   We had an amazing experience dining at Kengai. Everyone was so hospitable and kind to us, and we ordered the bao buns, tikka masala, massaman curry, pad thai, and the matcha roll- all of which were delicious as we were craving Asian cuisine. They also were so generous with 2 rounds of welcome drinks and a mango tapioca dessert as we were celebrating my birthday and my friend’s acceptance into vet school! We could not be more thrilled with our night as all the staff went above and beyond.

   Really enjoyable dinner at Kengai. Israel our waiter provided stellar service and the food was delicious. Bao Buns and dumplings for appetizer and Pad Thai and Bibimbop for dinner.......yum!!! They also have a great mixologist at the bar, our cocktails were on point!

   The staff was extremely courteous and attentive. The value for the amount of food is very lacking. It is very pretty and somewhat tasty but overall just too expensive for what you get. Ambience and staff are excellent.

   Thai spring roll and boa buns were delicious. Tikka Masala could use a little more spice/ flavor but overall was still good. Ambiance and service was great.

   Our family of four (parents and two teens) liked Kengai enough to eat there twice while staying at the Conrad outside Tulum. The dumplings and thereage (teriyaki chicken over rice) were a huge hit for my picky eater kid, and the rest of us sampled the various dishes of the menu. The bibimbap was the highlight for me, with a nice wok flavor on the vegetables and perfect rice. The ambiance is upscale but casual and family friendly. The wait staff is friendly and prompt, though not as polished or attentive as a true fine dining restaurant. Portion size is just right, and nothing was left uneaten. Desserts were highlighted by the chocolate sphere, which echos the design of restaurant’s architecture and is melted in front of the diner by a bath in hot chocolate sauce. We don’t drink alcohol, but we do have beverages, appetizers and desserts, so our check came to around $300 US each evening for the four of us. I would say this typical for this hotel/resort, with high and lower cost options available.

    Food was all very good - kids menu also very good (udon was a but too small, but the chicken was very good). Service was excellent.
