King & Queen Cantina - San Diego
First time actually eating here, but we have been a couple times before for drinks. The food was absolutely delicious, I had the fried avocado tacos with sweet potato tortillas. Friggin’ delish!
Check in process was a little chaotic, but only waited for 5 minute after scheduled reservation time. They limit table usage to an hour and 30 minutes which is nice to keep things moving.
great service, delicious food and drinks !
Glad you guys are back and running! I’ve missed dinning in there.
Great food and great service. Juan was amazing.
We always recieve a consistant service and food experience that will keep us coming back. We also enjoy their other location in the valle de guadalupe in Baja. Love this spot. Salud #maschingon
Juan the waiter was amazing!! Juan’s customer service was impressive!! Thank you Juan!
Always a great mid week date night
Accommodating and fun for a bday! We loved the complimentary churro cart and our server also assisted with a cake we brought. The $350 minimum for parties of 10 or more is rough and dissuaded us from having more in our party. Nonetheless, it was a great time and love that they are dog friendly too.
I noted on the reservation that there were two gluten free diners, their menu advertises many gluten free options, the server acknowledged the dietary restrictions, but then informed us, after we ordered drinks, that there are only 2 really gluten free options: salad or ceviche. I paid $38 for a side of rice and beans and a margarita flight that was way too sweet.
It’s such a fun vibe
A bit underwhelming given the strong reviews on Yelp and Google. It’s more of a louder type of restaurant and better for groups and when you all want to drink margaritas or margarita flights. But if you’re primarily looking for solid Mexican food, go elsewhere. Food was overpriced for the quality you get.
Great food and overall experience!
Took 45 minutes to get seated even though we had a reservation
Beautiful place! Staff is wonderful. We had reservations for 7pm, but got seated after 8pm due to the high volume of customers. I didnt mind- without reservations, the wait was 2 hrs at minimum. It's to be expected since it's new and so different from what's already around Little Italy. Great variation of food and drinks. Our waitress was superb in attention considering how busy they were. Site manager was wonderful in helping staff out in problem solving and serving. I would definitely come back. Just keep in mind that there may be a wait with reservations.
It is a fun loud energetic place. Tortillas could be better but overall food was good. My husband and I shared a parrillada. Drinks were delicious, I had a Tamarindo margarita, yummy!
The food was good, nothing spectacular and nothing bad. It was very loud on a Saturday afternoon, so be prepared to yell at your neighbor. I guess that’s good since it is a new place, showing how popular the place was.
I love coming here for the margarita flights . They’re amazing , tacos are great too
Great service, waiter was very polite
Absolutely horrible. Food was brought out freezing cold. Music was way too loud. Couldn’t pay fast enough to get out of there. Will not be returning.
Our server was outstanding! Noise level made it hard to have a conversation. Food and drinks were unique and delicious.
Nice ambience.... they do have a 2nd floor with balcony area
Visiting for a conference, attracted by the strong reviews. An eclectic mix of traditional and inspired fusion dishes. Among us Korean tacos, tuna tostada and traditional carne asada—three happy diners. Only downside, their ginger beer lacked punch. Plan to return with others tomorrow.
Great food great service- but SO noisy! They did turndown the music when we asked but conversation was still difficult
Really great spot, our service was fantastic. I would definitely recommend this place to my family and friends
It was great. Our server made the night very enjoyable
Good food at a very reasonable price.
The music was a bit loud . We loved the atmosphere, our server Leo was great.
I made a reservation over a week in advance for a small party for outdoor seating. The hostess mistakenly gave the wrong party my table, instead of being apologetic the hostess was rude to our entire group and basically stated that my reservation was not the most important one. She stated that if I wanted to sit outside we would “have to wait for awhile”. We were then sat inside, even though we very specifically requested outdoor seating for our event. The food was very tasty, the drinks were great, and our server Alfonso was awesome and very attentive. However because of the hostess’ rude treatment to myself and my group, the lack of consideration when she made a mistake, and zero attempt to compensate for their mistake I would not recommend this restaurant. We were not offered to move to a table outside nor given an apology verbal or with a simple kind gesture. Very disappointed.
Avocado toast at brunch was amazing!!! Nice area to enjoy a Saturday morning and into afternoon.
Our waiter Juan is the best. He provides excellent customer service goes above and beyond to make our time there is a great experience. If you ever go there ask for Juan. You will not be disappointed just a positive person with positive energy!
The food was great and we had a really attentive waitress.
Everything here was great (taste of food, friendliness, service, atmosphere, variety, uniqueness)...but our service was WAY too fast! We felt SERIOUSLY rushed. Runners were bringing dishes when there was not an inch of room on our table and removing plates when we were still eating from them. Everyone was friendly and (obviously) on top of the team approach of servicing every table...just a tad TOO much. We are going to try it again and hope it was a fluke because everything else was great. We mentioned it to our waitress when paying the bill and she did say they get that feedback. She said the management doesn't listen to her and that I should write a Yelp review because that's what they pay attention to... hopefully they read this. No one wants to feel rushed during a night out.
Valentines dinner with friends who had never dined there before. Our waiter was fantastic, the carnitas were AMAZING.
Food and drinks were delicious and service was great
First time here. Super snotty unhelpful outside hostess. Thankfully, the service got better once we got seated. The food and drinks were awesome!
Grilled octopus, soyrizo nachos and tacos we're delicious. The shishito peppers were amazing!
Very good food, lively ambiance. My waitress was very attentive, courteous, and made the experience really good. Besides, you can't go wrong with bottomless mimosas, am I right!? Lol!
