Delicious high quality and fresh! Great ambiance!
our waiter was excellent.. food and drinks! 👌🏻this is for sure right now my new favorite place for sushi 🍣
Food is amazing. Service is top notch. Lounge type vibe or very intimate atmosphere.
The food was so good. Service was also good and the place, the atmosphere, the music, everything was excellent.
Sushi was fresh and tasty! Lots of different types of fish you don't get at other regular sushi restaurants. Wagyu was also delicious. Staff and service was great. Recommend this restaurant!
Food was delicious, the service great!
Good experience overall.
Had a beautiful evening with delicious food + drinks and great service! Definitely coming back for round 2 and on! Thank you so much to our waitress Samantha you are amazing!
No outdoor seating even though I requested it on my reservation. All the tables were set outside but they would not seat us outside. The dining room was only one quarter full but they made us wait 10 minutes outside before seating us even though we had a reservation. After ordering an assortment of food and drink, we were told they could not bring us our salad because they ran out of the greens fir the salad. They could not serve us the lobster rolls we ordered because they ran out of lobster or the Japanese uni sushi. How do you run out of essentials during the early dinner hour? The waiter kept disappearing for what seemed like eternity multiple times. As we got to the end of the meal, the volume of the music went way up like night club level. It killed what little ambiance there was left. We could hardly hear ourselves. Kaviar used to be a nice place. We won’t be dining there again.
Very classy and the food was amazing
Portions are very Small.
Excellent ambiance, dinner and service. 5 stars all around. Will be looking to visit again when I am in Pasadena next
Very good customer service !! Great food ! Everything is good !! So great
Favorite sushi spot!
Food was delicious, excellent quality and beautiful presentation. The service was a bit slow and the food wasn't timed well. Too much food came at one time. We waited quite awhile for our table to be cleared.
Great quick service, food delicious, cool ambiance
Really enjoyed our dinner at Kaviar. Great service, sushi was fresh, great flavors, beautiful setting. We'll definitely be back.
The Toro sushi is as delicious as I’ve ever had anywhere. The Lemon roll is also fantastic and the beef sukiyaki is very good. I don’t understand how this place isn’t getting praised all over the local restaurant press. Give them a try.
My parents and boyfriend went to celebrate my mother’s birthday and it was lovely at the end they surprised us with a song and desert. Everything was good except the cocktails didn’t come out until after the first appetizer. They said the bar was backed up. My mom ordered a roll that was so spicy it was inedible for her and she can handle spice! Lastly, I ordered the tofu dish and it was so boring, I could have made something have more flavor! I heard kaviar was super special but there are lots of other sushi restaurants to eat at.
The presentation, appearance and menu description of the food was given much more thought and effort than that of the flavoring and taste of the food itself. Tempura dough was excessively heavy, had only one shrimp with the rest vegetables.
Cocktails had very little alcoholic beverage content.
Service was attentive however.
The food was great. The service was great. Atmosphere good. But seriously way overpriced.
The service was not bad but it didn’t feel personable or friendly. We ordered sparkling water and when we ran out and asked for tapwater the waiter simply poured tap water into a glass that was half full with sparkling water
Waited for long time even I had a reservation.we sat on the couch not comfortable to eat.we ordered food they forgot to bring it to table.Very bad management and bad service.
Food was bland, ambiance was more club-style. Overpriced for the quality of the food. Maybe some people like it, but wasn’t for me.
Everything was delicious but the spicy yellowtail escolar roll was AMAZING!!!! Great service, wonderful ambience and decor. Would most definitely go back
The place looks great and the food was fantastic.
Great service. Our server Justin was very helpful. He was also very attentive. The food was high quality, melt in your mouth sushi. I will definitely be coming back. Thank you for a lovely evening!
Last day of Dine in LA. So glad we were able to get in! Service was rushed. But was worth it in the end as all the food choices on the Dine in LA menu complimented each other. Great Value. We have tried Kaviar before. Was pricey in our opinion. But after this experience we may try again. Their fish quality is exceptional!
Epic food. Just amazing. Great service and decor!
Didn’t expect the awesome ambience. I chose the restaurant on a whim. Great food and waiters.
Opentable allowed 11:15 reservation but doesn’t open until 11:30am.
“Ran out of oysters” for dineLA menu.
No explanation of omakase selection.
Ambiance good. Food above average. Service below average. Overall experience didn’t meet our expectations. Prices excessive. Will not recommend to friends.
Order got screwed up and wasn’t anything like the server described. Waited over 30 mins on this order to find that she hadn’t placed the order. Than was pushy to get us to order more drinks to help cover the mistake. Could have empowered to offer us a drink or dessert on the house, but nothing.
Live in Pasadena and eat out often. This restaurant will not be on our “return” list. To pricey for a below average experience.
On our 2nd visit to celebrate a birthday, our experience was equally exceptional as our 1st. Although we were disappointed that couple of our selections were not available, all other dishes we had were delicious & presentation was phenomenal!
Great food, great drinks, great service, great environment!
The fancy ambiance good for a date or special occasions!
All the menu are Japanese but not a authentic. They modified for American or non-Asian (i.e no seaweed for Sushi either hand rolls)
Food portion is small. Overpriced with the food quality they served. Sake was watery.
Nori used to wrap handroll was really chewy for the following reasons:
Warm rice, stale nori or rolls were premade.
Will not go back or recommend to anyone.
Waited 30 min to be seated even though not lots of people dinning there, and food portion is kinda small
Well if you look for some place different from a traditional sushi bar, this is the place with vibe and trendy feel. I am a foodie, so food is more important. The quality is good, pricy for what you're getting. Place is dark, more romantic I guess. Artistry food presentation, even the cocktail. Service is good, servers often greet you with phrases like 'wonderful', 'absolutely', 'of course', like reading from scripts, but that should be considered as courtesy. We tried the Dina LA menu, comes with small portions of appetizers and omakaze sushi, the size of the fish is thin, but it comes with beverage that includes a glass of wine, soda or tea. again, not a lot for normal people tummy, but a good place to bring a date.
Our server, Alex, was great and provided great information on the food and drink menu. He definitely made the experience worth it
Unbeknownst to us, checkin was at the top of a staircase, despite the obviously placed host podium at the front door. When someone finally filled us in, we were last to check in behind others with the same or later reservations. The restaurant opened at 6 and we held a 6 o’clock reservation. This delay marred the entire experience, in that dishes were already gone by the time our order was taken. We were also last served behind the other diners.
The decor was upscale and sophisticated. However the music was loud and contained a weird mix of Motown and modern popular rap. Not the soundtrack for a relaxing upscale dining experience. Maybe consider some classic jazz… something more in keeping with the ambiance you’re trying to crest. Our waitstaff was mostly excellent (Shota). Others were a little confused, bringing out the prixfixe courses in the wrong order and continually neglecting to remove used dishes from our table. The bussing staff was stellar. The value of the meal was fine and the actual presentation was pure artistry. It’s a beautiful space to dine, but these issues need to be addressed before we return.
Best sushi place! Hands down- never disappoints!
