Kenzo is a proud recipient of a 2018 Michelin Star and 2018 Wine Spectator Restaurant Award of Excellence.
Tremendous Kaiseki dining experience. The culinary depth and perfect combination of high grade ingredients is simply the best. Over the top service by the staff. Kudos to Sommelier Juan who took care of us.
Enjoyed the seabream and blue fin tuna the most👌🏼💯
Corkage was waived in lieu of purchase of a Kenzo estate bottle. That was nice✅
Thank you Kenzo for a momentous birthday dinner for my wife
The staff was extremely attentive the setting is peaceful and elegant. Definitely a traditional Japanese feel. The food was the real star from the starter to the dessert everything had its own flavor profile. I am definitely looking forward to our next visit.
What a perfect spot to celebrate out 10th anniversary. The food was exquisitely prepared and presented. The service was impeccable. So easy to see why Michelin would leave a trail of stars here! Stellar.
Very attentive to the diner experience and educating them on the food and history behind the food that they are eating. And enjoyable place to eat and experience new foods.
This place was amazing! One of the best dining experiences I’ve had!
Truly spectacular. Went on a weeknight, sat at the bar, and was 1 of 4 guests in the restaurant during my dining experience. Ambiance and music were perfect. Intimate, minimal, perfect attention to detail and very well curated jazz. Food and service were beyond my expectations. Kaiseki menus was well balanced, perfectly paced, and delicious. Highly recommended, an experience you won’t forget.
Kenzo Napa is a very unique dining experience. You thoroughly enjoy entrees that you have never tasted before in the United States or Sake that you possibly have never tried. The tiny ice fish offered are only available in January and February. They were delicious.
The menu changes with the seasons. I can’t wait to go back.
Good quality food and service, nice environment.
A good place for recommendations.
Fantastic, highly memorable gastro experience! Super inventive and unlike any other dining experience.
Kenzo is a beautiful serene space. The service was impeccable and the food was interesting and so flavorful.
Great service, sophisticated food, very clean and ambiance is perfect. Just sit back, savor the flavors of the food and enjoy every minute of it. It’s definitely an indulgence that is worth every penny.
Wonderful experience we were first to experience the new menu. The staff is so nice and it is watch food art. You feel like you are dining in intoned chef japan.
Beautiful place with food, service and environment.
Amazing- as always. Highly recommend.
Kenzo Napa provides stunningly creative Japanese cuisine truly deserving of their Michelin one-star award. Impeccable service delivers this wonderful food in a timely, peacefully paced manner. Of special note is that Kenzo produces their own wines at Kenzo Estate--tailored specifically to their cuisine. The paired tasting complements the food far better than any bottle choice for the evening.
Absolutely amazing food and impeccable service
Terrific!!! We celebrated 3 birthdays. One of my best meals of the year.
Great service amazing food.
no interaction between chef and diners. Wine stewart was very pushy to sell wine and did not appreciate it.
Menu was a lot less unique than a year ago. Thought I return to a very nice unique experience like the last time only to find a decline in uniqueness and creativity and overall service. Sorry to see a decline so rapidly. I would say that the food is now mostly run of the mill in type but very good quality.
The experience can be duplicated many establishments in SF Bay however for Napa it may be unique.
Chefs and wait staffwerevery knowledgeable and personable. Food was all Japanese ingredients and tasted fresh and high quality. We have been to Japan and the flavor we tasted at kenzo was only matched by that of Japan.
Amazing meal. Completely deserving of a Michelin star. Had the kaiseki with wine pairing. Exceptional. Service and staff are above and beyond what was expected. Had issues with flight times and the restaurant was accommodating. Really special experience.
Amazing food and service! Definitely on the pricer side.
Not worth its money. We went to another restaurant after spending 700 dollars, because we were hungry.
Simply amazing traditional Japanese experience. I went to The French Laundry, Meadowood and Kenzo on the same weekend and Kenzo stood out in its simplicity and taste!
Absolutely great place.
Everything was great! Thank you for making the dining experience so memorable. Highly recommended!
This is an amazing eatery for very authentic chef's menu ( kaiseki ). The menu is designed with meticulous attention to seasonal ingredients for a multi-course Japanese hatue cuisine dinner. All courses were beautifully plated, delicately prepared and exquisitely served. A must-try culinary experience!!!
Truly authentic Japanese. If that’s what you are looking for you will NOT disappoint but will be very satisfied. I must say it was a high end level even in Tokyo
Very minimalist , food was beautifully prepared and most courses were delicious. However seemed overpriced for what you received.
The food and service are amazing. The chef and staff are nice and kind. I told them that I don't drink tea at night and they changed it to decaf version.
This is our second time here. The food is just as excellent as the first time. The menu changes every couple of months. This is authentic Japanese Kaiseki(formal dining) course prepared by chefs from Japan. The dishes come out one at a time, each prepared meticulously with care and artistry. Simply, the food tastes great. Majority of the main ingredients come from Japan. If you have any questions, the chef will explain to you how the dish is prepared. The service is excellent. We definitely will dine here again.
Amazing fresh ingredients,
Delicious champagne, delicious original menu! Nothing I have experienced before.
Amazing experience. I paired with wine/sake and it was great! Pricey but worth it. Highly recommend
One word... FANTASTIC!
The meal was exquisite as was the wine. It was VERY pricey but worth
It is just a matter of time before you will have to wait for lottery reservations to find a seat at this restaurant. Why it only has one Michelin star is bewildering. I am not the only one who thinks that the Michelin guide got it wrong with issuing only one star. There are other Michelin restaurants in the area that have multiple stars that fail in comparison, in regards to cuisine and service. Unless you plan on traveling to Japan to dine at Ishikawa or Hyotei, trying to find a better kaiseki experience in North America would be a daunting task. The staff is exceptional. The food is unfathomable, dashi that is transcending when the aroma hits you; Wagyu that will move you to tears. No words can truly express how good this restaurant and experience is. Natsuko Tsujimoto created a disturbance in the force when she opened Kenzo, every bit worthy of Three Stars.
Birthday party! Very nice
Having read glowing reviews we tried Kenzo. The staff and service were on point. The tasting menu was satisfying and several courses were remarkable. Overall, I felt the tasting menu was a bit monochromatic, which, in their defense may be unavoidable when sashimi type courses are involved. I enjoyed our evening but would probably not return. Thirty dollar charge for 2 additional pieces of sushi. Very expensive. These prices are not my norm, so my standard may be hard to meet for me to justify the 600.00 bill for two.
