At KELP we take our time to make sure the food that goes on your plate is a fresh and local as possible. We source our seafood to be specifically Scottish and sustainable. We pride ourselves on using local suppliers for all our food. The fish people supply our fresh seafood daily. Our bread comes from Soja bakehouse, a family owned bakery in Cumbernauld. Our meat comes from ABR butchers, based in Bearsden.
Our executive chef, Christopher Hutchison, creates amazing, innovative dishes to be enjoyed and shared with friends and loved ones. We now have an AA rosette for 2023/2024 to highlight his and the teams amazing work. We are located on Cowcaddens Road, just around the corner from our sister restaurant, Ardnamurchan Restaurant and Bar and a stones throw from the theatre royal. Perfect for a meal before a show. Relax in our modern, airy restaurant and watch the chefs work in the open kitchen. Our signature dish is our crab doughnut, you'll be amazed!

We tried four different “small plates” to share and they were all REALLY HOOD! Interesting combinations of flavors in each one!

To be sitting in the outside shady oasis that is Kelp’s little garden on the hottest day of the year was quite honestly one of the most amazing dining experiences I’ve had! The staff were incredible, so friendly and efficient - and the food was exceptional! There wasn’t a single thing we wouldn’t order again (we had the fixed price market menu), and along with a lovely chilled bottle of rose we definitely didn’t feel like we were right in the centre of Glasgow .. would absolutely recommend (and will absolutely return!).

We've come to Kelp many times and this one did not disappoint. The dishes are always delicious and inventive, the staff are friendly and attentive, and the setting is fun and casual. The pastrami-cured salmon is not to be missed. Thanks for another great meal!

Food very good. Different but really tasty. Oisters were outstanding. We had au natural. Was very quiet for a Friday lunch time and was a lovely ambience in the beer garden

This was our second time visiting Kelp after coming a week or so previously, and again it did not disappoint! The staff are so attentive, the food is amazing and the service was quick, especially considering the food is immaculate! We will definitely be back, lots!
