Trendy vibe. Interesting menu. Good food. Attentive wait staff.
Lot of flavors of Asia. Close enough.
The food was very disappointing. Appetizers were fine but the mains lacked taste (pork belly) and chicken was so dry. Very bummed! We’d been looking forward to it.
I really wanted to like this place. The outdoor seating was nice but there was a very strong smell not sure from where that wasn't pleasant. The pho was decent but pricey. The rice market bowl was difficult to eat because it wasn't served in a bowl but all separated in different compartments on a plate and rice came saran wrapped in a basket. There wasn't really a good place to mix all the ingredients together.
Worst food in restaurant week. Understaffed with them giving you a simple sauce 30 minutes late and none of their ingredients are fresh. We ordered one beef and one fish dish and both were chewy. So we're the prawns. The only good thing was the dessert and the cocktail. They were very rude later on social media when I told them their food wasn't good. If you want to spend your money and get treated badly even after you are done, go for it!
Have eaten here many times before pandemic. Food is always good. But too rushed. All good come out with in 10 minutes of ordering. Too many plates on the table - felt very rushed. Little time to really enjoy the experience.
We came for the restaurant week but ended up ordering from the regular menu. Food was quite delicious but the papaya salad was way too spicy. Our server said so when he brought it to us. He could have told us before we ordered. What's worse is the same, smaller portion papaya salad came together with the spare ribs that we orded per his recommendation. Not a great service.
One of my favorite restaurants in Tribeca, provides the optioality to share numerous small plates or go for large plates.
Very disappointing Restaurant Week dinner menu, with no effort to showcase the restaurant's cuisine to draw new customers. Entre: a tasteless piece of fish with white rice adorned by one cilantro sprig. It screamed for some sauce. Dessert: a scoop of ice cream or sorbet. Appetizers were more interested but minute portions. Just no effort and definitely not worth the $39.
Nice place and good food. Great service and also kid friendly place 👏👏
Fish was horrible for restaurant week. Tasted inedible and extremely old/about to go bad. Would never return to this restaurant.
Fantastic restaurant week lunch menu!
Food quality and service weren't as they used to be.
Horrible service and bad food! We went for restaurant week and the portions were incredibly small and the quality of food was poor. We waited more than 1 hr for the entree, and when we complained to the manager we were told “If you want to leave just leave”.
Great spot and great outdoor dining ( and indoor)
We went for restaurant week and the dishes were very disappointing. The fish and the beef were both over cooked and had little flavor. The ambiance was nice but we didn’t enjoy our meals.
I love the different spices and flavors of SEAsian food. The portions were small but I like that they were not huge. It was busy so I expected service to be slow but it seems that a lot of servers are engaged at each table so it seems it was easy to lose track of who issuing served or not. We weren't in a hurry so it wasn't an issue but if you have an engagement afterwards, I would consider this.
LOVE KHE-YO. Probably my 6th visit and I always wish I could eat more so I can try more things. My favorite standards:
- crispy coconut rice
- lemongrass chicken sausage
- sticky rice and sauces
- papaya salad (HELLA SPICY)
Above average neighborhood restaurant. Good food and good vibes.
We had a great evening at Khe Yo and it was enjoyed by all of us. The food and service was great! It surpassed my expectations and it was a great night!
Wonderful experience here. Great food friendly staff I would definitely go back here for another date night or a night with friends!
Fantastic. Loved our server she was friendly and knowledgeable. Food was delicious - still craving the mushroom banh mi. Loved the whole vibe ! Definitely coming back!
The restaurant is exceptional. Staff are friendly. Ambiance relaxed and welcoming. Food delicios and creative, including presentaion. Like all NY restaurants, short staffed but Would definitely return.
No one asked about our special occasion celebration though.
The food and service was excellent. Flavors were very robust and authentic.
Cozy date night spot. Food was great!
The food was disappointing. Certain dishes had good flavor, others didn’t. Some accompaniments to dishes were poor, for example the papaya salad’s pork rinds were rock hard. Extremely disappointing for the high prices.
Portions were so small - too expensive
A small bowl of rice was $5- for one portion
Yummy Lychee cocktail, Prawns with noodles, pork curry soup, Brussel sprouts- great flavors!! Great service!!
Our waiter was wonderful. Excellent outdoor seating area. Enjoyed the drinks. Unfortunately the food was variable. Several dishes were quite good while others were not.
Amazing experience. Indoor is comfy, however I enjoyed sitting outside better. Kitchen closes a bit after 9 pm, so be sure to get there before. Be sure to ask about the level of spice.
My family and I enjoyed the food, appreciated the great and kind service, and loved the ambience. Will definitely come back.
The food was fantastic! We were seated immediately, our server was very responsive and we literally had our food served withing 10 minutes of ordering!
Everything tasted fresh, and we could recognize the flavor of the ingredients, which is unique nowadays.
Highly recommended, we will be back.
The tuna starter was excellent as were the oxtail pho and the chicken. The sauce on the ginger shrimp was too salty and strong. The main problem was that the main courses took forever to come out. When they came, only 2 arrived and it took a while for the third to arrive. Perhaps because it was a Friday night and they had so many tables. They were clearly overwhelmed.
Enjoyable dinner with friends and colleagues. Thanks
This is the third time I've been to Khe-Yo in about a month. Once for brunch, and twice for dinner. I ate outside every time. The restaurant is super accommodating of largish parties (5, 7, 9), the food is excellent and inventive, but be sure to check with the waiter if you are sensitive to spicy foods! The location on a quiet street in Tribeca was sort of magical. I've already recommended Khe-Yo to friends: brought a group of 9 last night! I will definitely return!
We ate brunch outside on a lovely June day. It was warm, but not too hot. The table was shaded and there was a plexiglass barrier between us the the next table. Service was attentive but not overbearing, and the food was excellent. Very tasty and interesting. My daughter who had spent a semester in Thailand LOVED the sticky rice. Good vegetarian options. Would definitely go here again.
First time going and will be back. Fantastic food and service
Always delicious, great quality and well-seasoned. I just miss the sticky rice and bang bang sauce!
Food comes out fast. Service is nice. Portion is pretty small.
Had dinner on a friday night with my adult daughter, sat outside as it was a nice night
Food was outstanding, we mixed it up a bit and shared everything! They did not disappoint!
Service was ok, nothing noticeably wrong nut nothing but not outstanding. I willl however return and give them a good recommendation
