This place is perfect. Incredible food, so full of flavor. The menu changes sometimes so you can try new things. Chef Paul is so fun to watch. Great pricing too because it’s BYOB

Music was a little random, loud rap music in this place seemed a little odd. Sent steak back because it was a little undercooked and got it back the same way I originally sent it back for. But the food was tasty and like the small byob vibe. Will give it another try.

What a pleasure to be back at KenLoves BYOB and be treated to Chef Pauly's cooking. It did not disappoint! For starters, the PEI mussels were some of the best I've had and I eat alot of mussels! The sauce had just the right amount of bite...perfect for dipping the grilled bread. The homemade purple potato pierogies were also really good. For the entrees, I had the papardelle with veal bolognese and my husband had the skirt steak and both were excellent. We shared the chocolate cake with peanut butter mousse which is one of my favorites desserts...not too sweet with just the right balance of chocolate and peanut butter. If you haven't given KenLoves a chance, I encourage you to do so!

I had the fish. It was cooked perfectly. My husband and I are from the neighborhood and wanted to go somewhere nice for our anniversary This restaurant was just what we needed. Small and just enough.
Perfect date night spot. Atmosphere is great, staff is friendly and very accommodating. Would def recommend!
Loved it as Jaxon. Same chef, now the owner. The restaurant hasn't lost a step. An underrated Philly byob gem. The Hanger steak and arctic char were superb. As was the strawberry galette dessert. Friendly service. Nice outdoor table with a heater, although also bustling indoors now. We'll certainly be back soon.

First time at this tiny BYOB. We will definitely return. We sat outside on a pleasant evening so then noise from motorcycles was a bit annoying but the food made up for it.
They start you with toasted bread with butter--mouthwatering.
Then salmon pastrami salad--just order it -- do not ask questions.
Then the chef's take on sauce Bolognese over pappardelle -- forget the red kind, this is heaven.
And last the perfectly prepared Spanish Mackerel -- crispy skin and moist flesh.
Add perfect service and it's a winner! BYO too.
Chef Paul continues to amaze with delicious food. This is a neighborhood gem, a great BYO, and a must-visit for anyone fed up with standard fare.
Slightly different menu and a bit more complicated dishes from his Jaxson days, but still incredible food in a great space with excellent casual service.

This chef is a genius. The way he marries flavors and the risks he takes combining ingredients that you would never imagine working. And it does! A gem in our neighborhood. And we look forward to him working his magic again and again!

Interesting fixed menu options for Valentine's Day Weekend -- grilled octopus, escargots, lobster pasta, filet of beef and salmon. All were excellent and service and spacing of tables was perfect. Great BYO location and atmosphere, will definitely be back.

Intimate, friendly experience. the staff was energetic and really made the experience fun. it’s a small space, only like 6 tables and pretty close together so keep that in mind when deciding to make a reservation during COVID.
I LOVE this restaurant it’s such a hidden gem in northern liberties. The food is amazing, different, and the byob option is so nice. The staff is so attentive and they did an excellent job with covid precautions. The energy was so positive I can’t wait to go back!
The frog legs were excellent, but they mains we're way too salty. Well past the point of enjoyable.

Ken Love’s is, in a word, AMAZING!!! The overall experience was phenomenal from the delicious food to the hyper attentive service and welcoming atmosphere. We did outdoor seating and with two heat lamps by our table it was quite cozy. We will absolutely be returning again and again! The vibe is casual yet the experience is elevated well beyond that because of the high caliber menu and service!!
It was a cold night, but the heat lamps worked! We were not miserable outside! And the food was incredible! Paul, the owner, is the friendliest guy we know! Everything we tasted was delicious.
The former home of JAXON is now reflagged and its brilliant chef is now the owner. At risk of hyperbole, the food is simply amazing and this place remains my favorite restaurant in Philadelphia.
I try to eat at KenLOVES BYOB as often as possible; the menu has a relatively small (but varied) number of items but it changes frequently and I don't want to miss trying anything offered! Beyond the beautiful presentation of each plate, the flavor profiles of the dishes never cease to amaze. Flavors that I'd never think of mixing, the chef manages to harmonize in ways that delight. As a BYOB, one can have a five star meal at a very reasonable cost. Try it - you won't be disappointed!
The first time we were here, around Halloween, it was Fantastic. I mean really, really fantastic. The time not so much. The duck that was so perfectly done, tender inside with a crisp skin the first time around, was tepid, tough and over cooked. The pasta was kinda bland.
