King Bar at the landmark Garden City Hotel is an Open Table Diner's Choice Award recipient featuring New American cuisine by Executive Chef Anup Patwal. Enjoy whimsical dishes like naked or dressed oysters, David Burke's signature clothesline bacon, and other shareable plates served with an array of signature cocktails, fine wines by the glass, and local beers.

Breakfast: weekdays 7am-11am, weekends 7:30am-10:30am
Lunch: Wednesday to Saturday, 12pm-4:30pm
Sunday Brunch: seatings 11a/11:15 & 1:45p/2p (Reservations Required)
Dinner: Nightly, 4pm-10pm

Dress code: tastefully casual. No hats, sweatpants, tank tops, crop tops, flip-flips, open toe shoes on gentlemen, or pool/gym attire. Hoodies are allowed, but hoods must be worn down.

For parties/reservations of 8 or more, a $50 deposit per guest is required, which will be redeemed on the date of the reservation.

This is a lovely way to enjoy brunch and all categories are exceptional. This time the cold seafood bar was not quite what it usually is. The lobsters were tough and tasteless, the shrimp cocktail was frozen. The salads are always inventive and superb, the desserts exquisite, the cheese/charcuterie delicious with a wide selection of choices. I don’t really eat the entrees, but do like the eggs or omelettes. The sausages, however had no choice for how they were cooked, they were all pale with no browning. It was like they were boiled. The service was excellent. Your staff is, in my opinion, the best on Long Island. The greeters/seaters, waitstaff, buffet servers, etc. all so cordial and professional. I always add a little more to the tip in cash to ensure they get 20%.

Not busy yet we waited forever for service between courses and had to ask several times to get water. Then a man walked in, obviously a VIP and everyone continued to fawn over him, so when we were able to get a check finally, it was the wrong one. Waited a bit to get it corrected and finally left. Unusual experience for this place as we come often.

Our Senior Food & Beverage Manager, Michael, stopped by during your visit to check on the dinner experience and your party stated that everything was satisfactory and were fond of the waiter, Nicholas. Delicious 12 oz Filet Mignon prepared exactly as requested, and an abundance of crisp truffle fries, again prepared exactly as requested. Outstanding attentive friendly service. Delightfully quiet and private table contributed to a most relaxing and enjoyable dinner. Thanks, everyone!

We celebrated our daughter’s 30th birthday and the staff had a card at the table signed by so many people in the restaurant Also our server-Venus-fabulous!! Helpful with our ordering and so kind about her celebration!!Loved Venus❤️🥂

I really enjoyed our meal. My wife and I shared the porter house steak for two! It was cooked perfectly and tasted delicious! We shared an appetizer and had two sides with our steak and then shared a dessert. All were delicious! The service was very good considering it was Valentines Day and the restaurant got very crowded. The staff was pleasant and eager to help. All in all very nice but pricey!!
