Thanksgiving buffet. It was good food and the service was ok. Had reservation for 4:30, took 15 min to get seated. Lots if food to choose from, desserts etc. overall it was ok.
Waited for almost half hour for our "reservation"- which is unmanageable with young children! Service was beyond slow (took 25 mins for a glass of wine). Food was wrong (ordered spaghetti with meatballs- they forgot the meatballs then we didnt even get them until we were done with our meal- and they just sent out a small bowl with some gross bare meatballs, no sauce or anything to help the presentation). Other meals were mediocre at best. Our bill for a family of 5 (2 adults and 3 kids) with 1 glass of wine and 1 beer was $100. I could not believe what a terrible experience we had. But it's the only place for dinner in the hotel (except the famous chop house) so we basically had no choice. Go anywhere else but here! Seriously, ANYWHERE. Don't waste your money.
My daughter got sick off the food even after giving her left overs, 2 meals were forgotten then given to a little later, and everyone food was cold. Also staff was rude
This was not up to the standard that this restaurant was known for, the server Zoran? had to be found even by me to get the check. We sat there waiting for quite awhile, I found him near the front playing on his phone.
McDonald's puts out a better burger.
Our waitress was so nice and made the evening tolerable. I get that it's a resort but the food was luke warm and devoid of flavor. My NY strip was mushy and you can tell nothing is fresh. It's worth the 15 minute drive into town.
Their breakfast buffet is really good along with their salad bar but the food that you order off their menu is awful. We tried several different items as a family of 6 and no one was satisfied with the meal they ordered.
I would be hesitant to recommend. My friend and I were there and our kids enjoyed the shrimp. My friend and I enjoyed our steaks and drinks. However all the sides were over cooked or nothing special. I was expecting more for the price.
My Father commented, "every bite is better than the last."
Great food & service. Nicely done! Would highley recommend Chula Vista to anyone.
We went there the night before Easter for our Easter dinner. My son ordered cheese curds for an app. The cheese was cold and they looked and tasted like they were cooked in a microwave, my mom and I ordered the prime rib special and both of our meats were over cooked and sides were cold, and my husband and son ordered a pizza (which they are known for cooking in their stone fireplace) pizza had no flavor and crust was barely cooked and cheese not melted all the way. Very disappointed in this $150 dollar dinner
Nice place to eat at with friends and family. Yummy food overall, except the salmon was a bit dry. Great margaritas.
