We've been coming to Killarney for many years. In our younger years most of it was camping but our introduction to Killarney was KML. We continue to come back.
My only criticism of the food it not enough fresh vegetables...tomatoes cauliflower beans.
Otherwise very pleased. We recommend Killarney to all our friends.
It was great to see all the Ontario license plates in the parking lot!
Outstanding food , excellent service like always.
Killarney Mountain Lodge was a great place to enjoy the fall colours and also enjoy good food.
For one of the limited options in Killarney, the food was superior, the ambiance was nostalgic and the service was extremely prompt and courteous. I would highly recommend going out of your way to dine here.
Food was delicious and service good, within the restrictions of Covid.
We weren’t as impressed with the formal dinner menu/food as breakfast and lounge menus/food.
The food was outstanding. We had four meals at the lodge and each one was scrumptious. There was a nice variety of food on the menu. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.
As a diner, the service and food was great, and the reservation system was simple and easy. For people who visited there, paying system was little bit confusing, but not so complex. It just needs some explanation.
Food was amazing! Our server didn’t let us know about the daily dinner specials unfortunately, condiments came about 10 min after we got our meal. But the food was delicious in the dining room. Make sure you make a reservation because it fills up quick.
Although the food was excellent (local trout), the service was poor. Spilled food on the table, miscommunications around wine choice, not helpful with recommendations.
Great place to eat, wonderful service and our food was delicious!
We were really impressed by the bar area. The dining area is really dated and does not have great ambience. We had some good meals (flank steak, rib eye, salads, eggs benny) and some so so meals (duck, french toast, nachos).
Room were clean and mattresses were comfy. Overall really happy with the stay.
Delicious food delivered by helpful and friendly servers
Regular middle class guy here. I ordered the most expensive entree I've ever ordered that night, a ribeye for more than $60. We'd just come off a week-long canoe trip, was very much looking forward to this treat. When it came, it was not hot at all, in fact, just this side of cold. Also, I'd ordered medium rare, but it was definitely rare.
Under normal circumstances these are small things, but when I pay that much I expect exceptional food. It wasn't exceptional.
In non-COVID times I travel a lot in the Arctic, and I can get better food and better value in Nunavut restaurants than my family received that night.
The wait staff were great, the ambience was great as well. In all other respects, Killarney Mountain Lodge delivered.
Didn't know that there was a meal plan but very nice dinner. It was a bit expensive for breakfast
Lovely scenery. Staff were nice. The cabins were a bit on the bare side considering the price we paid - no wifi, no fridge.
Love this place. Always enjoy going back every year.
Everything was very nice, location, food, room. The only issue was when checking in the lady receptionist kept us waiting 15 minutes without a greeting or eye contact while she was booking someone over the phone. She was the only one there too. Maybe some training will help 😊
Best part of the stay was the view and friendly, energetic staff. The Lacloche room has nosiey stair well, doors that slam, no AC, and no WIFI. Food was very expensive.
We had three meals during our stay at KML, two breakfasts and one dinner. All the food was top quality. Omelettes for breakfast were fluffy and done to perfection, so was the eggs benedict. Steak and pad thai for dinner was also perfect. Wait staff was busy by still had time for chit chat and were pleasant and helpful. Favourite dessert was orange creme brule. It was smooth and crispy on top. Great way to end the meal.
Great experience. Fish n chips was “ok” not sure about breading but tartar, coleslaw, and fries were great. Brittany was great.
Lovely atmosphere. Will come again
NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE THOUGH. Tried calling to discuss reservation and could not get through 6 times
The food was great and our server, Amy, was outstanding!!!
Both our servers were very attentive and friendly, the manager Erin was Amazing.
I would highly recommend the pate and the scallops.
Couldn’t get a better venue!
The Lodge is a lovely spot with a special experience to offer guests. Unfortunately, we were there at the end of the busy season so staffing was short and many of the menu items were unavailable. I am certain it is a terrific staff and operation during peak times. Everyone was very friendly and accommodating.
The food was fine. The server Courtney was very nice. The wine by the glass choice was crummy. Very limited. But probably best place for miles
As part of the celebration for my wife’s 60th birthday we booked a 3 nights stay at Killarney Mountain Lodge on the Canadian Plan which includes breakfast and diner daily. We had a truly all around enjoyable experience. Our room in the Covered Portage building was large, very clean with an excellent king bed and comfortable pillows with a walk out overlooking the channel. The staff were very attentive and friendly throughout the complex. Facilities and events offered numerous options for relaxation and excitement. Our favourites included the sunset sail on Stormy Night, the Crack hike in Killarney ProvincialPark, diving off the dock into the channel, listening to live music in the Carousel Lounge and choking with a book poolside. Meals were delicious with excellent choices. Food presentation and quality exceeded our expectations. For an upscale northern experience we would highly recommend Killarney Mountain Lodge for a couples or family getaway.
Our server; Andres was the best waiter we’ve ever had in the 10+ years we’ve been going for dinner there
Exceptional food in a lovely setting. An evening to remember thanks to the care and attention of our KML hosts.
Great atmosphere and nice and quiet on opening weekend.
Made a reservation on Open Table.
Arrived for dinner to find out Killarney Mountain Lodge is closed for the winter!!!
Had the pasta special - it was a squash ravioli in a rose sauce. Seriously, the sauce tasted like cheese wiz. Not sure if many of you remember cheese wiz, if not, it isn’t pleasant. The prices were exorbitant for what it was. I have no problem paying for good food. Unfortunately, it wasn’t good. It didn’t even come close to good. The place is banking on the fact that there are only a couple of places to eat at when you are there, since it is a 40+ km drive into Killarney.
Dinners were fantastic. Service was a bit spotty at times. Lovely wait staff, but not the most efficient. The Chefs Dinner was well worth it. A load of fun and good food. Their wine cellar leans to California wines, so it is a matter of taste.
We’ve been going to Killarney Mountain Lodge for about 15 years I hope they don’t lose the lovely ambiance we’ve enjoyed over the years with the modernization & expansion the food is superb using local fish and imported meats The addition of wine cellar is nice. The desserts were very tasty . We hope to return in the fall which is our preferred time .
Our overall experience at Killarney Lodge was really nice it was our first time and we decided to try somewhere different up North for our 1 year wedding anniversary. I would definitely come here again as it's a really cute place . Being on the lake was really nice and our room was awesome , we had the king suite with a lake view . The room was really nice and spacious and very clean , the bed was ridiculously comfortable and I definitely had an amazing night sleep here . There isn't a TV but that didn't bother us as we weren't there to do that however if we felt like watching a movie We just watched Netflix on our phone . We were able to go kayaking as this is complementary when you stay as well as visit the Provincial Park and go to the beach there . If you're a coffee drinker it is quite expensive especially if you go to curds and whey I believe it's about $5 for a large coffee my husband opted to just walk down the street 2 minutes to the corner store and get a K-Cup coffee instead. You are able to take a helicopter or a plane to this Resort it was kind of cool watching them come in and out however this wasn't often so it didn't affect our stay at all . We especially loved swimming off the dock in the lake and tanning on the dock. We also enjoyed our stay by the heated pool. Our dining experience here was great. We got the breakfast and dinner meal plan when we booked and we feel that it was worth the money. You got to choose what you wanted off of a menu and 18% was added to check out at the hotel. The service was a bit slow but it was obvious that they are understaffed. That being said, our waitresses were lovely and you could see them husseling. The wait time for our meals didn't impact our experience. My only feedback would be more wine choices per glass as a lot of options were bottle only. The menu was diverse and creative. My steak wasn't cooked medium or medium rare, more on the well done as I'm sure it kept cooking before it got to me.
Another enjoyable meal at KML. Saturday evening Prime Rib special. Great Value. Tender , succulent beef.
The KML salad is extremely good.
Amazing setting with unique service. Most servers from other areas. Great to hear their stories.
This was one of my best vacations. We met people from all over the world. The food was amazing, wonderful staff, beautiful scenery. I will definitely be back.
Great ambiance but the service and speed of food delivery needs improvement.
This the third least than stellar dining experience I have had at Killarney Mountain Lodge. It is a shame because the setting and the Lodge itself is beautiful. Service is slow because of a shortage of staff. Again I could forgive that if good was worth the wait. Not so. Last we sent back both entrees.
Excellent Food in a very nice resort setting. A great escape from camping at the Provincial Park while the food and service is outstanding.
