Located next to a beautiful beach, we are a vibrant and cozy place to enjoy modern Japanese cuisine from our enthusiastic and companionable team members.

We accept reservations online for up to 6 guests, with a seating time of 2 hours. We encourage guests after a reservation for 1-6 diners to make their bookings online. 15 minutes grace time to all bookings. Please note that our online booking system reflects real time availability at the restaurant.

For groups of 7 guests or more, please contact our reservations team on 0411 306 208 or info@kicho.com.au. Please note that groups of 7+ guests are required to dine on a set menu.

We take enquires for large group booking or catering requirements.

Dietary requirements are welcome and can be accommodated with advance notice. We recommend you let us know at the time of booking to ensure we can meet your needs.

Each Teishoku set is carefully curated to offer a balanced and satisfying meal experience, blending flavors and textures harmoniously. Our regular menu also awaits, ready to fulfill every petron's culinary desires with their favorite dishes.

Nice food but a little underwhelming. Tasty but could have been better. Told to order everything together and would come out staggered. This didn’t happen so everything within 10 mins. Very noisy table beside us which is always hard in a small restaurant

Chef Luke made an extra effort to ensure my food was celiac safe. He highlighted all GF options for me to chose from and made some alterations that he offered to do. Excellent Japanese regardless, but that made me feel comfortable and I will be going back. The food is amazing and presented perfectly. A great local restaurant that is getting a name for itself (no surprise) so BOOKINGS are a must.

Relaxed dining experience with good service and food. The Kingfish Crudo was delicious. Fresh and yummy interpretation of both tempura prawn and vegetable gyoza. Will definitely dine here again

The Feed Me menu is amazing value for such high quality food. Public holiday surcharge hurt a bit on Easter Saturday though!

Wonderful food. Different from your usual Japanese restaurants. Beautifully presented. Wine and cocktail list varied and reasonably priced. Highly recommend.

Absolutely fantastic food from an unassuming restaurant located in a quiet neighborhood, among the best in casual Japanese diners. Their temaki rolls are a must order, as well as their seasonal specials. We also ordered 2 mains, the miso marinated fish and yakiniku, and they taste absolutely amazing. The ambience gives off a non pretentious atmosphere, with staff being very friendly and helpful as well.
