Our server was most helpful in explaining the menu offerings in detail besides providing recommendations. Food and presentation were excellent.

We sat at the bar and enjoyed several happy hour bites, drinks, and a regular entree. Great service from the friendly bartender, food came out well spaced, and everything was delicious.

Wonderful first time at Kayao! Certainly won't be the last. Enjoyed our immersion into Peruvian cuisine. Outstanding service. Beautifully designed space.

Great new Peruvian restaurant in Old Town. The ceviche and the seafood risotto dish were outstanding. Multiple types of ceviche available, and trying at least one of them is a can’t miss experience when eating at Kayao. Additionally, there is a unique sushi roll on the menu that was delicious and unlike anything I’ve had at another restaurant. Only dish that was disappointing were the yucca fritters. Somewhat bland, though this did not detract much from the overall experience. Will need to return to try other menu items like the beef short rib which many have said is excellent.

The ceviche is the best I’ve had! The presentation and ambiance of the restaurant is also fantastic. This is one of the most underrated restaurants in Chicago.

Got the fried rice w/ smoked duck. Definitely worth a try, drinks were good too. Waitstaff was attentive, good food. Table was a bit high? Not sure how the seating is in the rest of the restaurant but our table was considerably higher than the booth seating, bar height maybe? Didn’t make the food taste any different. It was a good time, check it out.

This was one of the best dinners I have ever had I remember that mix of flavors it was so delicious I will come back I don’t think you should not let the years of your life pass without coming to this amazing restaurant one of the greatest restaurant I have ever been to it has changed my life as a human being
