered 2 glasses of wine. The server NEVER carded him. They brought him 1 glass, and then never came back with the second. I understand policies , I truly do. I also understand that I should have had my physical ID on me, but I have been here MANY times and this has never been an issue. The issue for me is that they deliberately denied my date another glass of wine after telling him that he could have it. When asked the waitstaff said, “I was told to not serve it in another glass.” THEN JUST TELL US THAT THEN. BE TRANSPARENT ABOUT YOUR POLICY.dont have us thinking we will get another glass if we were not. We then would not have ordered food there. We would have left. I then asked to speak to the Manager. She then let me show her my DMV wallet app. She then states “I don’t know if we can accept that as a form of ID, I’ll have to call my general manager. She never came out again. Can someone please have the general manager of this establishment reach out to me, I am extremely dissatisfied with the service I received this evening. We were good patrons, paid our bill and left. But I’m not done.

I went with my kids who are young teens and they really enjoy it there. The price is a little high but generally the food meets our expectations. My kids love the crab cakes and calamari. I generally enjoy the grilled octopus and the salmon salad.

Lots of options and always cooked the best. Our server was really nice and kind to us. This is our favorite place.

I had an amazing dining experience. Service was great. The one complaint I have was that every single oyster I had was shucked incorrectly and full of sand. Along with broken pieces of shell. For $7.00 ea I expected better. Would have been a five star review if that hadn’t been the case. Overall I would definitely come back!

Everything was delicious. Dennis was our server and he made the evening very special, bringing out a birthday dessert and not rushing us at all. Nicest guy!
