5 of us had dinner to celebrate a 50th birthday. We ranged from age 18 to 71 and we all enjoyed the location as well as 3 apps we sampled and 5 different main dishes. Our waiter, Andrew, was very helpful with menu suggestions and answering our questions.
Thank you for a enjoyable experience!!
We enjoyed a wonderful lunch to celebrate a friend’s birthday! Food was good and atmosphere and service was excellent. We will return to Keatings.
I went to New Years Eve with my son to have a good time and enjoy the fireworks on Penn’s Landing. The restaurant is beautiful, however the hot food was cold, I saw a waiter returning a ceasar salad to the station after someone didn’t eat what is unacceptable in all restaurant for sanitary conditions. No one food was really good, I went for many different New Years Celebrations including to watch the fireworks in Copacabana (Rio de Janeiro) and the food was really exceptional.
The music was really aloud and no one song was for a New Years occasion, impossible to talk.
The service was less than ok, we were in a small table for 2 and it was an eternity to remove the plates. We were eating the deserts with plates piled.
To order something was another eternity as the same to pay.
Finally, the fireworks, the view is not so good we can see the fireworks in the sky but not entire scene due the location, what’s not the restaurants fault but is another point to consider.
Honestly I read similar reviews here but I decided to go since my son is 18 and it’s not easy to find events that he can go (minor 21).
We left really disappointed, I expected at least a medium event in general but neither this we had.
$200 for a buffet?
No meat, lukewarm items.
Half empty...major disappointment. NEVER again.
Fool me once, shame on me...fool me twice?
Way over-priced for NYE and for what was offered. Might be good otherwise but it will not be a NYE destination ever again. Server was very attentive and did a nice job.
This is my 3rd year going to Keating’s on New Years Eve. We had friends join us this year & I was embarrassed that they (and we) paid so much for so little. No music or festivities of any kind (unlike the last 2 years). Food & service was sub par. I will not be returning next NYE. We spent $250 on buffet dinner for 4 + cash bar & it was definitely not worth it! I think the party I invited is upset b/c it was a huge waste of $
Hasan, our waiter, was great. He recommended some amazing dishes. The ambiance was great as well.
The waiter was amazing. The food was delicious, the filet mignon melts in your mouth. Couldn't have asked for a more perfect evening celebrating a birthday.
My group of Golden Girls went for breakfast to celebrate our Christmas exchange and all the girls were so happy with my choice of restaurant - good food and great staff. We are in the process planning another get together at Keating’s Rope n Anchor.
Nowhere on the website does it say this is a hotel restaurant. It felt like a large diner with bright lights, not romantic or intimate at all.
We enjoyed the Thanksgiving brunch. There was a nice selection of food. We will return.
We were staying in the hotel and needed something easy with our five year old.
The food was good(next great but good). The server was attentive and wanted to please us and make it easy with my daughter. The decor seems new and was bright and comfortable with big tables.
Didn’t say real clear it was in the Hilton hotel. And parking was 10$.
Food was really good; ambience could be better. Felt rushed by our waiter, which was unfortunate as everything else was great.
Great way to relax after a long day. Views are awesome and service was spot on.
My husband and I ate at Keating’s for the first time and will not be going back!! After ordering our food we waited for what felt like forever and when our food finally came they brought our entree’s first, then our salad and then our appetizer....crazy!! The food was room temp at best and wasn’t anything to rave over. We were seated outside on the deck which was nice because of the view of the water etc. Keating’s needs to step up its game with all the fabulous local eateries flooding the area!!!
The food was mediocre at best. The decor was nice but the carpet was dirty.
Nice place to watch fireworks Food was good. Only complaint was that there were signs everywhere for Hilton Awards when you spend a certain amount for food. Wait staff directed me to front desk only to find out the deal had expired.
location great and very nice restaurant but food was very sub-par. guacamole was pre-made and not fresh and suspect the burger was frozen and lacked any flavor. Overall the food was under seasoned and not very good.
Good breakfast buffet with excellent omelettes and pretty good coffee. Nice views of the river and Camden waterfront. Great place for breakfast if you are staying at the hotel. Sunday morning breakfast was pretty crowded so a reservation is a good idea.
We had an amazing food experience just prior to a night out!
I had the shrimp tacos...the menu description was better than the actual meal. I was expecting fresh shrimp at least, no I got frozen breaded shrimp out of a bag. My wife's flathead was horrible and she couldn't finish it. The waitress was in a bad mood and believe you me the tip reflected it.
The apps and soups were wonderful but the dinner was just ok. Not horrible but just not great. We ate here before and it was very good. I’m wondering if it was because we were there just before 5 so we had the choice of lunch or dinner entrees. 1/2 of the group had lunch and 1/2 had dinner entrees. We were thinking that maybe it was a shift change. The view is nice. You get to see the swan boats and the ferry coming in and out of dock.
Awesome staff! Great for food. Excellent burger. Signature cocktails, delicious. Great outdoor patio, perfect for people watching.
Great location! Enjoyed the people watching and my dinner.
We chose this spot because we were arriving at the Hilton & needed to find an easy-to-get-to restaurant. Food was just “meh”, portion sizes were good though. Staff was attentive & did their job, but they were either understaffed or unexpectedly busy on a Thurs night. Certainly not worth the over priced options. Makes me sick that these places can charge so much. I supposed we were paying for the ambiance more than anything. Wine pours were generous, so there is that!
Food was good, but the service was slow. Waiter seemed to actually disappear for a while.
Only other issue was the restroom. You need a key to access it, which is an inconvenience, and the ladies room was a mess. Additionally, we had a man ask if his small son could the ladies room because the men's room was atrocious and the poor child was to afraid to use the men's room.
Visiting from out of town and my mother and cousins all met up for dinner. We sat on the patio and started with a few bottles of wine, Justin was our server and he was great. All of our apps and entrees were terrific and Justin was kind enough to let us order from the dinner menu inside which was different from the patio. Overall amazing...thanks again we will definitely be back!!!
Very good overall. Service was attentive without being rushed, portions were generous. Exchanged a wine we didn’t like without blinking. Enjoyed sitting outside, had no problem getting a table on a Friday evening. Would return!
The Food Was the worst. Lobster bisque was so watered down with hardly any lobster. The cheesesteak spring rolls were greasy. The avocado bruschetta was out of the can. I’ll never go back again
Very nice view, right on the water and next to the park. Was very underwhelmed by the service. I don't think our server said anything to us beside "okay". The food was ok as well.
Terrific view, good food and a friendly wait staff, though the service was slow, I think one waitress was covering most of the restaurant. Did not like the bathroom situation, it was locked and you had to get a key from someone every time.
Due to a very busy restaurant, we were forced to eat at the buffet. Food was very poor. Beef was inedible. I had a baked chicken wing and some au gratin potatoes and became sick afterward.
I do not want to provide bad review. It eS extremely crowded, only offered the buffet. I was not impressed with buffet but I was cool inside and very very busy. I would have to give them fair chance and revisit she there was not big event
Good location if spending time at Penns Landing. Food was average. Not a lot of GF / vegetarian options. Service was attentive.
We celebrated early Mother's day (on May 12th) in there and loved their food! great view and awesome service - our waiter Andreu was the BEST !
Enjoyable lunch on patio for graduation celebration. Great staff, service and good menu selections. Bar prices a bit high, food average rate.
Although the waiter was pleasant, he was forgetful and did not seem to understand the concept of good service. Although the quality of the food was good, the food was not served on a timely basis and my salad was served with my meal. Since our meals were not served on a timely basis, it would have made sense to serve the salad before the meal. The rolls which were excellent were also served with the meal. Again, since the meals were not served in a reasonable time, the rolls would have helped make the wait more pleasant. My wife ordered coffee and I had to remind the server to bring it to her.
The ambiance of the restaurant was nice and the view was very nice, but overall, it was not a good experience and we would not return. I was disappointed that this well know hotel chain could not do better.
We really enjoyed our dinner at Keating's Rope and Achor. We sat on the patio, which has a great view over the river, where you can watch all the goings-on at the Battleship New Jersey across the way to the swan boats in the harbor, to the folks strolling along the river walkway below. Our food was delicious--we both went for the clam chowder for starters, which I really recommend. Service was great. We were there on Friday evening, and there was a guitar player from 6-9 who we enjoyed. Definitely recommend this spot--It's in the Hilton Hotel at Penn's Landing, easy walk from Stop #1 on the Philly Phlash.
We went on Saturday hoping to get a table outside. We got there and they didn't have a table right then but told us it would be about 15 minutes. After the time came and went I asked the hostess how much longer, and I could see tables open outside. She then informed me that her manager said not to seat anyone outside, only inside for another 30 minutes. Needless to say we were not happy. We finished our drinks and left. We will never return to this place
