We saw an add in the subway about the chocolate fondue. However it turned out that they discontinued it the day before we visited.
The hostess was pushy on bowling and they seemed a bit upset after we said we just want food.
The food was okay, nothing special. However, it did take nearly 30 min and three requests to get our water.
The waiter/bartender was playing scratch cards behind the table.
Overall, not great experience. The seaport location is much better.
This was the first time my date and I had ever been to King’s. We will return!
We made a dinner & bowl reservation— do that! It guarantees you a bowling lane after you complete your meal. We had no wait!
The food was flavorful —Philly tuna bites were a perfect app. The chicken street tacos (3) were a nice portion and did not disappoint at all; and the Texas burger (which also has pulled pork and bacon) was awesome.
Our host, and servers were proactive and attentive, and Pedro the manager was outstanding. He walked us from our table to our lane, and checked on us. Who does that anymore? Incredible service.
Bowling was fun—skeeball was better!
If there were not a private event in the main dining area, it probably would have been better, but we got seated in the lounge with the bartender as our server, which he was too busy to manage. One meal came out 20 minutes after the rest, and getting drink refills was tough.
We had dinner with our grandkids and their parents and then a round of bowling afterwards. The food was fine (about what you'd expect) and the service very good. Our waiter George gave the kids some game tokens, so they were happy. Drinks were a little skimpy though... The bowling was OK -- we had some issues getting the bumpers working and that took a while to resolve (they finally moved us to a different lane) and we thought the price was a bit high, but then we're from Maine, so maybe that's just Boston pricing. It is dark and noisy, so don't go if you want a quiet meal. But overall, we were happy and we'd go back.
This was a very special day for my family, my son had just graduated from Berklee College of Music and the staff at Kings Dining & Entertainment were so welcoming and congratulated my son for his accomplishment. All our needs were met and the staff were so upbeat and friendly. Thumbs up on our experience!
Full one of the very few places open and serving food after midnight, this was surprisingly good.
Food & service were fantastic!! Did not expect food of that quality at a venue like this.
Waited 25 minutes until recieving our first drink, the food and establishment look absolutely nothing like the website pictures, not even close. I hate leaving bad reviews but this place was very decieving and in the wrong way.
We could not find a hostess upon arrival. Once we finally found someone who worked there, they sat us down without menus and without a waiter. We waited for a half hour before finally getting service. The waitress then forgot both drink and food orders. It was a huge mess.
Had an excellent experience at Kings Boston for our group luncheon, Neff was super and stuck with us through our entire event. She I interacted with the group perfectly.
We made a reservation on a Friday night to dine and bowl thinking it would be busy like all the other locations I visited. It was dead and had a boring vibe. When I walked in we were seated quickly. After that the service was awful. They took forever to bring our drinks and then did not leave straws for our waters. We were sharing a few apps and they brought out our food with no individual plates for us. I must say the food and Sangria tasted delicious. I had to ask multiple times before the straws were brought to us. They then asked us to fill out a bowling slip... And said we should've gotten one when we first got there. After dinner we went to our bowling lane. The staff at the front desk said our shoes were already over there. We went over there and there were no bowling shoes so we had to go ask again. The server over there was very good and attentitive. Bowling was fun. We spent a ton of money though, I feel it was over priced especially for the lack of service.
The bowling here is fantastic. Eating beforehand let’s you skip the wait and the food is actually pretty good (and inexpensive)
Had a lot of fun. Solid food.
The food was great, prices were reasonable, and service was very friendly!
they went above an beyond to make my wifes birthday a special nite out for her, from thee time we sat down for dinner an dessert our waitress was amazing. they even sang to her when she got her dessert. their happened to be a private event when we came, but were able to play some games, then at 9:00p.m. joined karoke time, the guy running it announced my wifes day. and helped her decide if she wanted to give a go on a song and she did so he also dueted with her on a hall & oates son g Rich Girl, she felt so honored by that, what a cool evening we had. thank you for a wonderful evening..
Service was crappy, food was decent. They kicked us off after two games because they said they had a waitlist and then no one took our lane after us. Extremely over priced, paid $70 for two rounds of bowling with three people. Disorganized and chaotic. Would not go back.
The service was terrible. My party of two reserved the dine and bowl option, as it was advertised as the best option to avoid a wait, then ended up waiting two hours to actually bowl. The server at the restaurant section was slow to take our drink order, slow to provide us with food menus, and failed to give us a buzzer to let us know when our lane would be ready. (Another server eventually took care of it.) The dinner ended up being more than it was worth. Service at the lanes was also slow. We bowled for less than 30 minutes for two games and left. Wouldn't recommend for a smaller group or date night -- probably best for a large birthday party or event.
No service, sat ourselves, waited 20 minutes didn’t even get a hello and had to leave
We had a great time for NYE! Dine N' Bowl is the best option and they had hats, noise makers and balloons! We had a lot of fun!
Great classy place with attentive staff and genuine service. Ask them about their promotional nights like All You Can Play. Can not wait to go back!
Thursday night karaoke at King’s was so much fun, and our server was great!
We were the only table in the restaurant. Reservations are not necessary. Food was great and so was the service however it was awkward being the only table in the restaurant part. But the time we finished dinner, the bowling area was filling up.
We had a very nice dining experience at King's. Very attentive wait staff and manager.
Only disapointment was the limited dessert menu which has been changed to feature only ice cream and shakes
Table was prepared. Waitress was friendly. Bowling was fun. Music was very loud but jammed to it while blowing. Food was ok. Not many options and the pasta was plain in flavor and plating
I great place to have fun! We enjoyed our appetizers, the service was good. We opted to just play some pool but there was some confusion as to which pool table was ours. The bathrooms closest to the bowling and pool were out of order. So you had to walk further through the restaurant. All in all, still a very enjoyable evening.
Our reservation was confirmed, but no one at the restaurant was aware of it. There is no host/hostess on duty, so we wandered from lounge (closed for "paint night" without any signs to indicate such) to bowling alley, to bar, without a single employee approaching us. We were told to seat ourselves when we asked the girl selling bowling passes, then ignored by several servers for 10 minutes. When my dining companion chased down a passing server, he was told rudely that he needed to "remember his server!" With a quick gesture towards a woman nearby. We sat for another 5 minutes at a dirty, wobbling bar table before giving up. Can't truly rate the food because we were never even offered menus. Very disappointing.
Food was good. Had a gluten free options for my daughter. My husband ordered a burger and requested no pickles but they come on it anyway. He was not happy.
The bAthroom stalls did not have toilet paper. My daughter texted me asking me to get her some. I told a waitress and she brought some in but only enough for her. I later went in and only found some in one of the stalls. I again told the staff but they did not go in and fill it
Food was good but not exceptional on average. it was exactly what I expected. lots of options and bowling was fun
long wait for the bowling lanes; much longer than what was noted at check-in.
Heads up - this is a bar/arcade and none of the Open Table notes made that very clear. Not the greatest for conversation, and very few tables (glad we had a reservation)! Service was average - very few tables so it felt like they should have been more attentive.
It was really crowded and we were all forced to spend an absurd amount of money of full entrees even though we just wanted to bowl because the wait was 2 hours just to bowl, and if we wanted our name at the top of the list then we'd have to get full entrees or the drink equivalent. The bowling per person was $14 per person per GAME, not per hour. Too short for such a hassle of a wait. However, we still had fun, but didn't come back thrilled about the price. It should be a bowling place with food, not the other way around.
Great value, lots of fun for a date night. Lots of games to play, and great appetizer options to eat while you bowl. Friendly and helpful staff. Will definitely go again!
We had a great server at Kings, and the food and serving time were both spectacular. That said, the audio system is AWFUL, and since we were there to watch the Super Bowl, we found this incredibly frustrating. Half the speakers were glitchy, and there was always very loud feedback that made things hard to hear anyway. Would definitely recommend for a lunch or dinner night, particularly because of the bowling and gaming options, but I would not recommend for anyone hoping to watch a sporting event (or other televised function).
Food was under cooked and it just Kept going down from there
Stomach ache a few hours after pizza. Everything else was good.
We chose kings for its proximity to symphony hall. We were unfamiliar with the area and so we looked for a place that was casual, had a varied menu, not too pricey, and had different sit-down options. We wanted seating away from the bowling area since one person in our party wears hearing aids. We selected the dining only area in our reservation. However, we were told on arrival that we would not be seated there because they were not opening that section. We were seated in a bar area next to the bowling so we had all the noise. We ordered salads and a sandwich. Nothing special except 3 of the 4 orders were wrong and had to go back. Not thrilled with the quality or taste of the food. Wait staff was friendly and took care of the mix-ups. Even so, we would not recommend this restaurant or return.
Awful service. Horrible experience
Atmosphere was excellent for a bowling alley/restaurant combo. Refreshing to be able to go to a bowling alley that is clean and has decent food. Food was good, but could have been cooked better, ribs were not cooked long enough, but still good. Overall a positive experience and I would go again.
Food was very good, something for everyone. Menu was fairly priced for city dining and quality.
Bowling was pricey but a blast! Crowd gets loud after 9pm. If you're bringing underage children (family), come early, leave early.
Over all would suggest this a great place for a family to go with tweens - teens, and looks fun for the over 21 crowd later in the evening. Nice break from the usual Boston tourist, history, walking, shopping options for teens.
Made a reservation before a concert and sat for 15 minutes without anyone coming to our table. The 2 servers looked over a few times but never even brought menus so we got up and left. The lady at the bowling counter was friendly but unfortunately nobody on the dining side paid attention.
