The restaurant was crowded when we arrived. Our reservation was honored. One in our party was ill and could not attend. That was not a problem for the restaurant. The service was poor, however. There was a long wait for the order to be taken, and a longer wait for the food to be served. Our server walked past our table a few times, but did not stop to ask if everything was okay or if we needed anything. Three of the four diners liked their food. One found hers not very flavorful. Overall, we were disappointed. We expected a finer dining experience.

This time my experience was not the best and I was embarrassed as it was the first time for the friends I took there. We were early for our reservation and as they were walking us to the drab, stuffy, dreary room off the front foyer, I mentioned I had spoken to Sam and he had said that he would accommodate my party with a table with a river view due to special needs. The hostess replied with an attitude: "Just because you ask for a table with a view of the river, it is not guaranteed." I could not understand that with all the open tables at 11:45 am on a Wednesday with a river view why we could not be accommodated but I did not persist, mainly because I did not want to embarrass my guests. We all ordered cheeseburgers which were done to everyone's liking. However when our food came, our waitress had not supplied us with any utensils. I saw there were utensils on other tables so I got them for our table because I didn't want my guests' food to get cold waiting for our waitress to return. Not everyone had the pickles that were included with their meal. It was just rather sloppy and I got the feeling that though we were spending our money there it wasn't appreciated. Not sure if I will return even if it is convenient to the Bristol theatre. Next time it will be Cesare's.

We had a lovely table with a beautiful view of the river. Our server was wonderful - very attentive and supportive of a food allergy.

The four of us enjoyed every aspect of our dinner at the Inn. Each if our meals was delicious. The waiter was attentive but not annoying. Our food arrived promptly. We especially appreciated being seated in a very quiet location due to hearing difficulties. We will definitely return fir a meal in the future and recommend thus resturant to our friends.

We always meet friends from out of town here. The Cobb salad for the table was very good. As soon as the four of us started our entrees we all reacted at once- OMG the SALT. All our entrees were extremely overly salted. My wife and I had the specials and she had to box hers to take home. We should’ve sent them back. Two in our party ate some of their entrees, but asked for boxes. The salt level was extreme. The owner came over and talked to us and we complained. He said- Really? Sorry! There was smalltalk about where we were from and that was it. Very disappointing.

The King George does not disappoint, in terms of food quality & choice, the view of the river, comfortable seating, and exemplary servers. The price of lunch is also very affordable - $20. total with tip & tax!!

This was a great place to eat dinner if you are seeing a show in Bristol. The food selections were unique and delicious. Is it close to the river so we had a nice walk in the community park behind the restaurant.
