Absolutely amazing! My date experience was something you would see in a movie! Excellent service, food is as amazing, great drinks! The atmosphere was smooth and elegant and the city view was indescribable! The manager recommended we walk around the top to see the full 360 view! It was breathtaking and a perfect way to end the dinner date! So romantic.. fell in love with this place! Highly highly recommend!

Christmas Eve Eve was fairly quiet. 7pm reservations, seated by the window very quickly. The night started with complimentary champagne, a nice touch, even if it wasn’t the best tasting. Our waitress was very nice, explained the small menu to us, including the drinks. Our drinks were good and came out fast. We ordered the tuna tartare, which unfortunately never came. Our two rolls, the king crab and spicy salmon were both delicious. Two rolls basically takes up the small table, too small if you enjoy ordering a lot of food. After we finished our rolls, we let the waitress know that our tartare never came out. Not a huge deal but at the prices I would have expected her to notice this, instead of us having to bring it up to her. She said okay she would take it off and that was it. No apologies. Everything was good, the views were nice, I will try it again I think, not rushing back though. Oh…something I forgot, the lamps at the tables by the window are way too bright. And if you have to sit on a sofa, good luck. The people who had parties of 4 looked hysterical. Two of the people are sitting on a sofa that sinks in, looks like a child’s sofa.

The service and quality of cocktails at the bar before we were seated was excellent. However, I felt that the service at our table did not match the prices. I ordered a nice quality half bottle of french wine prior to ordering dinner, which was recommended to me by our server, and we were finished with our meal before the bottle arrived, so we canceled the bottle. The server offered to me a complimentary glass of wine even though we were ready to pay our bill and leave, so we opted to stay a little bit longer - but the free wine was not good at all, and I usually like most dry whites (I never asked what it was). The menu is very limited (sashimi and rolls only) but everything was actually very good, and the food items came out quickly. We enjoyed one item in particular and decided to order it again, but we had to ask several times for the second order which they also seemed to forget until the 3rd request. Overall they seemed very unorganized, and to their credit, the tables were pretty full on a Saturday night, but it wasn't overly crowded at all, so perhaps they were short-staffed. The atmosphere was just okay - I couldn't put my finger on it - it's in an odd location in the hotel, but ask for a window seat and maybe you'll enjoy it more. But you'd do better to go to Monarch or Catbird if you are determined to dine inside the hotel.

Took my wife here for a graduation celebration, and it was a very nice overall experience. Stunning views of downtown Dallas from the 50th floor of The National building. Delicious sushi comes with a high price tag. The chefs have come up with some unique recipes on classics like the spicy tuna roll, to which they add some crispy shallot that takes it to a new level. The king crab roll is fantastic - but avoid the drawn butter, it doesn’t work. It’s definitely got a “Dallas scene” vibe to it so prepare to see some well dressed folks doing the social scene. Request a window table, and once again be prepared to spend a lot of $$$

Took forever to seat us when we had a reservation, and staff weren’t friendly. Sushi was good but we asked for a plain avocado roll for a child and they charged us $21 for it, which was more expensive than our salmon rolls. Not acceptable. They also rushed us out, horrible experience.

Started off having a Lovely evening. We were handed a glass of champagne in the lobby. My friend was recovering from a recent surgery and the elevator attendant allowed us to ride up the 49 floors by ourselves. We Loved the "speak-easy" set-up, and especially Loved the View from our seats. The japanese whiskey drinks were great, and although pricey, the sushi was also excellent. When we got back into the car, after a wonderfully special evening, I realized that I forgot to open the holiday gift my friend gave me, and that I left it next to my chair at the restaurant. I quickly hurried back and was initially told that no one saw the gift bag. I kept insisting it was there. Then 4 employees went into a back room, and one came out and said "this is all I found. Would you like this?", and handed me crinkled up tissue paper. I took it, and inside were 2 beautiful earrings. I kept shaking my head. Then the manager came out and said "would you like this too?" and handed me the empty gift bag. Then I was handed a folded up piece of paper on history of the artist and was told that was found in the trash also. When I got down to the car, my friend told me that the earrings were in a lovely gift box, that had obviously been opened with the gift removed. I called the manager the next day to find out how he handled the situation after I left. He told me in times of Covid that All items left behind are tossed away. There is no longer a lost and found. And if someone opened my gift and chose to keep it, that they were only keeping something that was thrown away. Such a beautiful restaruant. No customer relation skills. I will not return.

The atmosphere, food, and drink were top notch. The service was friendly and knowledgeable. Our server was never flustered, but she seemed to have one too many tables. There were times when we had to wait with empty drinks while she was serving other tables. This is not a big issue, but if she were slowed down any more it could have been. The views from the lounge area are great, but the space seems to be somewhat of an after thought. I think there is a great opportunity to turn it into a more proper lounge with cocktail service for pre and post dining. Anyway, it was a great experience overall, and I will definitely come back.

The food was amazing, service was solid but the seating is bad. The restaurant sits on the 50th floor so the view is nice and general ambience is very elegant. Back to the seating, if you’re lucky enough to score a table by the window, then no complaints. But if you’re in the general dining space of the small venue, you will share a small couch type seat with another party. The tables are tiny, like bistro tables and I was so sunken into the couch I wasn’t able to comfortably eat. There is no separation so unless you know the party next to you, there is no private conversation to be had. Also, it’s pretty expensive. We loved all the rolls we got so while the value isn’t great, we can’t complain about the food. I recommend an afternoon reservation, might not be as crowded.

The food and drinks were good but the service was terrible. They keep pushing us to be done and then had someone come to our table and asked us to release the table for other patrons. We had only been there for a little over an hour and were still ordering food and drinks. When I told the gentleman we were not leaving he got rude and asked me to let him do his job. Overall that killed the experience.

I called the manager of the restaurant and told him everything and he stayed not to worry because he will accommodate for me. I got there and we got seated within 5 minutes, took pictures, ate delicious food, and got a free dessert for my birthday. My birthday was special BECAUSE of Kessaku. Much love to their staff.

Definitely a more casual Friday night club/lounge experience than a fine dining sushi experience. The server mentioned that the bar was bit able to make a mock tails even after asking to substitute alcohol for soda water they said this was not allowed and the cocktails were set in recipe so alcohol has to stay in the drink. Seriously?! There was a full bar and for a person that doesn’t drink a mocktini or a signature mock tail (not just a glass of juice) really makes a fun experience for a patron that doesn’t drink. I was super disappointed at my first experience here.

This experience was disappointing. Preface: We lived in Manhattan for 15 years, and LA, and travelled to every major global city and enjoyed everything from taco trucks and picnic tables to 3 star Michelin restaurants. For the amount you pay here, the level needs to be WAY higher. You are greeted by a welcome glass of sparkling wine, but that’s where it ends. Start by taking an elevator to a different restaurant then walking up the fire exit stairs to get there. They didn’t seat us for 30 minutes even with a reservation. Bar service was slow and when we were finally seated, we had to close our check (instead of transferring, which took forever) and when we were shown to our table they made us carry our own bottle of sake and two poured glasses to our table. Our table top was about to fall off the pillar so we had to move tables, and despite being there already and an open table next to us, they didn’t want to seat us at the other table because other people were expected to be there. (Sorry but we were already there, so I just moved our stuff myself). Now the food. There are only around 15 items you can order. All VERY expensive for what you get. The sashimi fish quality was not only poor, but it’s the smallest order of sashimi I’ve ever received and it was $36 dollars (with basic fish / salmon). The food runner just dropped the food off and didn’t explain what was on the dish (even though we knew). Again for what you’re paying, this is an unacceptable start to a meal. We ordered 3 other rolls, which were again very expensive for what you get. Ive had the same rolls at a every major sushi spot in NYC for less money. Again the flavor of the rolls was basic, and the fish quality mediocre. The service was very slow for the small size of the restaurant and the limited items on the menu. Surprisingly slow. And the staff, from the front door to the servers to the food runners seemed to have never worked at this supposed level of a restaurant. Not recommended.
