KC American Bistro- Estero
Order in waves here. We arrived were seated and ordered a bottle of wine. When the wine came we ordered appetizers and entrees. The appetizers were there in under 5 minutes and as soon as they were cleared the entrees arrived. All in under 25 minutes. As the plates were cleared again we were immediately asked about dessert - this was at 45 minutes in and we still had 1/3 bottle of wine. Told the waiter we wanted to wait and he came back twice after within the next 10 minutes to check. There were plenty of open tables and our reservation was for 6:30. We were paid and outside within the hour. Wine offerings is decent and fairly priced for the most part. Food is presented well but I have been here twice since mid-October and the food is average. There are other options.
Food was excellent. We had both the special charity menu choices and choices off the main menu. The scallops and the grouper were delicious. The wild mushroom bisque and the beet salad were both amazing. The same goes for the pork tenderloin and cedar planked salmon. Big eye poke and Hawaiian ribs were great starters. The drawback was our service. We had to ask for bread, coffee was ordered, but it came without cream and sugar and a spoon. We had to ask 3 wait staff members before getting cream and sugar, but we never got a spoon. The wait staff did keep our water glasses filled and asked us about our drinks and cocktails numerous times. We can only assume that the staff is new and training before the grand opening. We hope it gets better.
Would like a seasonal menu change
This was our first time at this restaurant. Friends recommended it and we are so happy they did. Everything was wonderful...the food, the service and the atmosphere. We will definitely go back.
Wonderful and unusual flavors, delicious. Great for a special occasion, we were celebrating a birthday and the waiter forgot the complimentary dessert so the manager ran out to the parking lot to catch us before we left to make sure we got the dessert.
So happy to have a great restaurant in the neighborhood.
All around great meal
We all ordered different dishes and were all pleased with our selection. The 3 course prix fixe is a very good value. The service was very attentive with only one mistake of reaching across my friend to serve my dish. There was plenty of room for the server to step around, which he did every other time he brought food to our table. We would absolutely return and recommend KC Bistro In Estero.
Can't find better food. Original. Higher priced but worth the money.
Upon entering the decor just relaxed & we knew we were in for a special evening. After ordering cocktails, which were beautiful pours & not an excessive amount of ice, the waiter Angelo answered our questions about the menu. We ordered the romaine belt salad & it had the perfect amount of bacon, chopped romaine so you didn’t fight the size of the leaves & delicious dressing. I ordered the short ribs, my husband ordered the pumpkin seeded salmon. Without a doubt everyone agreed the short ribs were by far the best we had ever tasted. I can’t wait to return. This is a must. Go to restaurant.
Food and service were both very good! Loved that the 'Chef' came out and presented every meal, nice touch!
Food was outstanding. One of the best pork chops we have ever had. Ordered off the specials menu. Watermelon salad not my favorite. Chunks of watermelon with softened goat cheese and balsamic drizzle. I would have preferred a greens salad. Host and hostess were very friendly. I wish I could say the same for the server. Would have appreciated a happy hour at the bar.
Very good experience... food was excellent and we enjoyed our Anniversary
A fantastic experience! We had the mushroom soup, beet salad and seared Ahi. All excellent.
Excellent, fresh food.
Spacious. Comfortable seating.
Patrons nicely dressed. A touch of class.
First time visit. Owners and staff exceptionally friendly and welcoming. Crab corn soufflé was delicious.
Food was delicious and Jake our server was fantastic.
Food is wonderful, and the service friendly. Atmosphere is lovely, with the white tablecloths and beautiful wall decor. The problem is still the ugly green plastic salt and paper mills, which stick out like sore thumbs.
I have eaten at both the Naples and the Estero locations. The food and Service is great in both locations! I met two of the owners of the Estero location, they run the front of the restaurant. A husband a wife team. Very personable, made or experience very enjoyable! The chef is the second owner, he runs the kitchen / food. As I said earlier, the food is great! I highly recommend the restaurant. Overall, I give both restaurants 5 stars!
Great restaurant. After a few visits you will be asking for a periodic menu change/update.
The service was excellent and the food was really good. The noise level was uncomfortable for such a nice restaurant. Noise was coming from the bar area. The price was very high. Good for a special occasion but not for a weekly meal.
The atmosphere was good, clean, up-to-date. Service very good. Friendly and professional. The menu looked great and I was ready to spend the extra for what I anticipated to be a great meal. Not so much. Food was fair but far from great. The appetizer was so over cooked that I couldn’t even recognize the prosciutto. Main entree was the very highly recommended special, but flavorless. I hope they get better- i would love to see them succeed, but at those prices and far less than spectacular product, I would not go back.
The service staff was very attentive and friendly. We wish they offered normal butter and not truffle butter or have been given a choice. All of our dishes we basic and lacked any type of color. To be direct they were boring to look at and were dark and dull. The Caesar Kale salad was the most boring plate I have ever seen...you can get a better looking salad at a fast food restaurant. Two if us had the braised short ribs and they were dry and tough.
I was at the KC Bistro in Naples and had a MUCH better food experience. Perhaps the Estero location is going through some growing pains. I will be back but will wait a few more months. Oh...they need to stop using so much low grade truffle oil on their dishes.
Food was excellent and nice atmosphere. Everyone at our table of 9 loved their entrees.
This is our 3rd visit to the restaurant, and each time has been a very good experience.
This was our first visit through this KC Bistro location. They treated us very special and accommodated our every request. My wife ordered the Filet Mignon and she was very pleased with this entree. Our guests ordered the grouper and the were also very pleased with their meal. I had the Ahi tuna, and while the tuna tasted fresh, I was not enamored with the sweet tasting coating. I prefer to have my tuna just served with wasabi and soy sauce. The bread that came with the meal was excellent, but the special honey butter seemed to distract from the bread. Our waiter, Jake, was very willing to bring us normal butter. We enjoyed our dining experience and will definitely try KC again.
I took my girlfriend here for our Anniversary. They were very polite from the beginning. We were not expecting them to give us a free dessert! All in all it was a very good place to eat. We will be back.
The restaurant is beautiful. The staff is welcoming, attentive and knowledgeable. We ordered the potato encrusted bronzino and found it to be a little dry. It could have used more of the beurre blanc sauce. We took advantage of the BOGO coupon which helped.
We had dinner at KC American Bistro in Estero Saturday evening. This restaurant is a class act. The service and food were outstanding. My wife had the duck and I had the scallops for the main course. Both were incredibly good. Make sure you try the dates wrapped in prosciutto. They were out of this world. We had a table for 2 outside and it was quiet and relaxing. Very nice ambiance. I give this restaurant 5 stars on everything
Delicious food; grouper was excellent! Everyone in our party of four loved it. Would highly recommend the restaurant to others. Glad it’s close to home!
My husband and I enjoyed our first meal at KC American Bistro last weekend. I thought they had a wonderful wine list, varied menu and cool vibe. I ordered the potato encrusted Branzino and my husband ordered the Black Grouper. Bother were cooked perfectly and served with accompaniments. My only knock was the fact that my potatoes were very undercooked. For a started we ordered the Crab and Corn Souffle. As soufflé's go, it was not light and fluffy. It was very dense but full of crab, more like a crab cake in a mini-soufflé's cup. For $16, I thought it would have been a larger portion. We met one of the owner's who was very present in the dining room. That will serve the restaurant well as he was making a stop at all tables and doing things to assist his waitstaff. Will definitely be back!
I was very disappointed. My grouper was cold and hard, not moist and flakey. My husband had the lamb chops which he enjoyed. Our waiter was inattentive and we had to ask another waiter to get us a second drink. I really expected better at this restaurant
This was my third time at KC American. Loved it every time. And I’m coming back next Saturday!! My new go to place in this area. The pumpkin seed salmon and sweet potato au gratin are exceptional! And Vali provided two birthday deserts!! Delicious!!
Food was excellent. Wait staff was professional but did not offer to refill water glasses or replace sIlverware.
The service and food was excellent. With coupon it was a real value
The pork chops are usually outstanding but this time they were over done and dry.
Six diners, all thought the food and service was excellent
Portions were very small for the price. Salad dressing was watery and very small for $12. Food was mediocre.
Wonderful meal. The wait staff were very attentive, and there was a wonderful ambience. The only comment I have is that the food was a little too sweet. Was there sugar in the butter?
So excited to have a quality restaurant next door to our neighborhood. Food and service are both excellent.
