Ken's Steak House
You don't get much for the money and the service and atmosphere was not great. Thought it would be a great old school experience but it seems like time has just passed them by. Better places out there for the money. Sorry Kens I wanted to love you like I do your dressings..
Our party of five had a most enjoyable evening! Our waitress was friendly and patient, allowing us ample time to enjoy the food and the company. The food is delicious, from the scallops appetizer to the salads (love the house dressing) to the steaks, salmon and prime rib to the scrumptious desserts...2 huge thumbs up!
Special mother’s day menu was very overpriced and limited in their offerings.
Won’t do that again!
On a brighter note. I can’t remember better service from a waiter! Dan was exceptional, really good service! Very respectful young man. This society needs more men like Dan!
Bar staff did not pay much attention to us on a slow mid-afternoon. They spent more time talking to each other than watching us. We had to signal two or three times to get their attention.
We had a party of 9 and were having a small celebration of life for a loved who passed a few months ago, the staff allowed me to bring some silk flowers for the table (favorite color of our loved one) as well as a flameless candle and a picture board to sit in the empty chair. Our waiter was terrific, the food was fabulous. We all enjoyed our time spent at Ken's. A big thank you to everyone
Very good waiter. All food was very good except appetizer, scallops wrapped in Bacon. Great atmosphere though we were the only patrons in room.
Everything about it was just ok. I’ve had much better steak elsewhere.
Ken's is a great place to go for a family meal. They have lots of room and ample parking. The menu has enough options so that everyone can find something they like and the prices are very reasonable. The service has been outstanding consistently every time I have been here and the wait staff are courteous, friendly, and attentive and food is served promptly. If you are looking for a place to go with a group or a family on a budget, this is a great choice. Personally, I would prefer to listen to light jazz in the dinning area instead of the rock music that was playing when last I visited, but that was the only negative. I'd also suggest a smaller steak option for the ladies or diet conscious who just like to eat smaller portions. Love this place and will be back - great value, great service, great food.
Can't wait to get back for a Wednesday night prime rib dinner special at $14.95! What a deal!
Had a very nice group retirement dinner for a colleague. Excellent waitress who was extremely attentive to us. Would bring drink refills as she noticed we were running low. Food was very good.
Main dining room appearance is rather dated, but it seems the bar area was more recently updated.
Service was excellent. Food was delicious, between our party of 4 we tried meat and fish dishes, salads, and delicious desserts too. Price point is reasonable for the food and dining experience. We had not been in decades, but will return much sooner now!
The service was exceptional. Our server Sean was great. Attended to our every need. The food was cooked as ordered and was delicious.
The service, food, and atmosphere at Ken’s is always great! Some might say it’s a bit pricey but you get what you pay for. I’ve never had a bad experience there.
We loved Ken's because of the super service and perfectly cooked steaks.
We always enjoy going to Ken’s...good menu choice. Service is always good. Nice lounge area.
Ken’s atmosphere is cozy and welcoming. The wait staff is very pleasant and professional. The prime rib entree is definitely worth trying. It was very tender and flavorful. Ken’s is one of the best places to get prime rib in the area.
The food was excellent and reasonably priced. The food servers and staff were friendly and efficient.
We enjoyed returning to Ken's on a week night. The service and food was very good. The prime rib was delicious and very flavorful. It was a generous portion. The waiter gave us great service and asked us to return again. We plan to. I would definitely suggest you try or return to Ken's for a first class meal.
Very comfortable! Food was fantastic! Though Ken’s is a steakhouse, the seafood is excellent! Thanks Kens!
Went on a Sunday evening and was very quiet. Love all the Ken's salad dressings there. Meat and fish dishes were excellent.
Great place. Great service. Food is very good and we liked the entertainment.
Everything was wonderful! Our group of 9 enjoyed the service and everyone ‘s food was excellent. Great place to get together and our special guest from California was really pleased!
And our waiter was kid enough to take pictures of us all before we left!
It was nice the chef made me an item off the menu (steak au poivre). You would think a steak house would have this on their menu! The steak was very fatty and nothing special. For the price I would never go back. I would get a better steak at the 99. The service was great. I have been going to Ken’s steak House often on for many many years and I don’t know why I keep trying to give it another chance is to be great in the heyday and now it’s not good. Disappointed.
We enjoyed our visit and our meals. We plan on returning very soon. Thank you
Service was terrible. Half of our order was messed up. Gluten-free meal ordered was served with bread and NOT gluten free - I skipped dinner. Complained to Mgr apparently the server was fired. Management removed gluten-free meal from the bill & apologized. Too bad - we’ve been going to Ken’s for years. It’s not the best accounts but it has been decent, unfortunately services in the toilet now. .
Great experience. Food was delicious, and nice entertainment in the bar.
We had not been to Ken's Steak House for years, thus fully enjoyed ourselves with easy parking, very pleasant service, luncheon food, but by my standards just a bit expensive for lunch...
People were friendly, service was good , but food mediocre. Decor outdated. Time for an update.
I was quite disappointed. We were seated in a high traffic area near the kitchen. The rolls didn’t seem fresh. The meat was mediocre quality, and completely bland. The wine was almost watery. Angelica was a good server and quite competent. But that Delmonico did not deserve to be called a steak — while cooked properly it was misshapen and gristly. Also, the Caesar Salad just had the anchovies plopped on top. A high quality steakhouse smushes the anchovies into the dressing before tossing at table side. You have much room for improvement.
First time back here in 41 years - was celebrating valentine's day with my wife who I proposed to at Ken's back in 1978. Brought back lots of memories and walking in nothing had really changed over those 41 years. Very satisfied with overall experiecne
I thoroughly enjoyed my meal at Kens. Unfortunately for them we were only 1 of 3 tables dining the night before Valentines day. Because of this it was quiet and enjoyable for conversation. We were not rushed. Our waitress was very nice...maybe overly friendly referring to us by first names...but she was very attentive. Food was spectacular. Old fashioned favorites cooked and presented beautifully! Yes it hasn't been updated in years, but that does not affect the quality of the dining experience. I will return.
We tried kens new smaller dining room with prime cuts of beef and a private bar. Fabulous!
Bartender in cafe knew his stuff and was super helpful. Server was nice but whistles the entire time we were there-a bit distracting. Risotto was good but a bit over cooked so a bit gummy-but I get it-risotto is tough to make. Baked Alaska was lacking with hardly any meringue “burnt” and cake at bottom was really hard. Overall beautiful experience and I will be back.
Our group of six dined at Ken’s at lunch time. The restaurant is dated in terms of décor, quiet due to very few customers. Our waitress was appropriately friendly and gave excellent service. The steaks (4 diners) , however, were “ordinary” and ALL were overcooked.
Sadly we will not be returning to this restaurant.
The sirloin steak was very good and a generous portion. I was able to take half of the steak home for another meal. Our waitress gave us great service. Ken's Steak House is a classy place, and they value service. I would definitely recommend it.
We’ve always enjoyed going to Ken’s over the years. We moved to CT three years ago but we’re up for a visit over the weekend. Since our last visit, the remodeled the main entrance and added post lamps. Much improved.
At this visit, the service was good but the food was mediocre. Our house salads were made up with only three ingredients-iceberg lettuce, a small slice of onion, and a small slice of tomato. They lacked any presentation.
My daughter order the tuna and requested it be seared on both sides and remain red inside. It came over cooked and pink inside.
My steak was cooked as I requested but the bake potato was clearly baked at least an hour before it was served. It was lukewarm and had a firm consistency rather than fluffy.
Very tired place..Cobb salads were heads of lettuce soaked in salad dressing with little eggs and tomatoes
Probably cost $2.00 to make.
They need a makeover artist
Lots of parking though.
The six of us were disappointed.
Old school classic dining experience that still delivers top notch steak house food.
Had not been to Kens in a very long time and after the delicious meal we had can't understand why !
Certainly will be back soon
We were very pleased overall. Our waitress was excellent!! It took longer than expected, however, between ordering the main meal (which we did after appetizers) and receiving our food. We enjoyed the time to talk (sibling gathering) but because it was lunch we had time constraints. Nevertheless, we will return.
