Kings Dining & Entertainment - Raleigh North Hills
Elijah was outstanding! He was very attentive to our party and didn’t miss a beat to serve us and make us feel welcome. He was patient, kind, very knowledgeable and professional. You guys need more Elijah’s!
I had a grill cheese sandwich and it was really good. I was disappointed in the prices of the drink. They didn’t have Henny but courviseur. It was $20 a shot.
The place was great and alot of fun, food size was extremely small for the money, other than that it was a good value.
Great service and availability to amenities. We will be back for the bowling next time.
Had a reservation for Mother’s Day for a large group. The staff at King’s was amazing. From the minute we walked in the door they were cheerful and on top of things. The service in the dining area was great. The food was well prepared. We moved over to the bowling area after lunch. The lanes were set up with our shoes and ready to go. The wait staff in that area was attentive as well. Overall, it was a great experience and we had a wonderful afternoon there.
It was pretty fun. Music was good. Drinks weren’t bad. The couches on lane 14 area are so huge you don’t have much room to actually bowl. If it’s your first time there’s no clear signs saying where to pick up the billiard balls, but you’ll figure it out. And there is a token machine, it’s just hidden on the back of the bar. All in all my group still had a good time. Worth to try it at least once!
The food was delicious and the service was exceptional!
We made a reservation weeks in advance only to show the day of and hear they did not have a reservation. Although, I received a confirmation email after the reservation was made and another email the day of the reservation reminding us. We waited approximately 20 minutes going back and forth regarding the reservation. After we were finally seated, the waitress was great. However, I was not impressed with my food. The wings were burnt on the outside and red (under cooked) on the inside.
Went for night of dinner and bowling with big group for a birthday night and the food was ok for a bowling alley. Definitely skip the overpriced ice cream sundaes I have never had a worse sundae in my life and how can you screw up ice cream and toppings. While I expected the bowling alley to be lively with music we ended up leaving after dinner and skipping out on bowing because music was so loud we could hardly hear each other talk. I didn’t expect to find a night club at a bowling alley and music was just way too loud to enjoy the night.
Server was hard to find as she spent most of her night chit chatting with table of friends.
Definitely won’t be coming back to this place.
Celebrating a birthday with my wife and kids at Kings Dine and Bowl. Food was good- better than standard bar fare. Drinks were expensive but good. Bowling was a lot of fun. Music very loud- club level- conversation was difficult- had to shout to hear each other.
They had issues with the bowling scoring. Otherwise a good experience.
I would recommend for bowling only not dinner. Dinner experience was not good at all.
I would recommend for the fun of it. I made reservations for bowling and dinning but I didn't get the bowling part so I had to wait 1 and a half hours to bowl and then the lady said she was giving us a complimentary bowl and she didn't. We made the best out of it any ways
Even after booking "dine and bowl" option online, confirming on open table my reservations and calling the day before to confirm and add to my party my reservations to bowl were canceled but our dining reservations were not. We attempted to wait and were told due to the mix up we would get pushed up in line to bowl. We were there at 5:30 for 5:45 reservations and left at 8 pm because we could not wait any longer due to other scheduled activities. This really didn't help with my birthday celebrations, especially since we had several people from out of state come there to celebrate. I feel like they should have some type of organization when it comes to amount of time each lane has when there are people who specifically made reservations to dine and bowl. The waiter, Daniel, was awesome but without the option to get a lane with the dine and bowl option, I would not have went there just to eat. They also stated they had a dress code online but it really looked like the dress code was made to deter certain individuals and it wasn't as upscale as advertised or as previous establishments we have been too. Overal I will probably not go back. The time we wasted we could have went out to eat and to a regular bowling alley and saved money, time and a headache.
I had made a reservation for Dine and Bowl a week prior to when we went. I confirmed that reservation two over email. I had read something about calling about dining and bowl, but read it as something you did IF you didn't get a confirmation email. When we arrived they refused to honor our reservation. It took over 15 minutes to be greeted by our waitress. My drink was supposed to have a poprocks rim. It did not. I mentioned it to the waitress and she stated she would bring me a new one. Never got it. It took over two hours from being seated, eating, and leaving. We ordered an appetizer and it took so long, we got our food about 2 minutes after we got the appetizer. One friend didn't order a second drink, they brought her a second drink anyway and then charged her for it.
Great environment with or without friends. Food was fantastic.. my wife and I thoroughly enjoyed ourselves. Will be back again!!
This was my first time going to King’s and it was amazing! Great date spot. We went during the afternoon and it wasn’t packed at all. We ate, bowled, played pool and watched March Madness on the big screens. Customer service was excellent and it was definitely a clean and fun atmosphere.
I made a dine and bowl reservation online and then called the day of to confirm that it processed. The person over the phone said yes. I arrived and check in and I’m told to wait while my table is being cleaned. 20 minutes pass and all the servers and receptionist keep walking pass us and not giving an update. So until i mention the reservation again thats when the receptionist cleans off a really tight table (I requested a booth) and proceeds to tell me there is no reserved bowling lane with my reservation. The wait to bowl would be 2+ hours. I just left
We had a little bachelorette party get together there and had soooo much fun! Love the food and the drinks! Great customer service!
Reservation said not confirmed until they called and confirmed with me. No one ever called I called and was immediately placed on hold. Stayed on hold for over 19 min. before I gave up and we made other plans.
I’ve been here a handful of times and always had a great experience. We went on a Saturday & I made our reservation 2 weeks in advance, also called to confirm dine + bowl. Our waiter was pushy, trying to convince those of us who had to drive home that we should drink (we didn’t). And the woman in charge of us having a lane kept telling us “you’re next” for 2 hours. We went to pay for our lane once we were finished bowling, I was double charged & then told I already paid with my meal. We were not told when you pay for your dinner that bowling is included as well, until after she charged my card a second time. It was a confusing and frustrating experience. Going on a week day I’ve had no issues, but I would not recommend going on the weekend even with reservations.
Horrible experience. Date down for dinner and they said to go check in for bowling and put name in list. We checked in and they said a 2 hour wait which we we're fine with. We ordered or food and drinks and 10 minutes later we were called for bowling. We had to eat our dinner on the bowling lanes. Extremely rushed. Everyone was confused that worked there. I will not go back. Way to expensive for a bad experience.
Made reservations for dine then bowl.. We dined but couldn’t bowl.. the wait was 3 hours long.. Watered down drinks at the main bar.. I could smell the bar from my seat! Think I’ll be finding a new place to goto!
Hair in burger but Manager was great to fix it, and waiter was great as well. Service was excellent in dining and bowling areas. Food was sub-par, and we definitely overpaid, in terms of quality. Overall, it was a pricey visit but the kiddos liked it, so happy kids=happy parents! Bowling was super fun, and the kids loved the lights!
Unfortunately I made the wrong reservation. I wanted to dine and bowl and the one I made was a dine in only. Fortunately we were still able to bowl. The reservations with the restaurant was ridiculous no one was at the stand waiters were in disarray and this is on a regular Sunday afternoon. The employees in the bowling department were extremely rude and nasty and our lane for bowling had technical issues. So I wasn’t living for that place and not sure I’d go again unless management gets it together
Went to watch the superbowl with some friends, we reserved "counter seats" before going. When we got there the hostess looked up our reservation and then tried to place us in a booth that was not near a tv...pointless on superbowl sunday! We had to ask to move to the counter top, like we had reserved. Then we had to keep waiting for our food and drinks. One food order came out wrong. This was all happening while there was a total of maybe 5 people sitting at your bar.
Really great place for Adults to enjoy.
Food: Typical restaurant menu that is similar to Applebee’s and TGIF. Had the chicken taco which were decent.
Games: Reasonably priced in comparison to Dave & Busters. Plenty of ping pong/pool tables, and bowling lanes. Feel like there is plenty of space between the tables so that you are not bumping into other guests.
Drinks: Same as any other restaurant. My group order Shareable Mai Tai which were delicious, but the Sangrias seemed a little watered down.
Staff: Nice and friendly! Waiter was quick, accurate, and fun.
I would not recommend this venue, despite making online reservations and speaking with a representative via email my husband’s birthday celebration was marred with their sup par service and attitude. I was given a million reason why my reservation was not showing up right in the system but even when I settled to dine there with an exorbitant wait for bowling they never sat us, despite having reservations for a specific time and arriving early. No one spoke to us about our service, about our wait, no one attempted to make space at the bar being that we had a reservation. When we asked to please be seated (45 mins after arrival) everyone went running and we still weren’t seated, our party was not directed to a staff, manager or anything. I ended up calling the local Dave and Busters and explaining the situation and being ensured we would be taken care of there. I will never return.
I booked dine and bowl and my bowling got booted due to computer
We had a blast! We will be back!
The dining area had great service. When we starting bowling the service was horrible. We had to constantly ask for things that was missing from other food being order. We had to go to the counter to get the bill at the end just to pay. The guy that was in the back was attending to the black group that was at the table near the bar in the back more than anything. He never came to follow up. It took forever just to get his attention. Overall it was just irritating.
Food was the best part--high quality and great selection. Bowling is highly overpriced for the quality of the lanes and actual bowling experience. I also didn't appreciate that I made a reservation for bowling and dinner, but was basically forced to bowl first, because they were going to "lock the lanes down in 30 minutes." Service in the bowling alley bar was exceptional. Service at the table was lackluster. Overall 5 people bowling 2 games, 2 appetizers, 3 meals, 6 beers, and 2 sodas totaled $210 + tip. Not a great value for what you got.
Did the dine and bowl. Hamburgers undercooked- watch out. Probably my what made my wife ill later on. Waited more than 1 hour after our meal for bowling Lane to open. No associate from Kings ever contacted us prior to reservation to confirm post dinner details.
Our friends didn’t like the margaritas or the mojito but we ended up with a private lane for bowling which was awesome.
Staff very friendly and helpful. Food casual and tasty. Food prices reasonable and fair. But you’re coming here for the bowling and other games. The players, like myself, are rusty or inexperienced. Gamers are just having fun. Beverage prices run from budget to upscale. All in all this is a place for a night of fun. P.S. for parking just opt for the garage just beside the place.
This place ruined the birthday party I planned for my wife. I called to
Make a lane reservation and they said “sorry we don’t do lane reservations BUT IF You reserve a table for Dinner, you will have a lane for bowling afterwards”. I went on Open Table and made a reservation for 8 people. We arrived for our 6:30pm dinner reservation and I discovered that there was NO LANE reservation afterwards.
If I wanted a lane, it was gonna be 2.5-3 hours wait time. They also told us that the teenagers we had with us had to be out by 9pm even though their website and front door say they had to be out at 10pm. I spoke with the manager about this and she was extremely rude, unfriendly, and spoke to me with sarcasm. Our food was mediocre at best with most of our food being cold. Loud crude rap music accompanied our dinner too. If you wanna eat your tacos or burger while rocking out to songs about bi*ches and hoes at 6:30pm, it’s perfect!! Anyhow, I’m sure they won’t do anything to fix my experience. This reveiw will go un-noticed I’m sure. I do not recommend Kings for anything. Twice as expensive as a regular bowling alley......but for what I ask??
Food, environment and staff was excellent. Very pleased with this restaurant. Wife and I purchased the wings and the Southwestern Eggs Rolls and we were very pleased. Wings were crispy, tasteful and the dipping sauce was spot on. We will definitely be back.
Elijah our waiter did an excellent job attending to us as well.
You pay too much for food that is mediocre, service that is horrible, and a bowling alley that you have to request help half of the time because pins are down when they shouldn’t be. Definitely not worth the money or time.
It could have been better but We has an awesome time
