Established in 2020, King’s Fish House is San Jose’s choice for seafood. Located at the Westfield Valley Fair, King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily.

We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.

I had an amazing dining experience. Service was great. The one complaint I have was that every single oyster I had was shucked incorrectly and full of sand. Along with broken pieces of shell. For $7.00 ea I expected better. Would have been a five star review if that hadn’t been the case. Overall I would definitely come back!

Everything was delicious. Dennis was our server and he made the evening very special, bringing out a birthday dessert and not rushing us at all. Nicest guy!

Considering the area and cost of the meal you can get much better in the same area. For myself and two teenagers we spent $180 before tip. For what is displayed as a fresh seafood restaurant, the food was disappointing. I ordered grilled Chilean sea bass. It had a nice crust but was nothing special and that is my favorite fish. The mashed potatoes did not taste like real potatoes. Two restaurants down you can get delicious regular or lobster mashed potatoes at Mastros. The bbq shrimp was more like shrimp in tomato soup with a sprinkle of spice. It was okay but the name and description are misleading. Basic seafood at a restaurant that specializes in seafood is disappointing. The setting was comfortable and relaxing. Overall, it was just a mediocre experience when there are other options that provide better meals and higher rate service in the same area.

Oysters, shrimp, scallops, brussels sprouts, and sautéed spinach were beyond reproach, as always. Once again, I challenged the bartenders (Jasmine snd Eddie today) to stun me with something new, and they did not disappoint. This is a great place for Sunday lunch, Saturday dinner, or a weekday vacation. I am a regular!

I had a wonderful time celebrating my girlfriend’s significant birthday with her two nieces with delicious food, great service and a surprise bread pudding a la mode at dessert.
