For parties/reservations of 6 or more, a $300 deposit is required for dinner service and a $150 deposit is required for breakfast or brunch service.
Our restaurants and lounges will have several precautionary adjustments in place:
•Vaccinated guests are not required to wear their masks if they voluntarily disclose full proof of vaccination. Otherwise, masks are required in public spaces of the hotel. Non-vaccinated guests, masks are required.

My guest and I arrived on time for our 8:30 reservation, there was no hostess to seat us so we made our way to a table ourselves, as a server walked by we had to ask for a menu. At that point I figured the server knew we wanted to order something, we waited 15 minutes before my guest walked to the bar to ask for a server to take our order, the bartender said he would send someone over. We waited another 10 minutes and decided to get up and leave a go to another venue close by on Franklin Ave. This was my first time going to the Garden City Hotel and it was extremely disappointing!

Comfortable seating, food menu beyond most bar offerings, wonderful Manhattans which we get every time we go to the Garden City Hotel. Reserve ahead - it's popular.

Great service and good food but very small portions for some menu items. I had a baked dish for the Sunday brunch and it was very tasty but it was very small. I had to fill up on the bread. On Friday we ate dinner there. My wife ordered the lobster roll for $28 which was good and adequate size. I ordered the grilled octopus which was listed as a MAIN course, not an appetizer. When it came we both were stunned. There was a small bed of couscous and two small peppers and on top was the grilled octopus, one tentacle which was the size of my pinky. It cost $23. I am not a complainer but I can't believe I didn't request to see a manager and ask if it was a joke. I'm also sorry I didn't take a picture. My wife and I were joking if there was a hidden camera to catch our reaction. In any case I want to emphasize that both times we ate there the service by staff and management was exceptional.

With inflation in the food industry, some delicacies have increased industry wide. The octopus we use comes from the Mediterranean Sea, arguably the best. However, if you are dissatisfied with anything we would love the opportunity to correct things if you bring it to our attention when you are dining. I hope you will give us another opportunity to serve you.

I had arrived with my party about 5-10 mins before our reservation to check in. At the time of the reservation, we were told it would be a 5 minute wait so that our table can be ready. 20-30 mins later was when it was actually ready.
The place was short staffed, so I wouldn't blame the service we did get. It is definitely a management issue. There appeared to be 2 people "checking" the place, but never with any of the tables and never assisting staff.
The waiter was polite when he was able to get to us. Food was good, but nothing exceptional for the price. Decor is what you would expect from any hotel restaurant.
It was overall, just good. I wouldn't turn down an invitation here, but I don't think I would return.
As in most busy restaurants there is sometimes a small delay and I sincerely apologize that you experienced this. Regrettably we are experiencing the very same staffing challenge that most employers are struggling with across the country which is a low volume of people seeking to return to the workforce. We believe it is best to be honest about this and ask for your patience as we work diligently to fortify our business with talented, dedicated and well trained new team members
Went here for Fathers Day. No brunch buffet open and standard menu was subpar. Wasted trip.

I booked the King Bar only because the Red Salt Room had a private party. I didn’t realize that the noise level was so high due to the Triple Crown race on TV. The bar itself is attractive, the chairs were so low for my tall family we all asked for pillows! Food was very good but the service was way too slow.

The TV's are only on for the Belmont Stakes race which only lasts a few minutes but it is understandable that people get excited and may have been a bit loud during the race. Usually the TV's are off during so we do hope you give us another opportunity.

The Manhattan was fantastic
It was so nice to have someone serve me! Minor blips in timing of service which is what can be expected these days due to staffing shortages. Very nice staff being as accommodating as possible. The Bronzino dish was excellent. Candy bacon delicious, spinach salad enjoyable drinks were good and far better than in a NYC restaurant we were at last week.

This restaurant was very deceiving around Redsalt and king bar we had planed on dining in red salt and were stuck in King Bar. The hostess was really less than helpful even after the manger told us he could accommodate. While we had some very good food, the service was mediocre at best. We only saw our server when flaging him down and had to ask for our check after being there for 3 hours.
Please accept our sincere apologies for any miscommunication. When Red Salt Room is sold out we do extend into the adjoining King Bar to better accommodate everyone and I apologize if this was not made clear. Your comments will be shared with our Restaurant Managers. We hope that you will give us another opportunity.
The staff is nice and the food is food. Will return for dinner.

My first indoor dining experience in a year and it was outstanding. Tables were well spaced for safety, so we felt very at ease. We were seated by the fire for the first time, and the ambience overall was lovely. Seafood platter was fresh and pasta tasted homemade, with generous short rib. So delicious. Our server, Brian, was professional, attentive and kind. Overall, a wonderful experience.

The drinks were terrible and there was a fly in my drink. The bartender had poor social skills. Very unprofessional and rude. I’ll never come back and definitely will not recommend to anyone
Brunch experience was wonderful. Bellini delicious, crab Benedict was perfection, crab fresh and buttery. Donut tasting wasn’t made in house is my only critique. Service excellent and unobtrusive. Will return.

This was our first brunch since Covid..we miss the elaborate buffet, but really have enjoyed our brunches and dinners

The chef, waitress and concierge at the hotel and restaurant were on the top of their game with attentiveness and service. Smoked maple bacon was outstanding as was the main meal.

Wonderful & cozy environment for brunch. The wait staff was amazingly attentive and pleasant. Had a great afternoon with friends by the fireplace over spicy margaritas. The smoked bacon and stuffed french toast was also delicious. Definitely a must try!
