Some of the best food I’ve ever been served at a restaurant. The waitress was very knowledge and nice. Would go back immediately. Gorgeous atmosphere, great music and the best food!
I give it a 15 out of 15. That is how many distinct items we have tried during the two trips we made. Everyone on the table liked (or loved) each of those 15 items - which is not a common occurence. That bundled with personable service and great atmosphere. It's already on our very slowly growing "repeat list" of restaurants in San Diego.
Excellent as usual!
Nice place and great food 👌🏼👌🏼
The service was great, the food was amazing and the decor/ambiance was awesome! Unfortunately we went later in the evening so it was crowded at the bar and waiting areas, but that’s to be expected. Great cocktails, but overpriced. Overall it was a great experience.
The drinks were great, yet the food was overrated, and the descriptions weren’t accurate. The service was pretty good also.
The quality of food and the exceptional service by Tom and Ian was off the chart outstanding! Highly recommend this one of a kind establishment!
Had a great time only thing is I didn’t know the menu changed at ten I would have had a earlier reservation but besides that everything was awesome definitely will be back for sure
Amazing food and service was outstanding!! Highly recommend
Outstanding food choices. This is definitely a foodies restaurant. Somewhat casual atmosphere- nice bar. I would go back.
The large plates as advertised were very small portions, the halibut was delicious, but the accompanying veggie and rice was very rich in a buttery sauce and it tasted like fish, rich and veggies don't taste great if they have fish juice on them. The tips were delicious but a very small portion. Not a good value over all. Dinner for two with two beers and two mixed drinks was $150
Great food and great ambiance! Super fun brunch place! Patio was lovely. Decor inside was amazing. Would definitely recommend to friends!
The service was outstanding. Steven was fantastic. His menu and drink recommendations were incredibly helpful.
Another memorable dining experience at Kettner. Creative small plates included lamb noodles, spicy shrimp, squab (seriously great) and hot oil salmon. Our waiter Tom brought us anniversary champagne to start the meal and let us enjoy as long as we wanted.
The food is just the Best And have Never been disappointed
Went here for date night and absolutely loved it!!!
Fantastic ambiance. Eclectic menu. Food was excellent.
Food offerings were really good. Had mostly an Asian fusion influence. Not crazy about their beer/wine offerings. Ambiance was nice too.
Two couples out for a nice dinner before the theater. Great food, ambiance and service. Our server knew we were going to the theater and was so great about food recommendations and making sure we were out on high! Great place!
Grabbed brunch, had their mai thai (fruity/sweet yet quality) and their ahi tacos (delicious with won ton shells)
Don’t let them seat you down stairs this place is happening upstairs only!!!
the beef baos were perfect! this is a great place to hold special occasions. will most definitely be back!
Everything was amazing! Really unique delicious flavors.
Overall a pretty disappointing experience. I think this place is a little too much hype and not a lot of substance. Appetizer- we order the tuna pizza and Szechuan noodles. Tuna pizza truffle oil seems to overpower the entire dish. Szechuan noodles were okay because you get the essence of Szechuan catered to American taste. We had the Beijing style duck. The entree took almost half an hour to arrive, and we twiddle our thumbs while it comes. When it arrived, all I got was an overdone, charred black, and not crispy duck. The criteria of Beijing style duck is- red and crispy duck. The server told me they braised the duck with soy sauce for 3 hours, but what they end up with is a disaster and an insult to a Chinese American who ate Beijing style duck for almost 21 years. I am so disappointed that I asked the server to return the duck. They asked if they can substitute the dish. We accepted and asked for the pork chop. It was a significantly better dish! The pork chop has a lovely pink, and the mash and veggies were well cooked. Everything made sense on that dish. The Budino was pretty enjoyable because they knew it was our anniversary. Overall, I think their menu add too much of the superfluous and not enough of substance. In trying to wow its customer with its edgy Asian fusion, they forgot the fundamentals of what makes food delicious. Drop the truffle oil, Kettner Exchange; fresh tuna is delicious on its own.
We went here to celebrate a birthday and had an outstanding meal with outstanding service!
Sitting upstairs with all the brightness creates a really nice ambiance/. The tuna pizza was an amazing appetizer and all the small plates were great!
But prices small portions. Great service, half filled drinks.
Our server Erica was amazing. She had the best recommendations and timed the small plates to come out perfectly. We had a large party and everyone said it was one of their BEST nights out.
Great food, too dark to read menu at our table, not a huge deal.
Excellent healthy and flavorful dishes
Kale salad, tuna pizza
And my favorite avocado toast
Great experience! Food is a bit rich, so I would recommend ordering one less small plate than you think you want haha. Drinks are incredible and the service was fantastic!
The server took over 10 minutes to acknowledge us, I think there was a mix up with sections, but once that was resolved, everything was great.
Impeccable! The ambiance, food, service, everything was spectacular. We went for our birthday brunch prior to an event at Broadway pier which was about a 15 minute walk from Kettner Exchange. My only wish was that they had more breakfast options for brunch, but that’s just my personal preference. We got the “McGriddle” (drool), the eggs Benedict, and mimosas. Everything was delicious. I will definitely return!
The food was delicious! Specially the desserts! Service was perfect!
I've always liked KE. My fourth time there, and live in northern Ca. Great vibe, and very good consistent food. It is one of my go-to places for dinner when in San Diego. They have valet parking, which is huge, since street parking is probably the biggest downside, but that goes for all the good restaurants in Little Italy. High on my list.
Trying something new I can be frustrating but thought we give Kettner Exchange a shot. It surprised us on how everything was great from the food choices, cocktails and ambiance. Although the surcharge is unfortunate and the prices are a little on the higher side for what you get. Overall it was a great experience
What a delightful experience! Awesome vibe and location, excellent, professional and friendly service and most importantly - the food was divine! I can't wait to go back
Loved everything from the food to the atmosphere to the service. Def a great find. And very recommendable. Great experience.
My family and I loved our dinner!! Thanks again
