Very good food (as expected from the reviews), but also outstanding service and outstanding and fun presentation. Servers were attentive, but discreet, helpful in navigating the menu. The quality of the food was beyond reproach and all the items I tried had an original twist. The presentation was both classy, original and exciting and fun. There is no alcohol but that somehow does not detract from the experience and it is amply compensated by really good mocktails. Will go again until I try all the items on the menu!!
Went with two friends. Mixed and matched food
Excellent food and service will definitely be back
First-rate food--excellent, imaginative dishes with some brilliant variations on Pakistani/Indian cuisine. They're a bit overwhelmed by their success, so the service could use improvement. The dining room is very loud; there are a few tables outside that are quiet and very pleasant. The dishes are surprisingly moderately priced, but the few steak items on the menu are highest quality wagyu beef in large size and priced very high, though quite reasonable in comparison to standard steak houses. If you can manage it, the tomahawk steak (for two) is not to be missed--delicious and perfectly cooked. For religious reasons, they don't serve alcohol, but the have very imaginative "mock"-tails. We'll be back frequently to work our way up and down the menu!
Terrible service, we waited one hour for our food
The food was amazing. The noise level may have had something to do with the screaming child that the parent wouldn’t try to quiet.
Service was slow and inconsistent. Although something tells me this wasn’t the norm.
Exceptionally delicious food presented with care and forethought. Service was caring and care was taken not to interrupt our party’s conversation
Seems they were a little understaffed. Food was great.
The food is excellent. Similar to Indian food, but with some variety. The ambiance is so-so. It is probably best as a take-out restaurant. Definitely worth a try.
Service was hit or miss. The server needed more training. The chicken curry was much too salty.
Food and service were excellent! Unfortunately the couple next to us was letting their toddler watch the baby shark video on the highest volume ever and on repeat for the first half hour. That's not the restaurant's fault. It's just inconsiderate parents. I have kids too, but I make sure the volume is reasonable if I let my kids use the phone or give them headphones so they do not disturb others.
Overall it was as true to Afghan flavors as I could remember. The service was stellar and the head manager Stephanie was a 💎 gem.
The food was fine, but definitely over-rated given the recent Michelin recognition. Our $90+ ribeye was over-cooked (requested medium-rare and it came out medium-well with no pink at all), ordered garlic naan and received plain naan, goat cheese kulcha had great potential except all the cheese was concentrated in about 1/4 of the naan. The sauces with the papadum were all excellent. The butter chicken was nice. The rice was undercooked.
Food was phenomenal and the staff were kind, instructive, professional and prompt. It was an overall great dining experience and one we’ll add to our regular rotation. Food was very flavourful, esp the smoked beef. Would highly recommend.
Great cuisine and ambiance! Very close to Indian/Pakistani food in top notch Indian food in London!
Excellent food and wonderful experience trying new, delicious dining options!
Wonderful staff and hospitality! Food was delicious and so unique. Will definitely be coming back again soon!
Their pani puri needs a sweet element like a tamarind chutney. Everything else was good.
Good food, service and atmosphere. Food does take some time as it’s freshly made. Overall, would visit again.
I pick up take out from here pretty often, took the fam for dine in this time, everything was a hit. Even the kids in the family happily ate the kebabs and naan. The curries are great but we love the BBQ items best along with any of the desserts. You really can't go wrong.
Very cute decor, simple but appropriate for the dining experience. The waitress, I did not catch her name, was delightful teaching us about different foods that were on the menu and recommending things. Everything was great the only reason I gave it a four instead of a five was it’s very loud.
What a gem in the heart of the Fullerton foodie scene! This desi craft kitchen has many items that are unique to the palette, yet remind you of your heritage. Love the freshness of the food! Only thing is there is no alcohol, however all the mocktails are outstanding! A must go to for indian food!
We went for our Anniversary dinner
Food was so delicious
We ordered stuffed Naan, sloppy khan,
Smoked kabab and kadai chicken.
Everything was great
We would definitely go there
The food is bomb! The naan is the best I ever had and I’ve had a lot of naan lol
The service was good, there was a few time it was hard to get a hold of our server but service was kind and welcoming.
I love the presentation of all the dishes, great job!
Fantastic food. Some of the best Indian food I’ve ever had (Northern
I’m originally from South Asia so had high expectations. It was just ok in the end.
We had a fantastic meal! I highly recommend the Smoked Salmon Kabob! We ordered Pani Puri, Smoked Salmon, Dal Bhukara, Bhindi Masala, Lamb Rogan Josh, and Garlic Naan.
All their drinks are Non-Alcoholic! They do offer some nice mocktails!
FINALLY we found the best restaurant serving our traditional food. Everything was amazing from service to food. Highly recommend there chicken biryani. We have already booked for next weekend. This place is going to our fav spot for sure.
Wonderful food and service. The best Pakistani restaurant around!
Excellent food with a beautiful and artistic presentation. Will definitely be back.
Food and drink were excellent. I’m hesitant to critique the wait staff responsiveness in an era where everyone is short-handed. Yes, I’ve had better and faster service, but I don’t know what the restaurant can or should do differently. I would go again and recommend to others—especially the Butter Chicken Curry!
Excellent service, clean environment & friendly staff. An ultimate neighborhood gem !
Well prepared Pakistani food in a clean modern setting.
Food was decent. A bit over priced. Nice overall atmosphere.
This place is a Gem for desi food! Love the presentation of their food and always enjoy the ambiance! It is a must try when you are in the Fullerton area!! And of course don’t forget to order their mouth watering biryani and chocolate samosas!
Not what was to be expected based on the pictures posted.
FYI this is a non alchoholic dining experience - the mocktails are very delicious. Out of what was ordered the butter chicken was the best, and second best the curry shrimp.
Unfortunately Short staffed, long wait time for our food to be served. We had to ask for an additional drinks and flag down the waiter instead of being offered addition items/ drinks for the table. Establishment not following covid reccomdations or what is posted on Open Table regarding stated protocols.
Great food, atmosphere and service. Garlic naan was really amazing. The chicken dishes, smoked beef, smoked salmon -‘d desserts was all amazing. Highly recommended.
It was my first mother’s day! We drove an hour and thirty mins to celebrate this special occasion as we had heard about khan saab so much!!!
The food so nice, so creatively presented and loved how e everything had a story to tell! Loved the menu so much thought into it, I can read Urdu so Ioved it even more!
The non alcoholic bar was something so so attractive, we had three drinks and I feel they can be improved upon!
The food, we ordered sloppy khan, pani puri, cholay baturay, afghani kabob, beef kabob, naan and paratha. Also ordered gulab jamun and double ka tukda! We got some food to go as well for the next day since we drove so far! Ordered the biryani and nihari and everything was just fab! We also had chai and coffee!
It was just the two of us 😂 so you can imagine how much we ate!!! Aaahhh
The only thing was the service wasnt very efficient there was confusion in our order and that lead us to wait a lot! The people serving the food were good but waiting was not fun at all! Our drinks, food, dessert everything came late.
Another thing was the noise! Oh the noise it was too much, I would rethink the seating plan and maybe turn the music down!
Overall great stuff! So happy we went and enjoyed something so different and fun! I wish khan saab has a cafe in LA so we dont have to drive that far!!!
Recommend it 💯 they just need to improve on thr service and noise!
The food was AMAZING and the service was excellent! Will definitely be going again!
