Omakase at Kazahana is an elegant and formal dining experience served in a beautiful space. Chef Naoki Takahashi will prepare 15 courses using the finest seasonal ingredients available in the world. Omakase literally translates to "I leave it up to the Chef", so diners will not need place an order. Cocktails, fine wine and sake are available from your server at additional cost. Wine and Sake pairings designed by Beverage Director Colin O'Neill are also available. Reservations are available at 545pm and 815pm for up to 10 guests Tuesday through Saturday (not available Sunday and Monday.) Omakase dining with Chef Nao will be an unforgettable dining experience.

absolutely amazing food and staff. our waiter was so patient and helpful with the menu and made our dining experience wonderful. we got to try a specialty dish on the house and the chefs were so kind and proud of their beautiful work. will be coming here lots more times… highly suggest the thin rice paper mochi and all three cuts of toro nigiri 😊

Fabulous sushi with the perfect sake and wine pairing. Chef described each serving with great detail and enthusiasm. It seemed each serving exploded with flavor on my pallet.

Food is top notch. Better than almost any prime urban star sushi restaurant. Room is beautiful. And team works so hard for the customers. So do the chefs!

The Omakase was good but they included edamame, small bowl of miso soup, and small bread pudding desert as one of the 15 ‘courses’ so it’s more like 12 pieces of sushi which isn’t much for $150/person price tag, plus 4% for kitchen staff 11% for tax and 20%+ for tip. 15 actual pieces of sushi or 15 courses would have been better.

It was the first time we went to this relatively new restaurant, so we did not know what to expect. From the outside, Kazahana looks small but it has a room downstairs as well, which makes it cozy. A couple smaller rooms is always better than one huge one. The service was excellent and food good. We had seafood ceviche as na appetizer and some nigiri and sushi rolls. All typical sushi place dishes. The only negative thing I would say is that we wanted to order hot sake and they said they don't make hot sake, just cold, served in a wine glass. I found that dissapointing and odd.

The ambiance is good, but if you are gf, this is not a good option, at least thru the eyes of our server. Unfortunately, we may have just experienced poor service & the owner was preoccupied with another table and seemed unconcerned. Our server informed us that all rolls and entrees were off the table for gf- when pushed, the server did come back & state the roll could be prepared gf. When I inquired about the salad, our servers description was so basic, that I chose to pass- however I did see it served to another guest, and this may have been a viable option & looked delicious. Overall, we left unhappy & unsatisfied, & will not revisit when back in town. Hopefully the server will become better informed about options available, and this issue will be resolved for future gf guests.

The wonton cups and the maguro Chirashi were stellar. The nigori flatlined cocktail is incredible and the mochi and crème brûlée finished the night off perfectly. IAmazing food, we will return.

The food surpassed our expectations and the service was warm and attentive. We sat at the Omakase bar and had one of the best Omakases we’ve ever had anywhere. It was a wonderful experience that we will be coming back to.

We did the Omakase experience at Kazahana. Telluride for being as wonderful as a ski town, has gotten even better with this gem of an addition. I am not keen on Sake, so margarita it was, and will tag it as the best margarita I have had in Telluride to date as well. The exp. Including 15 small plates from veggie, soup, fish, wagu, & dessert. All top notch. If your looking for an experience and are familiar with Omakase, Kazahana is a must. We will most definitely return.

So glad to have a new fine dining option in telluride. The sushi was outstanding. Owners have done a terrific build out. Very authentic to a ski town. We will definitely be going back.

We were so excited to get to try Kazahana for my daughter's 11th birthday. The food was incredible, the staff was attentive and friendly, and the ambiance was cozy but beautiful. We had a great experience and will definitely be coming back!
