Good all round nice staff quality food.
Very enjoyable meal.
Very nice pub with good food and friendly wait staff. I'd definitely recommend.
Everything was good - service was attentive but food service took a long time from kitchen.
Apart from that a great meal and will come again.
Awesome food and service
The staff really worked very hard to give us a gorgeous experience in spite of unpleasant weather for outdoor eating. The chef made accommodations for us as vegetarians on the Heirloom tomato starter - which I was very grateful for as it was so delicious. The area outside was covered so we were protected from the raging wind and spitting rain.
Amazing food and the lady who served us was very very lovely! Will be visiting if in the Bath area again!
Great evening, the Landlord and staff couldn’t do enough. I was travelling in my VW Camper and the Landlord allowed me to park over night which was great as the draught ale was very nice.
Menu apparently changes everyday so ignore the menu on the website and the app! How are your customers supposed to know what you’re offering beforehand? Good job we were not fussy eaters. However, Food was very good. The service was all over the place! The staff do not communicate with each-other (was only 4 other tables). Got asked if we had ordered 4 times by 4 different staff members and one older lady came across extremely rude like she didn’t want to be there (rather ungrateful considering many are out of work during Covid). They made a small error on the bill with the drinks, yet refused to honour that error and resulted in making me feel very silly for not remembering who served us our drinks, even though we had around 4 different servers. It’s their job to know this and work as a team, yet I was made to feel as though it was my fault they made the mistake. You can tell they lack competition in the area as management was short of professionalism and very rude. Arrogance and sarcasm does not make paying customers come back, a humble and respectful approach to customers goes a long way in business, yet unfortunately I don’t feel as though they have grasp that. Beautiful building with huge potential, such a shame.
Recently moved to the area and very pleased to have such a great pub nearby. We sat outside in the back garden with views over the countryside. Large car park and easy to find. Great selection of ales and menu was really impressive with a talented chef in the kitchen. I had a longhorn beef burger and others had the buttermilk pheasant breast Caesar salad all washed down with a lovely selection of ice cream. Greeted warmly and welcomed by the owners - we look forward to returning soon
Great welcome, small but perfectly adequate marquee, food was more posh and expensive than expected but superb. Lovely staff and excellent service. Would book again and hopefully the noisy loud people on the other 2 tables won't be there. Just annoys me when others are so inconsiderate to other diners, but a great pub.
Great food in a beautiful pub & surroundings..beer garden is a proper sun spot. The staff are extremely warm & courteous. I love coming herec
Very Kind review from a very kind customer. More thank welcome back anytime! Kings Arms Team
Lovely pub garden, nice staff, excellent food and drink! Can’t fault this place - excited that it’s soon to be our local.
Dear Imogen, Thank you for your kind review, it was a pleasure serving you, looking forward to seeing you again. Kind regards Kings Arms Team
The VERY best fish & chips EVER !!!!!
The Haddock perfectly moist - the beer batter light and crisp - the chips were golden & crunchy and actually tasted of potatoes ( hoorah ! )
The mushy peas made with fresh peas & mint.
This chef is a genius !!!!!
Will remember this meal for a long time and will definitely come back for more.
Dear Anne, your review is the best one ever! serving you is a real pleasure! thank you for your kind remarks. Kings Arms Team
Very nice historic country pub and with a large car park, a real gem. Excellent service and atmoshere. The menu is very good but we felt our smocked salmon needed somthing to accompany it, I asked for some lemon juice and it a while for them to find some. We also felt our roast beef was a bit tough which spoilt an otherwise excellent meal. We intend to go again.
