   Food was excellent. Very varied small plates (they recommend 2/3 items per person). Items are brought out when ready rather than all at once but you’re told this when you order. It actually makes it more relaxed in my opinion.

   Thoroughly enjoyed our vegan tapas/meze meal with wine. The place was lively, but not too noisy, and the staff were attentive and helpful. Cakes were a bit dry, to finish, unfortunately. I would quite happily return for more quality, veggie scran! Nice.

   We waited 25 minutes for a beer, only one dish came during the first hour the hole experience was very disappointing. We had been there a few times but in this occasion it was no good.

    OMG this was truly exceptional! Our meal and whole experience last night exceeded our expectations. The ambiance, lighting, music, seating, beer, wine were impeccable! And the food was creative, delicious and faultless. Such piquant flavours with every dish and the whole menu was so interesting with new ingredients to taste and discover. The Seabass was exceptional and my husband said his Flat Iron steak was so full of flavour. Genius chefs! Can’t wait to return and take others Thanks to a great team Janet

    Amazing food, the fresh flatbreads/pittas were amazing and the Geffen Salad is a must try. Super accommodating staff, really helpful and friendly. Love the pottery sessions as well in the back. A proper hidden gem of the north east.

    Some of the items off the menu hadn’t been prepared yet, so if I’d come later I’m sure I’d have got the food I ordered but would assume the full menu (it’s not very big) would be available from opening. The place looks run down, there was debris near our table from the night before, broken light fittings, patches of random paint on the wall and broken tiles in the bathroom. They either list food as vegan which isn’t vegan or the server didn’t know what they were talking about, either way, not acceptable at this price level.

    Really great day with my friend. Food was gorgeous although Camembert was expensive for its size. Staff were lovely but we did need to call them over a few times. Overall lovely place

    As always, warm and friendly ambience here. Couldn’t book for 5 on line, only 4,but staff replied back to message with ‘yes - possible’ Food delicious. Couldn’t ask for more.

    Excellent service. Nothing is too much for the staff who are informative and smiling. I would recommend sharing the sea bass which was gorgeous. The sweet potatoes dish was also delicious.

    Amazing food, somethings maybe a little overpriced for the amount you got however the taste and quality of the food was very good. Staff were lovely and really knowledgeable. I liked how they explained the menu. Only negative is not knowing until we paid that it was by card only. Nothing was mentioned when booking online which I think it should be. Also the back door we entered nothing was on there. We really wanted to pay cash so was quite an inconvenience not being able to do this.

    Such great servers they were so helpful with suggestions. My friend has a food allergy and the servers talked with the chefs and found an alternative way of cooking a couple of the dishes she had picked that she otherwise could not have had. Staff really went the extra mile and looked after us. Food was all amazing!! Great atmosphere, can't recommend Kiln enough. We will definitely be visiting again.

    Great restaurant. Loved the atmosphere and location. The fact there is a potters studio there gives it something different. Food and service excellent. Staff friendly and attentive to ensure you have everything you need.

    Food was delicious and it had a lovely lively but relaxed vibe. However, we were moved tables after an hour and a bit and the team seemed a bit overwhelmed by the busy Saturday rush. Food was amazing though so will definitely be back.

    Excellent food with an interesting selection of things we wouldn’t normally eat. Lovely beer as well. The pottery workshop ambience really resonated. Our waitress, Zara, was also excellent: helpful, considerate, personable and very attentive. We really enjoyed our visit and will return, especially when the pottery workshop is in action. It would be good to get notification when that was happening and when there is ceramic ware to purchase.
