Kid Rock’s Made in Detroit restaurant is a reflection of one of Detroit’s most loyal and successful native sons. Our menu is a mix of classic Detroit and Southern-influenced dishes, along with traditional comfort foods and bar fare. Several dishes were developed from the Kid Rock family recipe book having been delivered and handwritten by Mrs. Ritchie herself.
With an entrance off Woodward Avenue, you can come in for lunch or dinner seven days a week - or enjoy brunch Saturday & Sunday mornings.

We showed up for our reservation and everything was put away and nobody was there. A manager came to the door when we were knocking and said "We are closed." We tried to explain that we had made a reservation, but he did not seem to care. We had walked a good distance from our car to the restaurant in the snow, so we did not appreciate the fact that we were not able to eat there, despite having a reservation confirmed for that time. They need to have someone check to make sure people are unable to make reservations during times they close early.
We had a 6:30 reservation and were seated immediately, ordered right away, but it took 55 minutes to get our food. Food came, some was overcooked and the other was cold. It was a busy night and the server was good and apologetic. Manager did comp half the bill. So they tried to make up for the mistake. Will give it another try. Bit pricey, drinks were more than our entrees
Made reservation because was at LCA for an event. Security check point person was gruff and rude. Time from seated to placing order was acceptable. At that time, we were told it would be 40 minutes until food arrived which would be tight before the show but manageable. However, 55 minutes later, no food. Then 3 of 7 meals came out. Then 3 more. My meal did not get served until 10 minutes later. In the meantime a random appetizer was offered. We requested checks so we could pay and not miss show. Orders on the checks were mixed up. Waitress said that restaurant was unprepared as LCA does not inform them of events. What! If you are running a restaurant then it is your responsibility to ask LCA about event schedule so you can adequately staff your restaurant. Will not eat there again.
The only problem we had was that I needed to drop off a family member who uses a cane and can't walk long distances. There was not "in front" of restaurant drop off as snow was blocking the only entrance. She had to walk in snow to the corner which had her hurting and out of breath. That corner was packed with Uber and Lyft drivers who were rude as I was not moving any further and had to wait for her to make it to the car.
I know this is a facility concern and not your establishment but it did make a great experience turn sour on the drive home.
Everything was great. The food was delicious and the service wonderful. We also ate there for lunch plus the dinner meal.
Drink prices were over the top, especially for drinks served in small plastic cups.
Decent food but expensive! Our server was very nice and attentive.
The food was just bad. 2 people got the kid rock burger and it tasted bland, burnt, and like it was just a frozen patty. Very disappointing. I got the steak sandwich, nothing special, over cooked. The only thing I can say I enjoyed were the fries. Everything was incredibly overpriced, although understandable because of it being located in the Little Caesar’s Arena. And the name of Kid Rock in its name. But $5 for a small cup of pop is stupid. Tried this place and will not be returning!
The food and Bloody Mary bar was excellent! Absolutely loved the Eastern Market Omelet and their potatoes are out of this world! Great cooking!
The service was great and the food was excellent. We happened to be there on a night with no game or concert so it was nice and quiet. I'd definitely recommend it and I will be going back.
Service was terribly slow. Food was mediocre. Very expensive for barfare.
Outstanding restaurant. Service was great food was really good and staff was very friendly. It was worth the drive from Brighton to have Brunch there before the Lion game.
Only negative comment is that I had been given a 10:45 am reservation by OpenTable and the restaurant didn’t open until 11:00 am
We made a reservation for brunch and they were closed.
Great service and the Kid Rock burger was delicious!
Horrible food and even worse service. Gave away our reservation and we had to sit on the “patio” as a result. Drinks are expensive and tiny. Boo.
Went here before a concert. Had made a reservation on OpenTable so no wait. Great beer selection and mixed drinks. Service was quick, pleasant and got our appetizers and meal as ordered. My ribeye was excellent.
Loved the Bloody Mary bar which has many choices to add to your beverage. Sandwiches were large & salads were large with plenty of the ingredients as listed on the menu. Server was a little "nervous" with our party of 10. Not as much memorabilia as I would have thought from Kid Rock. Solid experience.
Makoyia was excellent, attentive but not interested. Burnt ends recommended. The salads are sharable.
Great open space restaurant/bar at LCA. We were there on a non-event night so it wasn't crowded or overly noisy. My ribeye steak was well prepared. My partner had the country fried chicken which he said was moist and tender.
Absolutely loved the shrimp, grits & gumbo. Such an amazingly comforting meal that was full of flavor and depth. So good😋
really diverse and interesting menu. Comfort food but healthy options and out of the ordinary preparations. Just house wines but some really good beer selections and some creative drink selections.
We went here before the Bruno Mars concert for the first time and we LOVED it! Downhome cooking and loved the cozy feeling and MUSIC they were playing while we were there.
Food was good as usual. Portions are generous. Great deals during Happy Hour. We were disappointed that wine is no longer available by the bottle. They basically offer a red blend and white blend by the glass. Too bad.
Food is well prepared and you get a good size portion for the price.
Restaurand/bar is a modern style - very nice. Food choices were good, some better than others.
McClures fried pickles were very good. Good beer choices. Would probably go back.
Food was all great...especially the Mac& Cheese! Super cool decorations makes the ambiance really fun!
Good food. Will go back
Fried green tomatoes were fabulous! Our other two guests also loved their entrees. Bummer they were out of corn bread at 5:30 on a Tuesday, the night of the Taylor Swift concert. They forgot to take it off my bill, twice. But, server was super friendly and overall experience was great. It was my second visit and I will return! Hostess was also super nice as was manager who came over to apologize for being out of corn bread.
Went with a party of 8 but we were waiting FOREVER until the manager came over and told us there was a 'computer glitch' and our order never went in. she offered to pay for dinner and would rush it, but we were already running to get to the concert. We waited, food came relatively quickly at this point, yet we still got a bill for $80 for the drinks. The right thing would have been to pick up the whole bill, but whatever.
When we arrived, they said they had no record of the reservation. Thankfully, we were still seated quickly. The service was atrocious, it took forever to get drinks, and we had to literally flag down our server to get refills. The food took about 40 minutes to arrive, and some was wrong and sides were missing or cold. They comped the meal that was wrong, but the server tried to make excuses that “they aren’t used to being busy.” The food is delicious, but the service and disorganization makes me not want to return.
So glad I made a reservation. Went just before ELO concert. Very busy. Great food. good drinks.
645 reservation got us seated at 7.
Waited 15 for our waitress another 10 for our drink order
Out of the fried chicken
Burnt ends chewy and not burnt
Chicken wings were underdone /rubbery because they weren’t fully done
Not worth the $
The food was good and our waitress was great. If you are there on a concert night I suggest reservations. Unfortunately we had reservations but the young lady taking care of seating “forgot us” and we ended up getting seated after everyone else was seated. I noticed this after the seating area was empty. Not good. Also allow enough time for dinner. Our food took over a 1/2 hour before it was served. Give yourself ample time.
It's right at Little Ceaser Areana, so great for events there. We made reservations several weeks in advance but were seated in the concourse area outside the restaurant. And that was 2 hours before the ELO
Concert! Food was good but it took nearly an hour to get it. Drinks were good, prices fair.
Fantastic food and service!! We had a big party and loved every minute of it. Cool place with great food and drinks!!
Very cool place. Our party was the only one there so we had great service & were able to stay there as long as we would like! Would definitely come back!
Everything was amazing. I recommend the honey hot wings and the spicy onion rings.
I made a reservation for 10 people. 2 hours prior to the event, I let the manager know that I would have at least 20 people. The manager accommodated my late request by moving our group to the lounge area, which was very comfortable and a perfect venue for our group to socialize in. The manager was very helpful, staff was very attentive, and the food was terrific. Several different staff recommended appetizers when I asked, and their recommendations were excellent. Love this place! I will be back for sure, probably with a larger group.
Had an awesome time! Staff took great care of us. We were not there before/after a game, and I can imagine a place like that would be a lot of fun! The staff was incredible. I would highly recommend this to anyone in the area.
