   Never disappoints! It is an extraordinary newer addition to an already amazing collection of dining establishments in Old Town Alexandria. Chef marries gorgeous offerings from land and sea into creations that stun the palate.

   We went because of the tasting menu, but chef recently left so they are still working out the kinks. Rockfish and salad were too salty to eat, steak was good but a little overcooked. Way too expensive for the quality.

   Excellent food! Decor is a bit sparse- the back wall needs something to warm it up and relate back to the Kiln!

   The food and service were impeccable. We had the privilege of eating at the kitchen counter and experience watching the hard working chefs.

   Service was great, but despite several conversations with the staff, the kitchen brought out the food with exactly the ingredient I requested not to be included (due to an intolerance). After that got fixed, the food was delicious - I had the pork chop and it was so good, I had to finish it all! My friend ordered the gnocchi, and while they were very good, the portion was absolutely minuscule. I felt sorry for her for paying the price she paid for that. To me, that’s “fine dining” trying too hard. Overall, the ambience was nice and the service friendly, and I would go again.

   There were 2 of us. 1st time here. We were pleasantly surprised that the food was very good. My wife had the Rock fish and I had the Cat fish . Sticky Toffee pudding for dessert was delicious and the coffee was good. Hopefully we will be visiting again. The only negative for me, personally I like the traditional martini glass.

   Kale salad was terribly salty. Server didn't put in the main course order for one of the 4 of us; once it was realized, they rushed the cooking and the dish (pork chop) came out undercooked and arrived well after the rest of us had finished. Rockfish was a nice piece of fish but very bland preparation. Hamachi crudo same thing, little flavor. Overall very disappointing meal, especially at the fine dining prices.
