   When our server learned of a food allergy, he took the time to go through the menu for safe items. That type of considerate, efficient, educated service can’t be overstated! We both had the Blue Chip Seafood Salad and loved it.

   This is just an awesome dining experience in the middle of The Loop. Well-curated, fire-cooked culinary experience with friendly, attentive staff--Lauren and Aly were fantastic--and a great whiskey collection to boot. Whether for lunch/dinner, business or social, it's great. And this comes from someone who almost never posts anything on-line--happy to do it.

   I hosted a small farewell happy hour for my manager. Beginning to end my experience was wonderful. The Catering Manager was AWESOME, the Hostess that greeted me upon my arrival was accommodating and the waitstaff was phenomenal!!! I will definitely return for dinner.

   Server was absent, spilled wine, couldn’t open a wine bottle correctly, forgot us at the table. Complained that an almost $1000 check was split in 2. For what we paid and the level of sophistication this restaurant should have under j. sawyer, I’m severely underwhelmed and disappointed. It sucks that my first experience at Sawyer’s restaurant culminated in disappointment. Definitely not worth the money or a return visit.

   Excellent food, wine and service in a pleasant setting for a business dinner. Some parts of the restaurant are a little cold due to drafts.

   For the second week running both the plates of my wife and I had chips in the ceramic. Very poor hygiene from a restaurant and a lack of quality control. How can a chef be proud of his food being plated up on sub-standard crockery.

   Slow service. The lobster in the Rigatoni tasted briny and the sauce had no flavor.

    The food is excellent at Kindling. I had the lobster bisque and macaroni and cheese, and I finished up with the cheesecake. I recommend all of them, and this restaurant. In fact, this is my favorite restaurant in Chicago.
