The restaurant was not very busy so we got very attentive service. The food was very good. I was slightly irritated by some of what appeared to be the owners listening to Youtube videos at anearby table. But otherwise a very nice place to go

It was a Mothers Day dinner so I will excuse the babies and toddlers present in the restaurant. However it wasn't particularly busy but it still took 20 minutes for someone to take our order. I do not drink alcohol but was stunned that my only options for a soft drink was either orange or pineapple juice! I was happy to be given a vegetarian menu and ordered dishes I have not eaten before. Not being a lover of all things spicy I always look for the chilli signs in a menus to gage if it is edible for me but as there were no chili pepper signs next to the things I ordered I assumed all would be well. This was not the case. We waited for almost an hour to be served. Other patrons had received starters and mains, while others had mains and deserts and had left before we received our food, and when it came it was so spicy that I couldnt eat any of what I ordered. No one returned to ask how the food was and as it had taken so long to arrive, I daren't request anything else. I ate my plain chipati and my mothers plain boiled rice and thought I'd make up for the lack of dinner with a tasty desert. When our plates were finally cleared the waiter commented on the full bowls of food and I explained that they were too hot for me to eat. He didn't seem at all bothered that I hadn't been able to eat anything and cleared the plate. I asked for the desert menu and the options weren't great but i was desperate to eat something so I waited for the waiter to return. Before I knew it the restaurant was empty and the waiters were setting up the tables for the next day. No one offered to take our desert order so we asked for the bill and left. I can't comment on the food as I paid but ate little. I wouldn't return and I think that would suit the waiters just fine as they weren't bothered when we were there.

If you are looking for better than average Indian food in Croydon then look no further. You will pay a little more than a standard Indian but it's worth the premium. The menu is varied so there should be something that appeals to all, service is good. Only slight criticism is maybe portion sizes - normally one naan does the two of us but we ordered a second. We had an early Saturday evening booking but the restaurant was virtually full by 7:30pm which can only be viewed as another point in the retaurant's favour.

Food very good, service intermittent, a bit pricey, could do with more selection on the menu.

We had a very enjoyable evening and were well looked after by the staff (without them being intrusive). Food and wine were both of a high quality. I have been to the Khyber before and I am sure I will return.

The food here seems to get better every time. It was well-spiced but not too spicy, and it certainly impressed my friend!

Food was nice. Waiter was a bit strange. OK va;lie as we got £15 discount. Thought it was a bit cheeky to put 10% service change on to bill

Been coming to this restaurant for quite a few years now and it has never let us down. The food is always superb and the service excellent with a friendly atmosphere - we are always made to feel special. The menu changes regularly but manages to keep many of the "old favourites" and ensures all tastes are catered for. Definitely the place to come for an excellent food experience.

The food is amazing - compliments to the chef. My partner and I go to the Khyber occasionally as a treat and we love it every time:-)
