Delicious food and great service from everyone who works there.
Good food but for all the hype about how great it was I would say it just fine not outstanding. Presentation was lovely. Excellent service. Surprisingly interesting wine list. Hot in the restaurant. Was there even any air conditioning?
Great time. Business and client birthday. Brent was cool!
Steaks weren’t what we are accustomed to at a Killens restaurant. May have been an off night.
Amazing and coming again
Killen's STQ is over rated . Three days ago I had dinner with my friend . I shared an appetizer and a 14 oz. ribeye steak, mash potatoes , a bottle of wine, and a dessert. The bill totaled $ 211.00 The steak was tough, and the appetizer was poor. When I complained to the manager he accused me of trying to get a free meal and yelled at me
Amazing food. The smoked short rib was my favorite. Service is excellent.
Yes, our table was not ready on my booking time. But, patience is a virtue. Our waitress, Mia was an amazing and professional personnel during our time of dinner. She was attentive and well rounded informative with all our food decisions. Thank you, again.
Great steaks of course. The sides were also excellent as was dessert. We had the Wagyu Ribeye and split it between the two of us. That was enough for the two of us plus a couple of sides. The wine list is excellent with a lot of Napa cabs from small producers. This is a steak house we would return to.
Not only were the steaks incredible, but the sides were just as good. At our table we had filet mignon, oysters, salad, Brussel sprouts, mushrooms and asparagus. Everything was outstanding.
The appetizers are worth the trip alone!
It was my 2nd time to visit and everything was EXCELLENT!!!
Being a native of Houston, I know there too many food options for a Saturday night dinner. Lucky I choice STQ! This restaurant is everything you want for steak night. The restaurant is small with less than 20 tables (inside), a perfect change from the oversized restaurants all over town. Our service was amazing, Brent was our waiter (yes, I remember his name) he, was very attentive and excellent with suggestions. Now on to our food, we started with the Pecan smocked pork belly it was the perfect started for the night. It was perfectly flavored to the point that we contemplated licking the sauce off the plate. Then we moved on to our entrée, one center cut filet, one post oak beef short rib, one chicken fried ribeye, and gouda mac & cheese. Once our food arrived at the table our conversation ended, we no longer spoke until there was no trace of food on our plates. The beef short rib fell off the bone, with a perfectly cooked gouda mac& cheese (mac & cheese is must when judging a steak house). The chicken fried ribeye was exactly what you want when you think of chicken fired, it tasted like, home. I have not been so satisfied with a restaurant in the last couple of years, I will definitely be returning!
Anthony was our waiter....he was fantastic. Spent time to explain the menu selections and made good recommendations. The restaurant is nice and not loud. Easy to carry on a conversation in a relaxing environment. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone!! Great job!!
While a little more expensive than other steakhouses, the beef is excellent and the side dishes are well prepared. I had hoped for a few more tempranillo and malbec wine options but we found a good one. The restaurant's aesthetic is pretty basic, not like an old line steakhouse. Service could not have been better.
Loved it! Really excellent steak and unique menu options.
We went for lunch and enjoyed the $29 three course lunch. There were ample selections in each catagory. I had the chicken fried ribeye and it was delicious. For dessert, I chose bread pudding...a favorite of mine...and it was really good.
We will surly go again, and recommend it to all our friends.
We would have gone sooner, but I thought they were only open for dinner. Now, they also serve lunch, which is my preferred eating out time....
The pork belly and corn are must haves. I rarely call any dish transcendental. They're that damn good. I forgot to take pics. It was that incredibly excellent. A grand slam.
Michael was our server, and he was so kind in helping us choose our menu items. We appreciated being greeted with a smile by members of your staff. Short ribs were humongous.
Just FABULOUS, can always count on Ronnie to have always the very best!!!
Last time the fish was terrible but this time the steak was great.
Excellent service, phenomenal food. Dry-aged beef was perfect, best Mac & cheese ever
My wife and I were celebrating our 21st Anniversary.
I ordered an aged ribeye which was very good.
My wife ordered the pork chop, it was very undercooked.
We ordered coffee and desert, the coffee came out first. We were almost finished with our coffee before the desert hit the table.
Overall the worst experience in our three years coming here. We don’t care to return.
We have been here before and have returned because it is a very tasty delicious dining experience. Everything was cooked to our satisfaction. Side orders are reasonable size that can be shared by 2 people. Good selection of crafted cocktails and fine spirits.
Food was spectacular! Brent was amazing!!! He made us feel like we were childhood friends!
The food was amazing. I caught our server roll his eyes at us and I felt like we weren’t really his priority.
Bigger, quieter building would be nice. Otherwise, an outstanding experience.
I went to STQ on Wednesday night with a group of seven. From the front desk to the bartender to the table service, I give them a 10. I was not disappointed, and fell in love with the short ribs, which I've not had before. I always get the bone in ribeye, but the short ribs blew us away. Also the bread pudding and SMOKED chocolate cake were a huge hit. Thank you for a great evening, and I'll be back soon! BTW I came from San Antonio and had this reservation before I even made my travel plans.
Food served cold. Did replace.
Few people in restaurant ..
Food sat at pickup station too long.
Client commented as she was facing the kitchen.
First server disappeared but another young man noticed and tried to help.
Flag down to get check. PS No bread served at lunch... Strange..
Second time for lunch in a month. Won't go back at lunch but
do frequent at dinner.
The pork belly appetizer was so yummy that I can’t wait to back!
Great food as expected from a Killen’s establishment. We’ve had dinner and lunch here. It is a small place so the noise level may be an issue for some. The 3 course lunch is a great value.
Meal was good, but waiter forgot to charge us for wine. Then called to add wine to bill after we left, and added 20% gratuity.
The food and service were amazing. The only reason i give it 4 stars is because i thought some of the spotlighting that they had was kind of harsh, they should invest in some better lighting that doesnt shine in your face.
Service and food was great as always!
Nice atmosphere food was very bland best Thing on the menu was carrot cake.
Good for a business or working lunch. Food was quality great we ordered steaks of the dinner menu.
It was our 10 year Wedding Anniversary! Everything was absolutely perfect. Mia our sever was delightful and did an excellent job! Thanks for an amazing experience.
Great service, delicious food but wish it was not so dark. I’m older so...
Worth every penny!
