Established in 2020, King’s Fish House is San Jose’s choice for seafood. Located at the Westfield Valley Fair, King’s Fish House features a large selection of fresh oysters, seasonal catches, sushi and live shellfish, including lobster and crab, on a menu that changes daily.

We’ve been in restaurants a little while – three generations, to be precise. A long time ago, we embarked on a road trip in search of the ultimate seafood experience. We traveled down highways and byways, pulled up a seat, put on bibs and soaked up the seafood experience: the no-name dishes with unforgettable flavor, the fresh-caught oysters and clams piled high, the hand-lettered specials on ancient chalkboards and the savory simmer of every combination of spices imaginable.

It took 20 minutes to get water. Longer to get a glass of wine. I love everything about King’s besides the timeliness of getting drinks!

After being seated, took 10 mins before getting helped by our waiter, and this was only after complaining. After ordering, we were told they were out of baked potatoes at 6:30pm! Replaced baked potato with garlic sautéed spinach, but came out as blanched spinach. Had to flag down waiter for water refills. Found pieces of shells in our child’s pasta dish. Luckily the old fashions were back to quality, but included up charge for specific bourbon. All in all, this used to be our go to spot on At least a monthly basis. Unlikely to come back here esp with more restaurants opening up with better quality at similar price points

The food took an hour to 20 minutes to arrive to our table. They brought to the table, the salad and the main dish at the same time.

We have been to this location several other times. Parking is absolutely atrocious. You're not even able to do a curbside, drop off for handicap. This time was more challenging than usual. The table was not ready when we arrived and took about 20 minutes to be seated. Even though there were many empty tables. I was surprised to see the crab and lobster tanks basically empty. The kind wait staff was not very attentive when placing an order or even getting the check at the end. Napkins and flatware were still not at the table when appetizers arrived. And when they did come, it was a pile of flatware, placed on the table and some paper cocktail napkins. Stating, sorry that is all we have. Even though the adjacent 10+ empty tables had rolled up fabric napkins with flatware on them. These tables remained empty by the time we left. There were a lot fewer patrons when we left, and it was still very difficult to get the check to leave. This was not a great experience for a celebratory meal.

Had dinner with family and met in SJ location. Very busy on holiday weekend but made reservations and was seated on time. Cocktails and beer were good. Had edamame and calamari for appetizers and both were delicious. Filet, grilled sea bass, pasta, and bream were all excellent. The service was good and food came out timely. Parking is a pain at Valley Fair but everything else was excellent.

It was my first time dining at this restaurant. It is conveniently located at the Westfield Valley Fair Mall. It is a nice seafood restaurant. The dishes were good but nothing outstanding. We had the oyster platter, which offered a nice selection of different types of fresh oysters. Our waitress was very attentive and courteous. We were seated at the partially outdoor area, which was nice. It got a little cold later in the evening that they turned on the heater which added a nice ambience.

The seafood was exceptional! The yellowtail ranked first and the Chilean SeaBass was a very close second. Regrettably, my typical favorite, Linguine with Clams, ranked last.
