Khazana Indian Bistro
The menu is extensive and nice. The atmosphere is nice. Sadly service was awful. The entrees came out first then the appetizer and one appetizer was never given.
Place was dead and super quiet. Our server spoke only in whispers w a mask and we couldn’t hear or understand him. He had no idea what drinks they had and asked us how to make them. Service was very slow and ambiance was depressing. Far cry from the previous Indian place that was here before. Food was average, small portions of the meats. Naan bread was best thing there.
We had made a reservation for a special event over a week ago. Their website said they were open, and we even got a confirmation text in the morning for our reservation. But when we arrived, to celebrate multiple birthdays, there was a sign on the door saying they were closed and “sorry for the inconvenience”.
They didn’t even attempt to contact those of us with a reservation to let us know that they had to close for the evening. Their website was not updated with any sort of notification nor was there a voicemail or message on the phone when we tried to call. Truly disappointed and we were left standing in a parking lot trying to figure out where to go to dinner to celebrate. This was our first time attempting this restaurant based on multiple positive reviews. So far, not impressed.
The service was horrible. The food was very oily and not great. The internet was down when we went to go pay. Not a great place.
The waitress was so rude and has no business being in the service industry. Food took so long to get to the table. And dishes came almost 20mins apart. It’s was horrendous the service and for that lady to have attitude like that is unacceptable. Will never go back
We were there for a birthday lunch and the owner was there and he was very friendly. Also the food and service was very good especially the mango lassi. We really liked the location and there is parking in the shade in the lot next door.
Excellent food served very appetizing great looking bar also.
The decor and ambience was a bit plain, but, honestly, that's not what I go to Indian Restaurants for -- I'm there for the food! The food was delicious and the flavors so authentic and rich. The waitstaff were friendly and courteous, though a bit disorganized. Again, though, don't let that stop you -- the food is delicious and it's great to have such wonderful Indian food for such a good price close to home.
Service was slow; food was unappealing.
Food was delicious! Underwhelmed with how dark and gloomy the restaurant is. There was only one server. He seemed completely overwhelmed. Food took awhile. Having said that we will be back because the food was delicious.
Food was phenomenal. I’ll be back!
Both food and service were excellent, and I will definitely be returning.
great food....atmosphere ok, friendly staff, accomodating
Good food, very tasty. Large quantities. Would be better if they used less food color.
It was good
We have heard this is great. Reservations made but they were closed??? Will try again!
Excellent, friendly service and AMAZING tasty food!
Our food was excellent and our order was taken by the owner who shared his enthusiasm. He renovated the restaurant extensively and incorporated a luncheon buffet wall in order to encourage diners to discover Indian cuisine. A good idea And when they taste the well prepared food that we enjoyed, they will return! The loss of one star is due to the apparent inexperience of the wait staff. Our entrees were brought to the table before we finished appetizers; no server came near us during the meal, not even check to see if we needed water replenishment- and we did! They were very pleasant in all interactions but seemed shy in our presence. The good food in Khazana deserves an enthusiastic wait staff- not just an enthusiastic owner. Perhaps they just need more practice and confidence. Strongly recommend that you give this place a try. You will like it!
Enjoyed the food, especially the vegetable pakora appetizer. Place is a little difficult to find but worth it. Prices were very reasonable. Will definitely return next trip.
Would be great if you had more vegetarian options on buffet. All entrees were chicken.
Service was fantastic. Owner is passionate about his food and was awesome describing and recommending food. Food was good. Ambiance is casual.
Great food, BUT bad service and bad ambience (lots of dirty empty tables). My order was messed up multiple times by the waitresses (plural because we were served by few different people). However, I wasn’t even able to try to correct my order because no one would come back to check on it. The food however was great, so we just ate whatever was served to us.
I’m so glad I decided to stop by for dinner! This is the best Indian food I’ve had in a long time. I can’t wait to go back!
The restaurant was almost empty when we arrived We were seated in a large booth Just the two of us
The lady came over gave us water
Asked my son what he wanted
He prompted her towards me to give my order first She took my order and walked away I had to tell her my son also wanted food
She took his order and walked away
We were not asked if we wanted a drink Or any NaN bread Once again we had to ask someone
A gentleman server brought our drinks and the service went up 100 per cent
The food came Mine was buttered chicken The chicken was dry and tasteless
It was a treat for my birthday
The male server was wonderful but the female terrible
She came over a second time with water
Filled my glass and again ignored my son
I was looking for an e mail address for the restaurant to let them know after as I didn’t want to cause a scene at the restaurant but there wasn’t one
I would recommend BUT........the service has got to improve. Our table had to ask for condiments 3 times yet never received them. One dish came out 10 minutes ahead of the rest of the dishes for the entire group. The food was good but the prices are steep especially considering the atmosphere and the poor service. The prices they are charging demand outstanding service and they don't have that yet.
The staff is extremely friendly and outgoing but the requests still went unfulfilled.
Enjoyed it a bit more the first time but will go again!
We could not even get food served to us to review. Which is really a problem for an establishment that serves food.
After the initial difficulties of even finding the front door, we were led into a restaurant that tied for the worst ambience I've ever been subjected to outside of an Arby's in Barstow. It is possible that this restaurant has the worst lighting and atmosphere ever. The lighting is awful, and the atmosphere is cold, utilitarian, and glaring. God help the poor soul who brings his date to this place.
We walked in at 6:50, with a reservation at 7:00, but nobody ever asked our name. At least five of the finished and empty tables had not been bussed. After being offered a two-top in the very middle of the restaurant, the host offered to bus a better table for us. After we sat down, it took ten minutes just to get water, so when somebody finally showed up with a pitcher, (and naturally, 'apologies'), we took advantage of the opportunity to order right away. This was approximately at 7:00, maybe a couple minutes after.
A couple sitting two tables over had already ordered and were waiting for their food. It had now been 25 minutes since anybody came by our table. The host finally came over to their table and told them the restaurant was 'slammed' by large parties and take out orders. Despite this knowledge, no one bothered to tell US when they took our order that the kitchen was that busy and that the wait would be long for our food. We got up and left.
If you want to eat here, do it with your eyes wide open. Needless to say, I won't be returning.
Food was very delicious. We had the house special “butter chicken”. I will order this dish again because I enjoyed it so much. The owners are on site & made certain the customers were satisfied. Also, the ambiance is warm & inviting.
Food was delicious..so nice to have a tasty Indian restaurant in our neighborhood
